Instead of supporting students, they talk down to us, ignore concerns, and create an environment where it feels like students are the enemy, not the priority. The school is disorganized and poorly managed. Communication is lacking, discipline is inconsistent, and it's clear the administration has no real control or vision for helping students succeed. Academically, this place is failing us -- resources are outdated, support is minimal, and many students are falling behind with no intervention. It's hard to care about your future in a place that doesn't care about you. The overall atmosphere is chaotic and unwelcoming. Fights happen often, the hallways are loud and unsafe, and instead of addressing deeper issues, the staff just dish out random punishments. It's giving ghetto in the worst way -- not because of the students, but because of how everything is handled. First things first, the food is ass. It's about what you'd expect for school cafeteria food. Some teachers can be STRICT as hell for god knows why. I will admit, as annoying as the strict teachers were I'm glad some are there. my 7th grade science teacher Ms T was so strict and I absolutely dreaded that class because of it. Must've been a good thing though because I passed her class with a high B. The new cellphone policy was more tedious than anything. If people who are gonna be misbehaving want to use their phone, they're gonna use their phone the pouch ain't stopping them. Some of the staff there are a bitch. Excuse my language. The school is dirt poor. They rely on fundraisers and donations. I'm surprised they stopped selling Panda Express and Caines since they're in need of mone. They did it because they wanted to go "healthy". Honestly surprised that was their approach to healthy alternatives when the cafeteria food looks like it was bioengineered in a lab. As much as I had pretty alright time here, I probably wouldn't recommend it. A bit off topic, if the choir teacher ever reads this I want her to know that something she said always pissed me off. She would say "This is a performing arts school, if you didn't want to sing then you shouldn't have come here" or something along those lines. That always got me mad because I didn't sign up for choir. My first choice was theater (which I got it) and I also tried doing art but got put in choir. I want to start by saying this daycare seemed very promising, but after five months with our…read moredaughter, we lost confidence in the care she was receiving. One of the first concerns happened when I picked her up and was told she had a diaper rash. The staff said Aquaphor wasn't working, so they used one of their own sprays instead. My response was, "Why aren't you using the Desitin we provided, clearly labeled with her name and accompanied by a doctor's note instructing you to use it?" They apologized and assured us they would use it going forward. This immediately raised concerns about attention to care, especially since diaper products should never be shared between children due to the risk of spreading illnesses like Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD). On June 18, after a week at home with us, we dropped our daughter off and informed staff she had drool bumps on her chin because she was cutting two teeth at once. Later that day, we received a call saying she had a temperature of 99.4°F and was being sent home for suspected HFMD because she supposedly had bumps around her mouth, in her mouth, and in her diaper area. The "bumps" around her mouth were the same drool rash we had pointed out that morning, and they nearly disappeared after simply wiping her chin dry. She had no bumps in her diaper area and no mouth lesions. The next morning, her pediatrician examined her, laughed at the assessment, said she had absolutely no signs of HFMD, and cleared her to return. We met with the Director and Assistant Director to explain what happened. The Assistant Director admitted she hadn't been told about the drool rash or teething before making the assessment. We also brought up the earlier diaper cream incident and explained how concerning it was that our daughter's prescribed cream wasn't being used while they were quick to send children home over concerns about HFMD. We were assured these issues would be addressed. Then, in July, our daughter actually contracted HFMD. She had the classic symptoms: fever followed by lesions around her mouth, in her mouth, and on her hands and feet. We kept her home through her recovery, and once her pediatrician confirmed she was no longer contagious, we received another signed clearance note allowing her to return. The doctor also prescribed antibiotics for a mild ear infection, and we informed the daycare that the antibiotics could cause loose stools and diaper rash, asking them to apply her diaper cream accordingly. The first day back went well. However, the following morning, just one hour after dropping her off, I received another call telling me she was being sent home for suspected HFMD. They pointed to healed red marks under her chin from the previous infection, a small red mark on her finger that she's had since birth, and claimed her diaper area would "shock" me. When I got home and checked, she simply had a diaper rash from the antibiotic-related loose stools. There were no blisters, lesions, or signs of HFMD. Even more concerning, there was absolutely no evidence that her prescribed Desitin had been applied despite the daycare describing the rash as severe. Anyone who uses Desitin knows it leaves a visible white residue, and there was none. We took her back to the pediatrician, who again confirmed she had no signs of HFMD and again questioned whether the daycare was confusing her with another child. At that point, we decided to withdraw our daughter. As I packed up her belongings, one of the workers ran over laughing and said, "Can't forget this!" while handing me the nearly full tube of diaper cream. After five months, it looked like it had only been used a couple of times, despite multiple conversations, a doctor's note, and repeated reminders. I can't speak to the rest of the school, but our experience in the Angel's classroom left us extremely disappointed. We experienced repeated misdiagnoses that resulted in unnecessary doctor visits and missed work, along with repeated failures to follow a simple doctor's order to use our daughter's assigned diaper cream. For us, those issues reflected a lack of attention to detail and consistency that we simply could not overlook.

Unfortunately, my experience with the administration was very different. Beginning in my freshman year, I experienced repeated sexual harassment both in person and online. I, along with other students, reported these incidents expecting them to be taken seriously. Instead, the administration's response left many of us feeling dismissed and unsafe. What was initially supposed to be an anonymous report quickly turned into a meeting where the students who reported the harassment were placed in the same room as the large group of boys who had made them feel unsafe. Rather than focusing on the repeated harassment that had been reported, we were told, "In a professional workplace, you'd be the one getting in trouble." We were also told that the administration had heard rumors that students were considering leaving because of these incidents, followed by the statement, "That won't be happening. Every student here will walk this stage at graduation." As students, we left that meeting feeling that protecting the school's reputation was more important than addressing the concerns we had brought up. Being told to "stop causing issues" instead of having our reports taken seriously was incredibly discouraging. I recognize that schools may not be able to share every detail of an investigation, and I am not commenting on what actions may or may not have happened behind the scenes. My issue is with how the students who came forward were treated. The response we received made many of us feel unsupported, invalidated, and less willing to report future incidents. This led me to transfer to a public school, where my experience was much better. I am really grateful for the few teachers who listened, showed compassion, and did everything they could to support me and my classmates. However, based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this school because I do not believe the administration handled reports of student harassment in a way that prioritized student safety.

When questioned and shown proof staff brushed it off without looking into it or holding the teacher accountable. Now trying to correct his last name I'm told we have to wait for the teacher to contact Toyota. The same teacher they allowed to openly discriminate against my son with no consequences at this point he's been in contact with a dealership and his certification is wrong holding back his career. They bring lies and false hope to parents and students of color and an uncertainty for their future in that school. Different Grade levels were running the activities and students were also volunteering to help with food service and other things.
