Now, as an update after seeing the staff's (true…read morecolors), -minus the front desk receptionist who has always been sweet and compassionate- I am lately in a WAY worse position in life with my mental health and stress than before I even saw Dr. Bochtler. I never lied to her and told her I had s history of substance abuse but that my anxiety and adhd were affecting me still and I was hoping we could find a solution together. We went through literally 5-6 options for each diagnosis and at times the side effects from a certain stimulant made me feel hopelessly depressed. I'd call the office and Dr. bochtler acted like I was a burden and needy. And not to mention her hunchman, Ray or Roy . He is an office manager and sweet until he gets upset then flips off and hangs up phones. Anyway, it's important to know that Despite me repeatedly telling the psych I have seizures coming off anxiety sedatives too quickly, she still had her shield(Ray) call me one day out of nowhere to say she would no longer be able to provide for me. Period. No explanation given. It wasn't until I mentioned that this is negligence and referred to as patient abandonment in healthcare. Then, after realizing I wasn't stupid and knew my rights, he continuously denied ever saying I was being kicked out of her practice as a patient t. He said he just meant I need to not take Xanax. Which I would have been totally into listening to. But when the doctor puts her patient's life at risk and is too scared to do her job, it's a problem. With all respect, how does a office manager know how to taper and why is he even looking in my chart when he isn't involved in my care other than for billing purposes . My last Rx was Methamphetamine for adhd and I specifically recall dr bochtler day, "they'll probably be investigating me like cra6 now thinking I'm pushing hard drugs"... to which I didn't know how to respond . So Aside from immensely worsening my anxiety and panic by lying/creating up this fabrication of a story, I was consistently given multiple controlled substances sometimes with 2 or more refills. I guess I'll let karma work itself out; if the DEA or Arizona board of medicine decide discipline is warranted. But for now. I am spreading the word through every possible resource I have to NOTZ trust these people. They should not be prescribing 5-6 controlled meds to a patient at once (not to mention those who admitted from day one they were in recovery). ZERO stars. Minus the receptionist:)

It wasn't until a cascade of traumatic events occurred, when I was really able to see his compassion and concern for my mental and psychological welfare. I had never dealt with such adversity, and felt completely dysregulated. Throughout the ordeal, he never made me feel like I was abnormal, to blame, or in layman terms "a mess. " I am in a much better place now.
