Savannah was our waitress and she was a 11/10. She's friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and eager to do a great job. She offered suggestions on the menu and then how to "level them up." We had a wide range of food: Rueben, omelettes, pancakes, bacon, sausage and eggs. The hash browns are so good. From start to finish was EXCELLENT. We were be back for sure. read more

My daughter and I went it is so good. She had banana pancakes and Home fries and I had eggs Benedict and Home fries. It was delicious. The staff is super nice super grateful super thankful and it's very clean well lighted and it's not too crowded or chaotic in there it's wonderful. read more

Great local breakfast place. Clean, attentive service, and tastefully decorated! . I do not recommend the steak and eggs. My husband likes most things and he didn't like his steak as it was overdones and looked and tasted boiled. He's not a complainer so he finished it anyway. The eggs benedicit with the hash were delicious! The english muffin was toasted perfectperfectly, eggs cooked well and runny and the hollandaise was delicious although it could've been creamier. Love stopping in here whenever in Batavia. This visit went twice!! Breakfasts are always awesome and a great variety of options. I dropped in on a Friday for a fish fry and this one was huge! Hanging off both ends of the plate. The accompanying coleslaw was delicious with a hint of pineapple. Servers are wonderful and extremely friendly. This is the quintessential home town dinner. We are trying out Batavia diners so we began with Town and Country after our friend claimed it was the best. Upon arrival, it was nicely decorated for fall by what you would think a Batavia diner would be decorated like. It felt clean and servers were attentive. The crowd was retired, mostly, men in baseball hats drinking coffee. We ordered from the specials menu upon recommendation of the server. Corn chowder was delicious but needed a little salt. Everything was good but tasted low sodium--not a bad thing! Only regret is not trying dessert. Prices were fair. Dinner rolls free. read more

Met up with family here and had a nice lunch! The food came out very quickly, and our waitress was very attentive. It was everything I could want for a diner, and I was very happy with my crispy chicken salad. Generous portion sizes too. We had a three year old with us, and the waitress was so good with her. Just like the owners of a couple other casual family restaurants in Batavia which feature homestyle cooking, the owner of this family-friendly restaurant also immigrated from the Mediterranean nation of Greece. Sure, they have Spanakopita, Souvlaki, and Greek Salad on the menu ... but Town & Country Family Restaurant is basically an All-American diner with a vast variety of traditional favorites. My mom and I came here for dinner on the night before Thanksgiving. We were greeted immediately upon entering. Service was friendly and efficient. As my mother and I took our time looking over their extensive menu, our waitress patiently gave us more time and checked back frequently. We decided upon a couple of their dinner entrées. Entrées include two sides. Mom ordered Virginia Ham Steak $11.65 (2 sides: Garden Vegetable soup and macaroni salad.) I ordered liver and onions $11.95 (2 sides: salad and Beef Rosa soup - a hearty soup with beef, vegetables, and Rosa Marina pasta, similar to orzo.) We were also brought a basket of fresh warm rolls & butter. My liver, slathered with sautéed onions, was tender and tasty. Mom's ham, adorned with pineapple, was thick and juicy. Generous portions! As a matter of fact, we were so full that we did not have room for dessert. Shucks! (They had a tempting array of pies and cakes on display by front entrance.) My mom noticed that our waitress had DEDUCTED 10% on the total bill (senior citizen discount). Didn't even have to ask for it. Nice! As I was snapping a couple photos of their menu, our waitress approached me and asked if I would like to have a menu to take home. She promptly brought me a take-home copy. She also wished us a happy Thanksgiving. Great service. We had a pleasant experience, overall, and we will definitely return, perhaps for breakfast next time. And... Free Wi-Fi for one hour. This was a to-go order. I placed it to pick up on my way home. At pick up the cost was twice what was advertised, On the menu it was $9.95 and at pick it was $19.50! When I arrived home they had added onions when I specifically ordered it with no onions, due to an allergy. Unfortunately, I was only able to eat half of my meal and through out the other half. I live 40 minutes from this restaurant so called to let them know the error. The woman actually giggled and said, " it wasn't me, I wasn't here, but thanks for letting us know". This could be a huge mistake for someone who is highly allergic! I'm glad no one was hurt. I will not go back. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I understand mistakes happen but the customer service was terrible as well. Not even an apology. Instead I was laughed at for supporting small business and giving them my money. I never expect much out of diners but this was really disappointing. My soup was room temperature at best, and the English muffin I ordered with it was served long after I was done with my soup. My moms scrambled eggs were still runny, and there was a hair in her home fries. The coffee was never refilled and wasn't even hot enough to begin with. I would never return. read more

Went their in feb i rated it a 5 star boy did i make a mistake.should be a 1 star.Went out to breakfast with my wife and another couple.We allordered breakfast.Three ordered coffee one ice water. One hour later we got our food.It took so long that the ice melted in the water.My friend's wife asked me to try her home fries didn't taste right tasted like they were freezer burnt stale taste.Don't know why this place is always packed some people must like eating garbage. My wife, son and I used to be regulars here, as their service and food was generally decent. On our past several visits, we've noticed that they've really gone downhill. Specifically, the servers there (with the exception of one) generally seem lost when the crowd is really not that heavy. Other times they are amazingly understaffed in the front of the house, which of course slows down service. What bothers me the most is that on every one of our last 4 visits, the waitress left our table to get food that was just put up WHILE SHE WAS STILL TAKING OUR ORDER! After commenting on how rude that was, I was informed that the owners are making them do this in order to prevent customers from getting cold food. I understand the need to get orders out quickly, but as restaurant owners, it is your responsibility to draw that line and ensure that you have sufficient help in both the front and back of the house. Finally, if you own a restaurant, you need to have the desire to make it something special, and using pre-packaged frozen food is not the way to do that. Make it your own, and you'll get the customers. Otherwise, you're going to have problems. read more

This is your typical diner. Most of the food is good. I enjoy the soups. A lot of things are lacking in quality. We always bring our own maple syrup when my parents request we join them. Theirs tastes like water. Some corners shouldn't be cut. read more

First I will say this. The staff was very nice. We had a reservation for a large group. They accidentally gave our table to another group they thought was us. This was taken care of immediately. They were quick to set us up and even added extra chairs when we needed. The staff was attentive and helpful. The food was not so great. But hey when you deal with such a large group stuff happens. Just need to fix their wedding soup and fried fish. read more

I rated 3 but really a 2 at best. Service was decent but food, although hot, was pretty blah and definitely over priced. Fish sandwich and fries, coleslaw and orange juice over $15 bucks. I wouldn't mind if it was exceptional, to match the price, but it certainly was not. Definitely won't be back and I'm pretty sure you can find a better place in Batavia to eat. read more
