After decades of putting it off, we finally decided to remodel our bathroom. We were very new to this process, but the team Jericho put together for us was awesome. Each member we worked with was very approachable, professional and knowledgeable. Our designer Nickolas was very patient with our questions and gave us ideas that we had not thought of. Once our selections were in place, we met with Jim K. our Project Manager who explained and communicated the process with us every step of the way. We were very impressed with his communication and coordinating skills. Our installer Alex was awesome! He is such a hard worker and explained daily what he was working on. He involved us with such items as placement of shelving in the shower and the shower head. We were very impressed with how clean the work area was after every workday. We had Jericho quote a master bath remodel. The salesman spent 2 hours taking measurements and shared the price on the tub and shower hardware which came to less than $5k. We called them because their TV ad claimed "free granite countertops". Total price quoted for new tub, shower, floor tiles, cabinet refinishing, wall paint and "free counters" was $116, 000. We wouldve had to buy our own mirrors, lighting fixtures and towel hardware. I asked what the $90k mark up in price was covering, no answer. No itemized list of costs provided. We made the big mistake of using Jericho to remodel our small bathroom in which they charged us 45,000.00 and on top of that we were also out of pocket for another 2,000+ because they said it would be cheaper to buy our own toilet, shower fixtures, mirrors, towel holders, exhaust fan and other things. They also put their peel and stick walls for our shower on an uneven wall without telling us is wasn't even or asking if we'd like to have it fixed. the only thing that is real is the quartz counter and cabinet. They had to fix their mistake on the back splash and the project manager put it in knowing it was uneven and any other imperfections were just ignored and not brought to our attention, why I have no clue because we would have paid to have it fixed correctly. I should have read these reviews before hiring them, I looked at the positive reviews then checked those profiles which turned out mostly to be fake. It also took them 6 months before they even started on our project and I asked for my 20,000 deposit back and they refused, then I asked for the products they bought with our deposit to be brought to me with their invoice and receipt and Justin one of the project managers said " I'll have to work out the numbers" really? We have been fighting them to finish te job which is just 8 pulls that match the others. we requested they let us pick new ones from the catalog. but they said its not their fault they didn't know the pulls were not made in that size anymore. Did not show up on the start day of the project. Showed up the 2nd day about 3 pm so did not do much work on that day. When got done with the bathroom had to call them back since the shelves were coming off of the wall this was within a few months so looks like the "master craftsman" was not that at all. I know because of this I would never hire them ever again to do any remodeling work. They called and said was going to send me a link to do a review but when I told them this same story they decided not to. Three years ago we had our Kitchen remodeled by Jericho ( not a stellar experience) but in the end I got the kitchen I wanted and not what the designer decided I should want. So last month when we decided it was time to redo the master bath we called to see if maybe this time would be better. Big mistake!! Designer was not willing to work with us on the design. At the end of the year 2014 we hired Jericho to remodel our bathroom...a room that measures 5'x7'. It was completed on 2-10-15. We recently noticed that the medicine cabinet and the toilet topper cabinet were ready to fall off the wall. So we drove over to Jericho and talked to a manager, Andy Davey. He said the workmanship was no longer under warranty but that he would send Anita over to take a look at the problem And they would take care of it if the repair would not amount to a lot of work and it was just a matter of putting in new anchors. When the work was done we paid $11,880 for the workmanship and we bought our own supplies. We were not told at the time of purchase that Jericho only has a warranty of 1 year on the work they do, So when Anita showed up she told us that the charge for the repair would be $200 for the first hour and $90 for each additional hour after that. She said it would take 2 hours. She did the work that was 3 1/2 hours and charged us $290 for removing the cabinets and attaching them back on with stronger anchors...which should have been done during the original installation. My advice to anyone wanting to hire Jericho is DON"T. They only warranty their work for one year and if anything goes wrong after the poor workmanship has been done, they charge for the repairs at a high price. I have had nothing but problems with this company since day one! This process has been so stressful and disappointing and just plain AWFUL! Time delays, being told one thing and not getting it, wrong color choices (and being blamed for that when I said I wanted a BLACK island and the designer chose gray), mismeasurements that prolonged things due to having to rebuild a new cabinet. I am still in the process of this mess! We chose them due to hearing all the ads and how they do not use sub-contractors for their work and that everyone in my home would be a Jericho employee. LIES. I just had a crew of 5 in my home this week that don't work for Jericho AT ALL! And he told me they were sub-contracted to get my job finished! I was told we would have soft closed doors and drawers (designer said that was standard in their work these days!!!)