Every time that I pick him up from school, he talks about what he learns. Yeah they are kinda learning things that could maybe be put off a year, but it's good because it's beneficial for their learning and if they're good at hard stuff now, they'll be a pro at it later. That's what I think the plan is here at Mater Academy Mountain Vista. The teachers are also very understanding and cooperative including coaches. Especially Ms. Shelton (2022) I believe she's the volleyball coach, and I hear she does a lot more than that. She's the music teacher, sports manager, elementary student council president. It's so many things that these teachers do to show they are committed into their job and they're willing to take the time to work with students and help them be the best they can be. Mrs. Carbajah (2022) is a wonderful lady and she makes this school great ! From what I hear she's been here at this school since the beginning and has helped it improve over the years. This shows even more how committed all the staff of Mater Academy is. I also love how they have socials to keep families posted on the daily of what going on. This school is just truly amazing and honestly I wish I went here as a kid.

" It feels like a deliberate strategy to keep you paying and stuck in their system indefinitely. The teachers? Forget about it. They are completely irresponsible and frankly, careless. It's like they're just phoning it in, with no genuine concern for whether students are actually learning or progressing. There's zero personalized attention or even basic guidance. You're just a number, another body filling a seat. I've been going there for what feels like a lifetime, and for some reason, they even mentioned some connection to a campus in Las Vegas? The program leased out campuses on the Eastside (Keller ES, Keller MS and Eldorado HS) the students always excelled and finally in the beginning of 2015 through the Board of Education we finally got a place to call home and Equipo Academy was built. The area of town or your families income should not take away from the quality of education our children receive. At the Equipo Academy the educators not only want your child to have a dipoloma they also want them to all have scholarships and go on to college. The teachers are always available and do an outstanding job of communicating. The students can earn amazing field trips which in the past included trips to colleges in the Washington DC and S. California areas along with learning about the landmarks and history of that region. My son will be part of the first graduating class in 2018. Equipo Academy currently enrolls grades 6-11 and starting next year 2017/18 grades 6-12. At Equipo Academy they prove everyday that "Impossible is Not"

I've come here for meetings, trainings, fingerprinting, applying, licensing, etc. Make sure you check with them to see which processes have to be done through CCSD & which ones have to go through NV DOE. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that more often than not, the room number the front desk secretary gives is wrong. You show up in that room, & they look at you like why are you there. Then they tell you or show you where you should have gone. Sometimes wastes quite a bit if time as you frequently have to first wait in a line to find our you're in the wrong spot
