He was my father's dentist as well as is currently my uncle's, cousin's, family friends, etc., and all of our smiles are proof of his expertise. Due to him, when I went away for school upstate - I had such a trust in dentists. Unfortunately, this resulted in my having unnecessary work done by a zealous dentist that was primarily interested in the $$. Then, I went to another dentist who fixed the prior dentists work, but then left me with a crown that has a gap in it (that he said was normal) that has hurt for two years, and has turned into a lot of scar tissue in my gums. Of course Dr. Boukas was disappointed to see that this had been done, but c'est la vie. Dr. Boukas is, and always has been very thorough in his diagnoses. He explains what has happened, why it has happened, what needs to be done, and the care afterward. My significant other (who refused to go to the other dentist upstate for a cleaning after my experience) several months back ended up with a gum infection due to plaque (yuck). It was his first time seeing Dr. Boukas, and Mr. Picky Pants was thoroughly impressed with him, his diagnosis, treatment plan, and let's just get you right attitude. He was fixed in two visits; One to clean out the infection, and the second, for a more thorough cleaning frankly. So, you can take his unbiased opinion as well. To anyone that is looking for the best dentist, with both current knowledge, and techniques, as well as old school experience, Dr. Boukas is your man. He may be no frills, but is clean, attentive, knowledgeable, and that should be exactly what you are looking for. To boot, he was always great with me as a kid, and my lack of cavities are proof. I didn't have my first cavity until I went upstate for college... So, he is child/kid friendly, and just knows his craft very, very well. I went for Lumineers…read more Zadik looked in my mouth and said he could see decay under 3 large silver fillings and first needed to remove those fillings and redo them with white composite @$1775 per tooth. No professional including my son who's a pediatric dentist had ever told me there was decay under these fillings. Zadik also forgot to mention that replacing the silver fillings required caps for an additional $2500 each. I'm just writing this now because I saw my regular dentist in Florida yesterday who did a complete exam with a full set of x rays. He assured me there is no decay in my mouth. So I wouldn't even refer to Zadik as Dr. This man should be in jail for attempted robbery. This makes my son really angry because this kind of practitioner gives the profession a black eye. I wonder how many of the people who gave this guy high marks had unnecessary expensive painful procedures that were fabricated.

Upon the next time of going to my next dentist, he laughed and mocked the idea of a dentist performing on a wisdom tooth by doing a root canal. He then proceeded to pull all my wisdom teeth which were due for removal, including the one that dr. Sharifi had wasted my money performing the root canal on. Bottom line.. AVOID dr. Although I haven't visited a dentist in years (don't judge me), my nostalgic feelings caused me to look him up so I can go pay him a friendly, non-professional visit as an adult (this isn't the first time I've randomly thought about how nurturing and attentive this man is, which speaks volumes). Now, I never leave reviews for ANY business (although my Yelp account is appropriately aged) but upon reviewing his Yelp profile, I noticed the completely undeserving negative review left by a disgruntled patient (or more likely, a competitor). I'm here to say that, although I was only a child while a regular at his practice, my parents certainly aren't people to put up with any disparaging service (they were regulars too, as he was our family dentist) and that lends to the additional fact that this is an amazing practice for children, as well as adults. His entire staff always helped us feel comfortable and welcomed, beyond the usual "I'm really good at being polite because we need you to want to return." No, my parents always made a point to expose those types of people in assertive ways, and their lack of discouragement with Dr. Naser Sharifi was always a true testament to the special and astonishing character of this man, traits that I already believed him to possess. Take your entire family there once, and your only regret will be that you hadn't visited him sooner. The dentist is awesome I switched to him after having issues with my local dentist he has a funny sense of humor and talks you through every procedure so u know what's going to be done. However, the lady over the phone said that I would need to meet with the dentist first for a consultation and on the second visit the dental cleaning would be performed. Consultation about what? I just need a cleaning I thought. Regardless, I agreed to it. She scheduled me for the same day to meet the doctor and the cleaning the following day. The office is small since it's a private practice and not a clinic. I liked that I didn't have to wait to see the dentist. As you walk in, it feels very warm and has the whole cottage house feels to it. Your typical Midtown doctor's office, at least from my experience. Dr. Ferrette was very nice and definitely has a good energy! He was not like the some of the snobby dentists I've had in Florida and New York. Upon entering his office, he greeted me with a smile and sat me down. He explained what the first consultation would consist of ...... 1) Going over my health history 2) Examine my teeth 3) Take X-rays 4) Make a mold of my teeth! First thing he went over my health questionnaire with me and asked me a lot of questions. It was obvious that he really cared about getting to know his patients. Immediately after examining my teeth, he said I have been grinding my teeth and that it shows on the side of my tongue. He started asking me if I sleep well and get headaches. I was in shocked. He said it was Bruxism and it was probably related to stress/anxiety I've been dealing with. He urged me to go to my internal doctor and discuss with me. He also explained why it's necessary to have a primary doctor. Later on, it was discovered that I have TMJ. If it wasn't for Dr. Ferrette, I would've never know. The second visit consisted of the cleaning and going over my X-rays and everything. He showed me that I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed and explained everything. I won't go into detail about everything we talked about but, this dentist is by far the BEST dentist I've ever had!! Dr. Ferrette will always be my dentist now!