......nope. Apparently that was not put into the HUGE AMOUNT we are paying! I am disgusted by the amount of money I am paying for this refinish and how things have progressed! In the beginning, the designer told us it would be a 2-3 week process. We are now entering week 9!!!!! And still not done! My Project Manager is awesome so I have nothing bad to say about him - but JERICHO is who we are most upset with! We chose Jericho due to the statements on the website - and felt we will get what we pay for! The website promises so many things that we are definitely NOT experiencing! - Quality craftmanship - my Project Manager has had to fix quite a bit of things done poorly by the installer! - Timeliness - why is the designer telling customers the job can be completed in 2-3 weeks? We didn't use Jericho. The bid we received was 76 thousand dollars for a bathroom. Maybe they just didn't want to do the project. We about fainted when we got the bid. We decided to be our own contractor and the project cost 20 thousand dollars. And that is with a 6 thousand dollar bubble tub. I'm not saying they are dishonest just ridiculously expensive. My husband and I are looking to remodel one of our bathrooms and the first place I wanted to call was Jericho. I chose to contact them before any other company based on the advertising they do on TV. They come across as a reputable company who truly wants to provide their customers with quality workmanship while satisfying their customers dream of a beautiful room when it's all said and done. I was excited to get things started and made my first phone call to them. I NEVER expected the phone call to go how it did! Mindy answered my call and at first, she seemed very pleasant. The phone call didn't last long... I was informed they would not consider our project unless both my husband and I were able to meet with them. I explained my husband works for the Government and due to his schedule he would not be able to attend. She informed me that all homeowners need to be present to ensure everyone is on the same page and there aren't any surprises. When I explained to her that my husband is leaving all of the decisions up to me and we could FaceTime him, she still insisted he needed to be present. I told her we recently remodeled our entire kitchen and he wasn't present for the initial meeting she started getting a little.. lets call it "snippy" with me. When I tried asking additional questions she started talking over me and obviously didn't want my business. My impression of their company took a 360 degree turn. I went as far as to tell her I would be posting something on Facebook letting people know how I was treated and with that comment, to no surprise, she actually hung up on me. I WILL NEVER HIRE JERICO AGAIN We were very disappointed in the overall job we received from Jericho. We had our kitchen remodeled completely. Where do I start with the disappointment. The project manager only came to our house maybe 2 times. The project took about 2 months to be completely finished; over that time we had multiple people out to fix different issues that the first person made. They could not understand that for people who are shorter we see different things and I will not accept seeing holes under my cabinets. We also had 5 can lights placed (Dec 2017). We are now getting our bathroom remodeled from another company (https://www.facebook.com/jgoodwinkc/) and they are placing lights and when they went into the attic to do the wiring they found the lights placed in the kitchen were done so poorly that one of the wires that should've been white is now brown from sparking so much. The wires were all exposed and not twisted and secured like they should be. Basically my house could have gone up in flames at any time if they had not caught this for us. Jericho never told us that our electrical box needed to be updated when installing all these lights and appliances. We went to pick out fabrics, were told we had 2 choices of back splash, 2 choices of almost everything. $52k for a kitchen remodel and we had very minimal choices of the products used. We signed papers for a intermediate credit card until we could get the home remodel loan....we didn't understand and were VERY stupid. Due to the shelter in place I said I would meet their contractor, open the door before he arrived, then wait outside while he went in. I contracted Jericho to update my kitchen with new granite counter tops, backsplash, and refinish existing cabinets, along with new sink, etc. There is very little I can say that would encourage you to use this company. They finished 3 weeks later than projected time because of all the errors they created. In their commercials, they state that they only use master craftsmen but clearly their definition of a master does not include properly using a tape measure. They measured doors the wrong size, They measured the drawers wrong by 5 inches. Each errored caused delays as they had to reorder each item from a third party. When they put in the garbage disposal they left in screws so when I turned it on it broke. When they removed the cabinet doors for painting they lost some of the hinges also. Finally but not all when they installed the granite tops it was level at the backsplash but 1/16 of an inch below the connecting slab. They left me a note saying the granite was finished and ready to use. REALLY?? The project manager was nice as he kept apologizing but was useless in being proactive about right measurements, etc. He was shocked about the granite but after a while I asked him to stop apologizing and do it right as he kept blaming others for the mistakes. In the end they are very quick to apologize because they do it so many times and have lots of practice. When I asked for some consideration due to the errors they said absolutely NO. read more

