Pay close attention to your contract. The people working for this company are highly dishonest. A two hour billable casing of a window was billed 8 hours and then they did it again on the second window. I wondered at the time what was taking so long, but after looking at the contract I realized they were milking the hours. Ended up paying over double the bid. I am sad to give them 3 stars. Here are the reasons: * poor communication with the roofing crew, window crew and most of all with me, the customer. I had to be available for them to do the project 3 times not 2 times because the roofing crew did not do what they were supposed to do the first time so that the solar tube installer could do his job. This resulted in the roofing crew and solar tube installer to come back a second time. *They installed 6 windows and a sliding door. 5 windows and sliding were the same and delivered on the same truck. The 6th window, although from the same company, was a different brand, different still, and missing a part. It was also filthy and had been in their, Jensen's warehouse. *The hand rail was remove to put the frontroom window in and when put back it run up against the new window frame in such away that it would injure you hand. *The back porch light was removed to put the slider in and frame up. With the new frame the light could not be put back. The of the crew say oh yah what do you want me to do with this as he handed me the light. I had no idea nor did he give me option. *No one from Jensen's informed that the one window was different than all the rest nor did the ask if that was OK. *As of this time, a month plus later the part for the window still has not come in. *The slide was difficult to open and close as was the screen door. I had to make the adjustments to get the to work. *When I asked about the different style, brand window I was told the same company makes bout brands. *I did not see the handle issue or the significant different in the window until later when painting the frame. I ended up, after receiving their bill, sending them an invoice for my time for 3rd day visit, the hand rail, the porch light, the non matching window with a missing part. Jensen's was willing to send out another crew to fix the rail and light but only after Greg could come see for himself. Due to me not being about take time off work and work 7 to 5 the only times I had available was weekends and I gave him dates and times I was available. *Thought all of this and many emails Greg kept standing I should have committed these issues to him and though imply it was my fault. Porch lights, hand rail and locking windows are safety issues that the window crew should have report to Jensen's and they should have been calling me to schedule a fixed ASAP. *Aditionally, there was a language difference with the roofing crew ..their project manager, who there was not a language barrier with, did not seek me out to make such everything was going well or to review what was to be done. I only by chance was able to talk with him and that was in regards to the confusion as to when the solar tube installer was to come. I assumed they new what they were to do and would do it....I am not a roofer. If you deside to go with Jensen's request thw following: * A copy of your contact and a detail list of everything that is to be done. * When windows arrive make sure they are all there and if any are missing and you are told they are at the warehouse do not let them start installing them until ALL windows are there and you are sure they are the sam brand and style. * Ask for a safety inspection and a job review/verification before the crew leaves the job site. * If you and the estatmater talk about anything that you want done, have concerns about or he says the crews will do make sure it is on the contract. *Request an itemized bill. Out of all the bids I got I was more impressed with Jensen's. Now that I am that the roof and windows are done and all of the extra stuff that happened I am not impressed especially when they ...Greg....kept stating I should have told them about these issues and blowing off the different window that is missing a part that supposedly was order5 plus weeks ago. *AVOID THEM, POOR RESPONSE TIMES AND BROKEN WINDOWS* We signed a contract with Jensen back in March. We were told our window wouldn't be completed until June due to the back ups and shortages, which is fine. Come July, we still hadn't heard about our window. We called and it turns out that the window had showed up in the middle of June and that the scheduler hadn't reached out yet to schedule a time. They said the scheduler would call us back. Another week went by, the scheduler still had not called us. After another week, we called again and finally got a couple dates for the window to be installed. A week before they were supposed to come out, they asked to reschedule since the original work crew was no longer available. That was close to the middle of July. Then we ask to schedule the installation again, we couldn't get ahold of the scheduler. When they finally called us, it was to inform us that our window had broken in their warehouse. It is now 8/9. I have no new window installed. I have no install date scheduled. I have no update on whether my "new" window has been fixed. No one at the office is calling me back. No one has offered to fix the problem. The only positive thing I can say about Jensen at this time is that their person that gives quotes is on time and good at what he does. At this point, I wouldn't recommend them to any one. They have poor communication, are negligent with their products and have no regard for their customers. Avoid them, go somewhere else. read more

