They have a huge space you can get lost in a nice conversation w people and won't feel others will eavesdrop. You can sit and drink coffee and buy coffee beans dipped in chocolate while you read a good book. The people and community are friendly and the Main Street it's on is cute and has the nice small town feel. They have a free bathroom here and next door is a church. And outside they have a pantry area where you can leave things for people who might need something extra. What a nice thing to do when somebody is in need.

If you're a matcha enthusiast like me get the iced matcha latte with elderflower syrup! Apparently the syrup is not permanently in the menu but it's definitely a temporary great addition. The staff told me they usually add honey but I prefer my matcha to be more bold and less sweet. The elderflower is a nice touch and it's a fun flavor. I also tried the thumbprint raspberry cookies and it was pretty standard as far as taste. Not too sweet and a fruity filling. The inside of the cafe was pretty large so this could be a nice study spot as there's also outdoor seating and it wasn't loud.

Try the sous vide egg bite. I enjoyed both options, but if going with just one choose the Broccoli-Parmesan. Enjoy #BradyEats

Solid coffee creations and Nitro option. Pastry options and small bites are much better than The big nationals. While small portioned, I did enjoy the the rich & tasty Broccoli-Parmesan egg bite. Fun modern decor, clean bathrooms, outdoor seating, and drive-thru service hit the mark. A nice addition would be background coffee-house music playing inside and out. Great option for locals and visitors. Food & Pairings #BradyEats

Great place to stop for coffee and fresh pastry. We stumbled on this place during a long road trip. We always look for locally owned businesses, but unfortunately there are often few great choices. This was definitely an exception. They have a full selection of coffee drinks and the barista was very friendly. If you are looking for a coffee spot off the I80 this is definitely worth the 5 minute detour.

The space is very airy. Great workspace-- plenty of tables + windows. Outdoor, shaded seating available. FRESH brewed coffee.

This little gem in Ottawa, IL is your home for fresh roasted beans and espresso drinks! Lots of seating in a modern atmosphere make it a great place to meet up with friends or do some work. Coffee snobs definitely need to know that they can find happiness at Jeremiah Joe! I've been coming here for years off and on and I always look forward to visiting when I am in town. Cheers!

if you order the matcha they put honey in it without telling you. Either that or they have bad matcha ‍

I love their Jeremiah Joe mocha (whether hot, iced or ice blended). That's my go-to drink.

Coffee is weak, atmosphere is way too woke for me and overall they are way over priced for what you get.

The Knight and The Bible…read more On a drive up to Chicago to catch a vacation flight, we stopped at The Cup and The Scone to get us caffeinated for the rest of the drive. We got there about 30 minutes before close and the barista was super nice as we ordered our drinks. Emily got a caramel latte and I got the.. you guessed it... an iced americano. We also grabbed a blueberry-lemon, cranberry-orange, and birthday cake scone. While we stood there as the barista was making our drinks, we chatted her up a bit and we were able to get a few free stickers from her. She said they don't use them all too much and was happy to give us two each. Once we got our drinks, we took off to the upper part of the coffeehouse and promised we wouldn't be too long since they were closing soon. Before we headed upstairs, I took some photos with the suit of armor that is by the counter. When we got upstairs, I was surprised to see another suit of armor, so I took a photo with that one, too. The Cup and The Scone specializes in a lot of gluten-free products and a small bit of religion. I don't know if their entire menu is gluten-free but as someone who's mom is gluten sensitive (and I will probably be at some point), the care about GI issues is great. As for the religious stuff, if you don't see the occasion bible strewn about the place, you'd honestly never know. But, their website seems to support helping people and I think that also is super great as this world is getting rough and scary. Any who, Emily and I really enjoyed our drinks. The americano hit all the right notes and Emily was delighted with her latte. We were split on the scones. I really liked the birthday cake while she really liked the cranberry-orange while we both thought the blueberry-lemon was just alright. We held true to our promise and dipped out before 2pm and hit the road. If I find myself in Pontiac for some reason in the future, The Cup and The Scone will definitely be my spot to get some americanos.

I was initially drawn to this spot by the big knight in shining armor that I saw on Yelp (I'm a big…read morechess fan) and then pleasantly surprised at how cool this place is. The decor really makes this spot, with lots of fun themed signs throughout the restaurant. This definitely gives it a different and more fun vibe than the average coffee house and the upstairs loft is cozy to hangout in as well. The coffee flavors and preparation are quite good here -- flavorful, and made with high quality ingredients. I also enjoyed the mini scones, with a nice texture that was soft but a little more firm than a muffin. Overall, definitely worth a visit if you're in Pontiac. Great vibe and delicious food.
