IMy only disappointment is that they recently quoted me on Jaguar body parts and once delivered, informed me that their database had wrong prices and it was ~$250 more than I expected/ was quoted. They should have met me 1/2 way on the error since it was their mistake on the quote. I'll continue to use them but I'll get quotes in writing next time. That said, I've used Compact Kars multiple times over the years for both collision and minor body work repair. They are a long standing local business that is very competent at their craft and work closely with the local luxury car dealerships( Ray Catena Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, etc.). read more

Compact Kars is without a doubt the best body shop I have ever used, and trust me, I have personally needed a body shop a significantly above average number of times. Excuse me for a moment while I knock wood; it's been a few years now. But while I have come to need them less and less over the years, my wife's proclivity toward being involved in an accident has grown, and our most recent repair experience was coordinated by Compact Kars. When the Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen dealers in Freehold were still under the David Michael banner, they used to recommend them exclusively, and I can see why. In this particular case, her car was rear ended at what had to be at least 30 mph, judging from the damage. They had the car for about two and a half weeks, and when it was completed, I would never have known the car had been hit. That's saying a lot, because I have worked in the automotive industry for basically my entire career, and even tiny issues no one else might notice jump out at me. Even though the car was five years old, the new paint was absolutely indistinguishable from the old, and every panel lined up perfectly. When we picked it up, that was it. Nothing popped up after the fact that had been overlooked or reconstructed less perfectly than thought to have been at first glance. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end, and that's an unusual thing to feel about a transaction with a body shop. Compact Kars gets my enthusiastic recommendation whenever I have a chance to offer it, and while I hope to never again need a collision repair, if and when I do, I will definitely be returning. read more

Compact Kars just finished repairing my Honda Odyssey which was smashed in the rear while at a red light. It was significant damage (about 15K). They did a great job with the repair. Everything looks perfect. And the detailing was very good too. The car was like new. Even the alloy wheels were clean. At first I only gave them 4 stars because somehow they misplaced my 3rd row floor mat. As an honest and responsible company, they reimbursed me for a replacement mat. So they deserve 5 stars. Everyone makes mistakes, not everyone takes responsibility for them. So kudos to them for doing the right thing. I highly recommend them. read more

I used Compact Kars since 1993 on all my family's cars, but I have to say that in the last 5 years their work has suffered greatly and they are not standing behind making corrections. In the past the work was great, but 5 years ago my car was in an accident and I had them fix it and paint it as an insurance claim. Five years later everything on the car is immaculate EXCEPT where they painted it. A paint job should last longer than 5 years and if it doesn't there should be a free repair. They blamed the paint manufacturer, and wanted me to pay the rest for their labor just because the car had alot of miles. If I didn't keep the car immaculate, and the rest of the paint was in bad shape, then they would have an argument, but in this case they should have just fixed it and eaten the charges for labor, or better yet make the paint manufacturer pay for their labor. That's what I would have done for my customers. BTW they painted the bumper on the same car some 2 years later after my wife backed into my rear bumper and damaged it and the paint doesn't match well. It seems to be a different shade. The owner Tom gave me some BS and sent me on my way. I expect better from them, but I guess I will have to go elsewhere from now on to find that! read more

I have heard many positive comments regarding the business which was what first encouraged me to choose this body shop when our check engine light first turned on. First impressions were extremely reassuring as the building and office members seemed professional and organized. They made ease of the problem in no time and soon the car was working properly and came back cleaner than ever. I have used Compact Kars in past with my Honda and Acura vehicles and their work I found to be excellent regarding collision repairs and bodywork. However, it has been awhile since I have needed their service and with my 2017 Audi A3 I was not so sure they were the right place to take my car which needed some bodywork. After visiting with 3 other recommended and certified Audi repair shops, I decided to take my car to Jeff and his team at Compact Kars, as he explained everything in detail when he provided me a detailed estimate, which the other shops did not do. He said it would take about 2-weeks, and if it were not for some back and forth with the insurance agent it would have been done within the timeframe. As it was, it was only a few days longer then estimated. On picking up my car I found the repair to be complete and Matt did an excellent job in that I could not tell the car was ever damaged. I am convinced that if I ever need to have collision repairs done on my car, I will bring it back to Compact Kars without hesitation. read more
