I must give some kudos again to Jerry's Towing and Auto Body in Jackson. The day we found Jerry's was a blessing. I have been to charlatans in past experiences. One didn't know how to do a repair. It took about three tries and then the owner said he had been in the business 30 years and that his repairs could not have failed over and over again. He told me ridiculous things like you can't close a liftgate or a door by pressing on the car. You had to use the door handles. Strangely he said my master cylinder was leaking and he had to do a brake job. I checked when I got home and there were no leaking spots on my driveway and the master cylinder he put in only lasted a few months. I had to feel suspicious. I had to take him to court and won. I took the car to Jerry's and he repaired the same dimple in the liftgate. It too failed within two weeks. Without delay and right there with me Jerry's ordered a replacement liftgate with no further charge. It worked and the problem was completely solved. I could tell you more but my caveat is just to be careful about whom you choose to do repairs. It's worth the trip to Jackson to deal with someone honest and capable. Since then we have purchased new cars. In Bayonne NJ a school bus driver bumped into our newest Jeep. And yet another time my wife's flip-flop shoe got caught on the accelerator and she hit a log at the edge of a rock garden. On a very windy day in a shopping mall a utility cart blew across the lot and hit our brand new Jeep. Then in a parking lot some time later a car cut us off causing damage to the front and on January 12 of this year a truck driver made a sudden left turn crashing into our brand new 2019 Jeep us. He was ticketed and found guilty. It cost $21,000 to repair the Jeep. We have sent several other people to Jerry's and never has any one of them complained. What delights me is that the he shop could have had these many thousands of dollars and more to come if he had been honest and knowledgeable with us. The workers are great. We often bought lunches or little treats to them after they did some work. The owner was the problem. Jerry's is family operated and has 40 employees. The property is the size of a small town. Jerry guarantees the work in writing as long as you own the car. They stick to it without any resistance. They also have a rental or loaner car business there. Believe me, when you walk into the shop and meet Jennifer at the reception desk, Jerry's boys, Tom who oversees all repairs and test drives every repaired car, you will know that you are in the right place. Also they will detail your car before returning it to you. I have never known any other repair shop that would do that. We never knew of Jerry's until we first used their services. Since then we have become friends with them. The main things that cause customers to return and to recommend the service to others are fair treatment (don't fake extra repairs) and friendly personal service. Jerry's has it all and that's why his repair shop is so huge. Be careful. Don't get sucked into the scammers. Jerry's is at 456 West Commodore Drive in Jackson NJ. Some crashes are horrible things and often a traumatic experience. You don't need the burden of an inept or dishonest repair shop on top of it all. My wife and I would like to stop in and see them all again at Jerry's but not for repairs. We have had enough. I don't believe in luck, good or bad, but we have had our share of things that were not our fault. Having Jerry's to help us through has been a true blessing. read more

TERRIBLE experience with Jerry's, a huge mistake choosing them to fix our vehicle. They estimated one month, took TWO months, leaving us with $500 in rental fees in order to get to work. They took zero accountability, blamed each other and all the vendors. The GM, Bill Lovins, said he'd call me back in 60 mins to straighten out this mess but didn't call back at all and then refused to take my calls. I asked to speak to Jerry and was laughed at by Art, said Jerry is long retired and has nothing to do with the business. Art also told me that Bill Lovins would send us a check to help with the rental and of course the check never came. And as if some kind of bad joke, less than a month later, the back hatch door broke while we were loading groceries almost catching us on the heads and denting our door. AWFUL in every way! I had an accident in my 2011 Chevy Camaro and the color is a metallic green. I didn't expect a good color Match at all to be honest. But let me tell you how great of a job they did at Jerrys. Went here to get my car fixed after an auto accident. It is a brand new, 2015 vehicle. After speaking with one of the employees who told me he was "the right-hand-man to the boss/owner" and that my car will be fixed as new, unfortunately that wasn't the case. Not only did they lie to me about the parts they used - told me it was factory parts when it was in fact aftermarket - but argued with me when I brought it back to them in order to fix parts that weren't done correctly the first time around. If your insurance company recommends this bodyshop: don't go. Do yourself a favor and find another, even if it's a little further drive from your home. read more