I think like most, we had judged them as a higher end home renovator and the higher cost would be justified with the quality of work and project management. Jericho has a very good front end sales and I will say that we had no idea what we wanted and they did provide us with the contacts to help us make those decisions. We are very happy with our choices but we could have had that experience with an interior decorator. The sales force does over sale the project management. Maybe on a larger scale remodel you have better communication but we did not have good communication at all and had to constantly reach out to find out what was going on with our project. We had to fight for things to be done right and we are really not that picky. We had days when no one showed up and there was no communication. We were told they would not subcontract and that our floors would be done last. The first thing that happened was that they subcontracted our floors and they were done first with all the tracking of the next several weeks destroying the beautiful finish. Borders were crooked, trim was not secured, and we were told we would pick out items as the project went along and all of this was just a fly by the seat of the pants situation. They started late and completed late with a lot of down time; just us and the mess. Our project manager could not keep up with his workload and it was evident that we were what was let go. I think we would have had the same quality of work if we had used Home Depot and saved a lot of money. Our floors were ruined and it took 8 months, 17 phone calls and 4 visits to finally have Jericho address them and they did refinish them. Because of Covid, Jericho's Anita could not come to adjust and finish the several items that had to be finished, restored, corrected or adjusted. When she finally came, she showed herself to be a true expert at remodeling and fixing all things related to remodeling, painting, electrical, plumbing and mechanical. I signed on for an expensive kitchen total renovation in Dec, 2016. Was told it would be done by the end of Feb/early March, 2016. The project was finally BEGUN in May 20,1916. During all time the project was being worked on, every time I looked at the variety of TV Ads I heard one falsehood after another. They did not deliver ANY of the results that the ads promised...... I had 3 different project managers as well as numerous actual workers. Many things had to be done and re-done. It has been a nightmare!!! today Feb 16, 2018. There still are a number of punch list tasks to get done, although I felt bullied to sign off on the project and beginning monthly payments in Dec, 2017. I asked for remuneration/discount on the original quote and was told nothing will be done. This was one of the poorest decisions made by me in hiring them. By the time we sat down and started talking he basically told me I needed to hire someone off CraigsList all because I was transparent enough to tell him I didn't think we were in the market for a $50K kitchen ($25K-30K, maybe but certainly not $50K). We set up an appointment at the home show & when Jericho called to confirm they said both my husband & I needed to be there. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Lack of communication between salesperson, project manager, craftsman and customer. Was told many things by salesman but then the project manager didn't know what the other promised would be taken care of. Told it would take 6-7 days and probably only 6 with a couple of workers....One man showed up and we are now on work day 9 and the second weekend without bathroom use. I wasn't told that garage space was needed for materials, which wasn't too bad but we didn't have much space cleared out and had to figure out what to do with animals since they were going to be put in garage area during remodel. Because of no garage space 3 large cabinet boxes needed to be put in kitchen/dining room but stayed there for a week and during Memorial day weekend. I agreed to leaving boxes but didn't know it would be for that long or have to work around them on a holiday weekend with guests. There's other issues but the last straw is being told that even though I was not replacing the toilet, the ring and shut off valve would be replaced anyways because the toilet would need to be moved to get tub in....the tub was the first thing put in and my toilet on day 9 is crooked, silicone is broken around base, still has old shut off and ring, which is probably no good now because of how much toilet was shifted. I called project manager to see if he was aware of toilet issue because all I had was a note saying that they would be back Monday to install countertop because of problem with not having the right tool and seemed like he was done after that. Project manager said he didn't notice the toilet issue when he was out there to check on remodel, which was 1 time and told me, "It's not the end of the World," and they would get it done. I haven't been a difficult customer and there's been plenty to complain about, such as people not responding to a message for weeks but his response was unprofessional and belittling. Only needed to acknowledge issue and that it would be taken care of. Based on the information given I don't think the toilet would have been done and I was worried how long it would take to get someone back out to take care of it. They haven't lived up to promises, are very expensive and I wouldn't recommend Jericho. Very expensive for very poor quality and reckless work on my South Kansas City home. They claimed their work is superior, they would pull all required permits, installers were masters of all trades, and they would manage the project. NONE OF THIS WAS TRUE. Please read this next part...it will make you think twice about hiring them. We had a wall knocked out for our kitchen remodel and had a beam installed, to hold up our 2nd level. Instead of finding a new route for