My wife had visited with friends and said we had to come and try it for ourselves. It was great!…read more We had the Truffle fries for an app and they're awesome! Thick fresh cut fries with amazing homemade ranch dressing. I had the burger and it's the best burger in Madison County hands down. The brioche bun is buttery soft but the meat itself was flavorful and fresh and that's what makes this the best burger in the county! My wife had the airline chicken breast with succotash and mashed sweet potatoes. This was very good but the kitchen was heavy handed with the gastric and that downtown the dish off a bit. The mash and succotash and chicken were all great and flavorful. Next time I'd ask for a gastric drizzle! Service was fantastic and Honeysuckle has made it onto our restaurant rotation list. Well done Honeysuckle crew!!!

This is such a heartbreaker. We frequented this restaurant so often when they first opened and it…read morewas a rising star. Sadly, our last 3 visits have gone from bad to worse. We will never waste our money here again. Service was awful, appetizer burned, both duck and steak were overcooked. My meal was supposed to come with asparagus that was no where to found. When I inquired about the side, I was told that the asparagus was ground up in the half dollar size polenta cake. SERIOUSLY?? Duck portion was less than 4 ounces (mostly fat). . $45 for a tiny filet. These folks are trying to play at being a real restaurant when all they're really doing is robbing people blind with sub par food and service. One person covering 5 (yes, 5 WHOLE tables). Even on an incredibly slow night service was awful. I don't know about anybody else out there, but I don't have $200 to throw away on BS restaurants. Especially disappointing on your anniversary. Let we not forget the wines, no brands listed, that tasted like watered down crap. The only reason their Facebook says 100% recommended is because they delete any reviews that say otherwise, Trust me and skip this one. Go to Carsons, Corto Limo or Guiseppes for amazing food and service. Guess I should have ordered the hamburger. Live and learn.

Friday night dinner!…read more We went to Ata Restaurant owned by Chef David Danielson. We started with a couple cocktails . The highlight of the evening was the Crispy Baby Back Ribs. They are slow smoked for 8 hrs, then flash fried just prior to serving and drizzled with a Spicy White Sauce. These might be the best ribs in the city! We shared a bowl of the Potato and leek soup. Another round of cocktails and we enjoyed entrees. Nick had the Short Rib with mashed potatoes and broccolini. I had the Filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both of our entrees were great. Nick's was definitely our favorite. That Short Rib was amazing. Alan our server suggested a Strawberry Flambe for dessert. He is the only server who does this amazing dessert and it is a table side presentation. It was delicious. The smell of the melted butter and brown sugar, the Flambe of the bourbon and the dash of toasted cinnamon. It was served perfectly with some vanilla ice cream. #sextonpartyof2 #fridaynightdinner #datenight #ata_louisville_ #crispyfriedribs #shortrib #flambedessert

Transitioning from the beloved Anoosh Bistro, äta is a newly reimagined Swedish + New American concept under Chef David Danielson, pulling inspiration from his childhood Nordic roots. Thrilled to see these treasures shared on the menu. Robust wine list with a select cocktail menu and beer list available. I was in for a cocktail during this trip and enjoyed the 'Swedish 76' with lingonberry. Wines seem to be the way to go for a fully coursed meal. You have the option with this menu to share a series of small plates or traditionally course your meal with appetizers through entrees and dessert. I wanted a sampling of the menu so my party of two opted for small plates - the bleu cheese and fig jam toasts, roasted beet salad, and mussels were on the menu for us. You are also served with table bread with a Parmesan sauce that was phenomenal. I might order a different small plate besides the toast next go-round. Our server was exceptional and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. The hospitality from front of house to the end of our meal was exceptional. äta is certainly an upscale experience, and feels more classic and sophisticated than trendy. Think special occasions, foodie adventures, parent visits, and date night with someone you want to impress.