Efficiency and professionalism were present at all times during our siding job and the dates given to us to start and complete our home were spot-on. We hired them to revitalize an older duplex and they really brought it back to life! They upgraded some posts into nice columns, updated trim, replaced the exterior doors and painted everything just like we wanted. They were very responsive and helpful, answering my questions, explaining the process and accommodating some last-minute add-ons. They got us on the schedule right away. It was everything we were looking for and we couldn't have been happier with the result! We had gotten estimates from two other companies and even though this was higher by a little bit, the people at the other two companies were slow to respond or didn't show up at all when they were supposed to. New roof: As good as it gets is right! From beginning to end Jensen did an exemplary job. They quoted clearly and explained our options. They were not the cheapest quote we were given but everything they did was worth the tiny bit extra. The crew who did the roof itself were brilliant and took the old roof off in about 4 hours and then the material was delivered on a truck with a conveyor belt straight onto the roof. The roof itself went on in about 7 hours. There was little mess as they did the job and when they left an hour ago every piece of trash was picked up. Carrie Anne kept me informed every step of the way and when the weather got tricky, she arranged the work crew so that it was workable for me. Took 7 months to complete a 1 week job. Never showed up when scheduled. Ordered wrong color material for the job. Faulty workmanship. Inferior low quality material. Installed the wrong skylights. Never cleaned up and left a mess. Would not honor warranty - would not return to fix the roof leak. Installed the wrong color fireplace rubber. The representative flat out lied to me to get the job and then continued to lie throughout the 7 months that I waited for the job to complete. Promised to build me a shed for all of my problems and long wait time but never showed up to do it. I would stay away from Jensen Exterior and Glen Hayden at all costs!!! Very dissatisfied. Really did a number on my 1895 historic house here in Carlton. Ruined several sofit areas; destroyed a section of crown molding.Shot staples THROUGH the crown moldings with 1/2 of the staple exposed.I spent close to $400 to have repairs and now newly installed gutters are affected too as they so screwed the molding and substructure up that the gutters are bowed. Would not recommend you let this company work on your beloved home. I am a reasonable home owner and pleaded my case to have them re mediate and it was like I was a criminal. Sent them the repair bill too as I assumed a modicum of decency to repay me but never heard from them. Stay away if you care and find someone else who actually has a foreman on the site to inspect. read more

I am a little bummed to have to give them only three stars because I was so happy at first. They were kind, informative and had competitive pricing with quality materials and had great reviews. I am also very please with how the roof looks and they worked very fast and long days. They did start a bit early even. (6:30am over spring break, yikes) I bet my neighbors did not appreciate that nor did my kids or I but that was the even my biggest complaint. The reason I am giving them three stars is due to clean up and follow up. I contacted them to let them know that our yard was left a mess and they said they would come out and clean it up and pick up all the things they left behind. Two men did come out with magnets to collect nails but unfortunately did not do a very good job. My daughter stepped on an old roofing nail that was left in the grass, I tripped while holding my baby on a large nail that was left sticking out of my deck, we are still finding lots of nails (on our driveway, a lot in our garden beds,all around the house), plastic from the roofing materials, old shingle pieces and other debris. They had also broken off our electrical cover for our outdoor electricity and took off extension gutters that did not get put back. I contacted them about all of this stuff except the gutters. They have been promising to get a new electrical cover and install it but have yet to follow through (my roof was put on during spring break, its now May). I gave them plenty of time to make these things right and called and emailed multiple times. They did apologize for the nails and mess still being there even after coming out to "clean" but never once offered to come out again and finish cleaning. I feel like they got my money and then moved on and didn't finish the job as they promised in the beginning. read more

Jensen Exteriors, previously known as A and E Roofing totally screwed up our roof. Had leak after 8 years, they repaired leak then said the roofing material had a recall on it, manufacture said our roof had not been registered so there was nothing they could do about it anyway. Had estimates done to replace roof and was told the roofing was nailed in the seam, which is not the correct way to nail roofing and that was what caused the leak, only a matter of time before we had more leaks. And they nailed through our exposed eaves, to which the owner of Jensen Exteriors said they had to nail through to meet code, which is true but not on exposed eaves. Roofing material didn't stick like it should which was probably the fault of the material, but again the roof was not registered, which the roofing company is supposed to do, so the roofing manufacturer would not even look at it. I think you should think twice before you hire Jensen Exteriors to do your work, WE GOT SCREWED!!!!. B and D Roofing LLC replaced our roofing and did a fantastic job, done in one day. Roof even looks flat, not washboard like it use to, probably because they nailed down the plywood after they stripped old roofing like should have been done. As for Greg Jensens comment, he was part owner of A and E Roofing when they roofed our home. read more