the air duct going upstairs, they CUT OUT PART OF THE NEW BEAM and sent the air duct through the beam (picture attached). I asked if a permit was obtained, as the project was nearly finished. Our project manager said "no, because we know what we're doing". I asked for an engineer to come inspect it to determine if it is safe. An architect confirmed it wasn't safe and the city wouldn't approve a permit until they tore it out and replaced (His report is attached). They did replace it, but the 2nd beam they put in wasn't structurally safe either, so they had to put a 3rd beam in. They clearly didn't know what they were doing. They also had complete disregard for our safety just so they didn't have to figure out another way to reroute the air duct. I then had to work with a heating and cooling company to figure out how to run the air duct upstairs. Jericho wasn't doing it because they couldn't figure it out and also were busy with other projects at this point. Aside from that, after the project was finished I found out they didn't pull an electrical permit for all the new wiring in our kitchen either. That was a major hoop to jump through to get it approved with the city after the project was complete. These are a few of the many issues we had with their work and integrity along the way. I really became the project manager and had to use a lot of vacation over the final 4-5 months of the project. I really hope those who hire this company watch everything they're doing. Do not trust their word, because clearly they don't have your best interest in mind. This project was supposed to take ~5 weeks. It took nearly 9 months to complete. It truly was a nightmare. I fear they'll try doing to others what they did to us, which is why I'm writing this. We used Jericho for a bathroom remodel quite recently. We heard about them on the radio and thought we would give them a shot. The designer met us in our home and planned a partial remodel according to our budget, which was somewhat modest. I still feel like we got sold on a very expensive product (onyx), that wasn't really necessary. The installation ended up being over a month later than we expected. There was no real explanation for this other than that the materials were taking a while, so the communication was fair at best. When our bathroom remodel began, the process went pretty smoothly, and the installer was very knowledgeable and professional. I am pleased with the product and the result, but it was a little pricey. My tiny, 45 sq ft bathroom cost nearly $8k to do (without new floor or vanity), so in the future we may try to do someone cheaper. read more

We should have started there first. After reading Yelp we could see a pattern developing. We were very disappointed in the overall job we received from Jericho. Started out with a very high pressure salesman "sign right now or price will go up tomorrow" which my wife and I really didn't think was a sign of a top notch company. Jericho was running several commercials at the time, one was get $5,000.00 off your remodel. we didn't qualify for that because we were getting only new counter tops, sink, and back splash not a complete Kitchen. They were also running a 5% off your remodel at the same time. We were told that we received a 7% discount the night we signed the papers even thou the salesman said we received that 7% because we paid cash and because of the fact we signed the contract the first night, that our price wouldn't be available the next day. Then we had problems getting the template person out to measure because the paperwork got put on the wrong desk. The job was done in good time, but we only saw the foreman the day the job started and the day it finished. We had some issues with chips in the granite and some tile work that wasn't real good. They told us the man would be out to repair the Granite and he didn't show, well he was on vacation that week is what we were told. the next week he still didn't show and we were told oh he wasn't on vacation last week he is on vacation this week? He finally did make it the next week, and did a good job repairing the granite. I told him how unhappy we were and we felt we got a Box Store Job for a Jericho price! we didn't have this great feeling we expected because we used a "Top Notch Company, not your typical box store. Well I relayed that unhappiness via the repair guy 4 days ago and have heard nothing from them. I also filled out an online survey about 2 weeks ago that they sent me and I didn't give them very good ratings and Ive heard nothing about it as well. Very disappointed, I will check with one of the local box stores in the future and save myself several thousand dollars. Even worse it was another woman who told me the company will not do business unless the man of the house is home. SEXIST! We've been updating our kitchen as the budget allows and the first item we wanted to tackle was the countertop, knowing that we would be keeping the lower cabinets. The process with Jericho was seamless: I called to find out what/who they were; scheduled an appointment to talk dollars and installation timeframe; went to the granite shop to check out slabs and poof! We were done! It was seriously that easy. I had a pretty specific color/design in mind for the granite, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found it at their shop (the selection was huge). Their installer came and took the countertop measurements and then we set up a date soon after for the granite installation (we had a family function that was within a couple of months and they were able to accommodate our need for getting it done sooner than later). Our home had settled enough over the years that some leveling was required, but their team handled it without issue. Again, pretty pleased! The demo and install as done in one day. Will be calling again for bathrooms in the future. read more
