I've always been able to find a great selection, whether wines, sake or rum. The employees I've dealt with have been pleasant with recommendations and gift wrapping. My most recent buy was a couple of bottles of Santa Rosa Moscato for a friend's get-together. The cashier made a pretty good recommendation and even giftwrapped the bottles. I would certainly recommend this shop!

For drinks they had a limited time menu and I had one called "The Miami Monk" and it was this creamy coconut cocktail with rum and it was only $10 and for the price it was so worth it. Service was great our server was very friendly and he was really attentive and was asking us our feedback on the food and drinks, and it's things like that, that make the experience all that much better! Ambiance was nice it was a tiny little hole in the wall playing some good music, but it was empty when we went, which personally for me I really enjoy opposed to it being super packed lol, I would recommend this place all day every day!

Some lady made a snide comment about something I had on and he made a very nice comment which started the moment off amazing. Then the front door man two tea room was super friendly. There was a little bit of a wait, but he wasn't rude about it . Once and we ordered a drink at the bar from the Bartender as soon as the Bartender notice us there he grabbed a drink order made our drinks quickly. It really was a seamless inviting experience and the music was amazing. Can't wait to get a chance to come back !

The biggest thing for me was the overall energy and engagement from the staff. I'm naturally a pretty social and engaged person, especially when I'm sitting at a bar, and I made an effort to interact with the bartenders. I just didn't really feel that same engagement coming back. Nobody was necessarily rude or disrespectful--it just felt disconnected, and the energy was a little strange to me. I also didn't realize until I tried to pay that the bar doesn't accept cash. Maybe that was posted somewhere and I missed it, and once they told me, it wasn't a big deal. But little things like that, combined with the overall interaction, affected the experience. Another thing I didn't realize until receiving my check was that gratuity was already included. I wasn't verbally told about it, and I personally didn't see it disclosed anywhere beforehand. From my understanding, an automatic gratuity or service charge is required to be disclosed to the guest before the purchase, not something they should only discover when they receive the check. Maybe there was a notice somewhere that I missed, so I'm not saying there wasn't one, but I definitely wasn't aware of it. I think that's an important thing for guests to know upfront, especially because someone could easily add another tip without realizing gratuity was already included. Ironically, the one person I genuinely connected with and had a good conversation with was another guest at the bar, not a member of the staff. That interaction actually helped make my time there more enjoyable. For me, hospitality is about more than serving a drink. Especially when someone is clearly open, friendly, and trying to engage, that's an easy opportunity to create a connection and turn a first-time guest into someone who wants to come back. I felt like I gave plenty of opportunities for that interaction, but it just never really happened. I still had a good time because I can have a good time pretty much anywhere, and nothing happened that would make me say Lost Boys is a bad bar. It just didn't feel like the staff cared much about enhancing the experience beyond serving the drinks. So four stars because I respect what the place is and can see why it works as a neighborhood bar. It just didn't give me a reason to come back, and personally, I don't think I would.

The place wasn't busy, but two servers and the bartender were shooting the breeze at the end of the bar with nobody taking orders or making drinks. When my drink finally arrived, it seemed that the bartender had not expressed the oil from the lemon peel on top of the martini. However, the server was friendly when she finally showed up. And, after the initial long delay she was proactive asking if I wanted another drink. Also, the other server checked on me several times.

What a difference a little gesture can make…read more I came to this store around 3 years ago and bought a bottle of fine wine. Since then I kept buying at Total Wine and at a few other secret sources I have... until last weekend. I got a text wishing me a Happy Birthday at around 9 am (screenshot attached) and that was totally unexpected! I had plans to go to Total Wine that same day to buy a bottle of Penfolds Grange, this wine normally runs from $400-$1000 and I had a coupon that TW sends every year on my Bday month of $5 off a purchase of $50. This is a disgrace, that's only 10% off when TW had active offers of $15 off $100, and 20% off on 6+ bottles. So after I wasted my time in 2 TW locations without getting what I wanted at the right price, I texted Juan back and passed by Pantry Liquor II. I have to tell you, he cut down his profits but made a $800+ sale that day and got my Bday weekend started. If you are into good wines look no further .... this place is for you, they also have competitive prices all across the store! Nicely done Juan, I'll be back soon...

They sell bottles of wine, imported olive oils, lots of (mostly European) wines by the glass, and light bites like charcuterie, small pizzas and popcorn. We've come here a few times, our dog was welcome, staff were friendly and outgoing, offering us various tabletop games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time, and once we'd both ordered a few glasses of wine, they offered us complimentary popcorn - something they normally charge for. Wines on their "by the glass" menu average about $16 each, and most staff pour them behind the bar where they have a gauge to measure out each one. The food prep area behind the bar is quite small (which is why they don't have a large menu), but so is this little gem of a wine spot in general. It's cozy, eclectic and great for a glass of wine and a small snack, or a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere. It's good for singles at the bar, or an intimate spot for couples and smaller groups. Vinoteca seems to have found their niche, and they've filled it quite nicely. That said, I'm not sure the staff, at least the ones working on the nights we've come, have a lot of knowledge about wines or are in the position to talk at length about their various selections.
