The food was very good. Service was excellent. The only problems I had were one I went there, especially for the strawberry pie that they have is there picture for their restaurant on yelp and they haven't served it in two years. And I'm not someone that complains about the temperature too much, but it was kind of chilly in there. But I would go back, especially if they make that pie that strawberry pie. That was the whole reason I went there and they didn't have it that sucks.

Friendly service, great pancakes. I don't eat meat and was immediately offered spinach to add onto my breakfast sandwich instead.

I simply want to keep it all to myself...but as an Elite Yelper, I feel an inordinate moral calling to share this great, super fun, place! It is a tiny, tiny place (hence, the first part of its name.) Maximum capacity of about 35 people. It has an outside volleyball court and a great outside deck on which you can enjoy a cool upscale beverage, or a Coors Light....literally it is that kind of place, something for everyone!!!! On a beautiful day, what a place to spend the afternoon for some fabulous burgers and the libation of your absolute choice! Now for the GREAT stuff. Amazing burgers. Like Amazing. Juicy, flavorful. Yum. Cozy tables and high tops with stools and a decent sized bar inside, then the nice deck, outside. The locals clearly know about this place and they have kept it a DEEP SECRET. I understand. It is a prize and if I were them, I would do the same. We heard about this cubbyhole, randomly, through rumor. Then we found it on Facebook. Our car driving group made arrangements to have a happy hour on a beautiful, sunny, fall Saturday following a rally style drive around WNY. The owner, Jennifer, was wonderfully accommodating when contacted in advance, agreeing to prepare a happy hour offering for us from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon, with special burger sliders and fry baskets for our drivers as appetizers, as we finished our rally style drive and rolled into Stafford New York in waves. We took over the Tiny Piney for a two hour period. Total fun. Steph, the master mixologist who totally dominates the Tiny Piney's unique bar, developed two specialty cocktails for our group. One was called the Pink Cadillac Margarita, and the other was called the Road Trip Cold Brew. Both. Were. Incredible. My driving group, The Western New York Drivers, are a great group of folks who love cars--from the very high end supercars and exotics to classics to muscle cars. Our drivers who are of all walks of life, were all so impressed with the incredible hospitality offered by The Tiny Piney, and their warm and welcoming group of local patrons. It is not every day that millions of dollars worth of cars driven by strangers, roll into a tiny bar in upstate Western New York, but the Tiny Piney handled it in total stride and arranged in advance for great parking on the lawn of the neighboring car business for our cars. Just perfect. My husband and I live 50 minutes from this hidden gem, and mark my words, we will be back before driving season's end, with or without our larger ensemble....as soon as possible! Thank you Steph and Jennifer for a warm welcoming Tiny Piney hug!

My sister and I took our mom out to dinner and picked this spot since it's closer to her than us…read more None of us had been before, so we were going in blind. When we walked in, another customer was raving about the food and telling us how much we'd enjoy it, which honestly made me feel a lot better about trying somewhere new in an unfamiliar area. The vibe is like a bar turned restaurant, dark and a little moody but not off-putting. My mom even got a cutesy leprechaun margarita, which made her smile. We started with 10 mild wings for the table, my sister got a Caesar salad and said the dressing tasted homemade, and this is where I tried French onion soup for the first time. It was okay, just really salty. My mom ended up finishing it, but I did like that the cheese layer wasn't too heavy. I'm still on the hunt for a French onion that really does it for me. I didn't get pictures of the mains, but my mom and I both got steak, I had mashed potatoes and she got a baked potato. My sister got the fettuccine alfredo and marveled at the flavor. She kept saying you can tell it's a local spot and not a chain just by the care put into it. My steak was good, nothing crazy but you really can't go wrong. The mashed potatoes were a little bland but still edible. My mom loved her meal and finished everything, while my sister and I both had leftovers. The only downside was the service. Our waitress wasn't very friendly, kind of impatient and a little passive aggressive, like we were bothering her just by being there. Given the lack of diversity in the area, it didn't completely surprise me, but it was still noticeable. We didn't let it ruin the night though. Overall we still enjoyed it and I'd go back if I'm ever in Batavia again. Reasonable prices, solid food. Taking everything into account, I'd give it a 6.9/10.

Oh how the mighty have fallen! I remember when this restaurant was opened by "Alex" and it was…read morefantastic. I knew Alex by mutual acquaintance and growing up in the same small town. He was a professional restaurateur who was paid to sit with celebrities at the posh places he worked in South Florida in the 70s. Whatever else is said, the man had high standards in food and dining experience. When he opened, and for years after the place was always packed and very popular. The food was high quality and your meal came with 2 sides, salad, hot bread and nice presentation at a reasonable price. Alex left the business several years ago and the current owner has run it for some time. Today was my first time back in several years. The outside looks dated and needs a refresh. I almost thought it was closed. It was 2:30pm on Saturday before Mother's Day and almost empty. I don't recall it ever not being full of people waiting at the bar for a table. Until today. The decor is ok although I don't care for the fringe lamps directly over your head. I was going to get ribs but decided on 10 oz prime rib ($32.00) comes with 1 side (I chose baked potato - only sour cream and butter is offered). No salad unless you pay extra! The warm bread was fine with two kinds of butter. My companion had the Kids spaghetti $(8.99). My prime rib came out and it looked about half the normal thickness it should be and in a puddle of juice. Even the server commented about why the kitchen did that. And it was warm, at best. No horseradish or other condiments were offered. No garnish on the plate. Just a thin slab of meat. The juice should have been in a separate cup. But the small baked potato was steaming hot! My companion had a giant pile of spaghetti with about a 1/4 cup of sauce on top! Too little for the mound of spaghetti. And it looked like cheap jar sauce and no meatballs. She didn't mind but I wasn't thrilled. And her fountain drink did not come with the meal ($3.99)! I had a lavender lemon drop martini that was ok. ($10). Ultimately the food is mediocre and it feels like they are cutting corners to keep prices down. But that means it's no longer the special place it used to be. Sad.

We actually had made a reservation for 630pm, but they let us move it up to 530pm without a problem. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, with a rustic feel to it. I will say, the service was pretty slow throughout the night, but when we did the servers were attentive. For starters, we ordered the prime rib potato skins and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks seemed like your run of the mill mozzarella sticks, not bad but not great. The flavor of the prime rib potato skins was pretty good! The only downfall was that they were like warm, and I wish they were hot. The horseradish sauce that came with the potato skins was absolutely delicious. For the next course, I ordered a cup of the cream of broccoli soup, my wife ordered the Caesar salad, my mom ordered the wedge salad, and my dad ordered the lobster bisque. My cream of broccoli soup was very delicious, I just added a dash of pepper for a little hint of spice. The Caesar salad is made table side, which is a nice touch. The salad had a good flavor and the homemade croutons were very good. My mom's salad was absolutely ginormous, like literally a whole half of a head of lettuce. My dad said he really enjoyed his soup, and it wasn't too fishy tasting as some lobster bisque can be. For dinner I ordered the meatball Parmesan special which was pretty good. The meatballs and red sauce were seasoned very well. The only downfall was that my pasta was cooked a little too long, so it was mushy. My wife ordered the chicken Parmesan, and had the same problem with her pasta. She also said that the breading of the chicken parm was mushy, and had an eggy flavor. My mom ordered the filet mignon, which was cooked well and seasoned well. My dad ordered the chicken oscar, and had a little mishap where the server thought he ordered the chicken osier. The staff was good though and had the correct dish cooked and packaged to go for him, and took the meal off the check. Overall our dinner was good here, it was mainly the slow service and some of the details such as the pasta being mushy that bought me to a 3 star rating.
