Highly recommend Jeny Sod! We were replacing all the sod at two houses side by side. Jorge was incredibly easy to work with. Very good communication. Constantly updating me. We had some horrible rain for days on end that had set back my job starting but the entire time Jorge stayed in contact with me with updates. His crew was incredible. When I say they worked hard it's way harder than you think. Sun up to Sun down. Very detail oriented. Everything was done with care to ensure the job was done in the best way possible. The quality of the sod was top notch! Very green and healthy. Nothing looked dried out. They took time to level and place everything just so. When they finished it looked like my lawn had been there for years immediately. I'm writing this after 30 days. That way I can really tell you how the lawn is doing instead of that initial first reaction. I've mowed it two times so far and everything is looking AMAZING! The roots have really taken well and I couldn't be happier. In the end they had a bit of sod left over and they actually took some money off the price they quoted me. Well, we were looking for dirt, found a pile, the owner told us he would give it to us, free, but that we could get better quality at Jeny Sod, and gave us directions. It has ample space, lots of kinds of plants, gardening supplies, fountains and, of course, dirt. The attendants are nice enough and get you what you need. Now, for a nursery, they are surprisingly devoid of any kind of shade-giving trees near the parking spots. Other than that, I think they're alright. Can't comment on the quality of the dirt yet, though. read more

Delivery man placed two pallets on top of my association's grass. When I asked him to move the pallets the driver refused due to a light sprinkle that began a few moments earlier. He wanted to wait out the rain. The rain did not let up and the driver called the main office to let us k ow that they could not move the pallets, killing the grass below. read more

Young lady in the front has a bad attitude. No patience whatsoever and is definitely not a good salesperson. I went to buy sod and she was irritated cause I asked a couple of questions about the 2 types that she offered. She refused to start helping me until my husband, that was waiting in the truck, didn't move the truck. Gave me the incorrect change and did not explain that there will be a charge for the pallets. We ordered St. Augustine grass and it was delivered almost 90% dead - the top layer in the pallet looked awful and I made a comment to the delivery man - who assured me it was only the top layer that looked terrible because it was burnt from being at the top but that everything below was in good condition. He lied - it was almost all dead and when I called to ask for a refund they refused to work with me on even a partial refund even though they agree it looks dead. The manager Armando was rude and dismissive - I do not recommend buying sod from them. read more

DO NOT BUY SOD FROM THIS BUSINESS! I purchased a pallet of Bermuda sod last month. It was delivered and looked brown however their delivery man indicated that it would come back once it was watered. My landscaper installed the grass the same day it was delivered. I have a functioning irrigation system and the new sod was watered regularly. The grass never came back to life. I called the company and spoke to Armando, a manager, who said I should've called when it was delivered and complained. I unfortunately trusted their delivery man. Armando stated several times after several phone calls to him that he would come out and look at the grass and recommend someone at my cost to spray it. It is way past that time where it will come back after whatever would be sprayed on it. I asked to speak to the owner and he told me that Isabel would call me. That never happened. I then called and left a message for Isabel however to date she has not even given me the courtesy of a return call. My neighbor recently received a quote from this company but after my poor treatment is using another company. JENY SOD DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. read more

One of them died I called them they came out to my house and told me it was installed wrong both installed and watered the same Then she told me maybe one was delivered in the rain and it was bad. Made the drive out to Jeny Sod & Nursery today, in search of some sod squares to rehabilitate a section of my yard where we'd removed a tree earlier this summer. For some reason all the large chain hardware stores have been out of sod for weeks, so I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and this nursery had palates on palates of great looking St. Augustine sod at an exceptional price. I had a plan to redo my Garden in the front of my house. I didn't know which ones would be good under the son. Someone recommend that I visit Jeny Sod & Nursery; So I did. As soon as I approach the cashier desk, The cachier calls the owner via walkie talkie. She arrives quickly and gave me a pleasant greeting. Immediately she asked me what I was looking for, yet took her time to listen and helped me with her suggestion on what type of plants would work with full sun exposure. She sends me to the shrub section so I could decide which one I would like the best. The owner called the worker in charge of the shrub section. After he arives, I asked him about the ones that didn't need much watering and the ones that did yet beautiful. After choosing which ones I wanted, he picked them up, placed them on a cart, and placed them in the back of my truck. I didn't have to lift a finger. All the service employees work hard and thankful to serve you. Finally, I made the payment, tipped the worker his good work, and I left happy and satisfied. I just described The type of service I receive every time I visit Jeny Sod & Nursery. No wonder... this place is family owned and operated by a virtuous family who offer their natural resources at an honest price, even over other nurseries. The owner herself doesn't stay seated behind her desk, she's out & about managing the property. Just like other good family operated do. I have a house on islamorada and I lost most of my landscaping during Irma. I couldn't find a reasonable landscaper so I ordered $2000 of schrubs from Jenny. The prices were very fair and the delivery incredibly professional. The scrubs were delivered on five pallets wrapped perfectly so the plants were in perfect condition. They carefully included two bird baths in burlap bags. I saved $15000 by digging the holes myself. read more