I have a garage kept, A4 Audi Convertible 2009. I only take this car out in perfect weather. They other day it was terribly keyed, across the entire passenger side door. I was very nervous as to where to bring my baby to get repaired. Jerry's came highly recommended to me, and so that is where i brought my car. RIP OFF JOINT!!. Took my car there to have the A/C looked at because it was blowing hot air they told me they put in dye and found a leak, fixed it and all is good. Three weeks later A/C starts blowing hot air again take car back, more dye now a leak in a valve get that fixed all is good pay them again. Three weeks later no cold air. Take the car to Jackson Auto Repair guy tells me they NEVER put dye in and valve was put in wrong and is leaking. JERRY'S AUTO BODY is a RIP OFF. Had a negative experience with an insurance claim at this facility. The aftermarket parts that Jerry's installed failed after about a year. They claimed it was a result of tampering and not a manufacturing defect. When provided with documentation to the contrary, they refused to acknowledge the defect. read more

Jerry's Auto Body- unethical crooks! Overcharged for towing our car after an accident way over the Jackson ordinance limits. We needed to get the police involved. The Jackson police visited the shop and then I received a revised bill. Even after that, Jerry's tried to charge us for 2 days storage when car was only with them for 22 hours. Also told us they could charge us a missing key fee because my son, who was being evaluated by the paramedics at the time, didn't offer them a key (even though a key was not needed at all to tow the car). Definitely filing a claim with consumer affairs. Stay clear away from this business. Taking advantage of people who are already dealing with a stressful situation- especially a teenager, is absolutely disgraceful! Jerry's Auto Body, you should be ashamed of yourself! read more

IF I COULD PUT A ZERO I WOULD!!!! IF YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED GO TO THEM!!!! I had my 2005.5 Jetta VW TDI towed to Jerry's after replacing the head, timing belt and water pump. I asked if the shop had the diagnostic tools to work on VW as they are very particular to work on. The shop assured me that they had everything they needed to do the diagnostic work. The car was dropped off on Friday just before closing. Saturday as they are only open for 4 hours no work done, Sunday Closed. Monday they pull three pages of error codes and I assure them that most of the codes are from the broken drivers side wiring harness. (common problem on 2005.5 VW Jetta). At the end of the day I am told the car is not getting fuel. (False as I checked the fuel system before it went to the shop and the pump was working). Tuesday reported to have cleared fault codes to one page. Wednesday stopped by the shop to get an update and asked if I could have a copy of the codes to do some research and was told if I take the codes you can take the car. I was reassured that they have the diagnostic tools to work on the car. Thursday I do not call all day and they do not call me. I stop by the shop on my way home from work and I am told that the diagnosis is that I need a new wiring harness for my Jetta and should take it to someone who knows VW cars. (WHAT!!!!!!ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!). Friday morning I am have the car towed to a shop that KNOWS VW cars. I did ask as a courtesy since the car is being returned to me in that same condition that it was brought in that they wave the 2 hours of diagnosis time incurred. I was rebutted with a comment that they actually spent 4 - 6 hours on the vehicle. (OH!!!! Thank you!!). At no time did I loose my cool or make a scene in there place of business. I paid my bill and when the tow truck showed up I left. However that said I feel that they did not have enough knowledge of the vehicle to make a correct diagnosis, and to tell me to take the car to another shop proved the point. I was upset because they charged me for diagnosis that did not result in a repair and a diagnosis that was less than accurate. They should have waved the fee and apologized for having the car for a week and the best they could do is tell me to take it to another shop. Thanks for nothing I'll be sure to pass on my story with my friends. read more
