Classic haircut in an old setting. It's a great cut and they bring out the shaving cream and straight razor to finish up. They only take cash, but it's only $14. Excellent. I was visiting Lubbock for a birthday party and needed a haircut. Got in here at 5 PM and they took care of me. Pretty much an old-school barbershop. Even has a shoeshine guy! Only $13 for a senior citizen haircut which was in my budget. read more

Maurice cut my hair for the first time 20 years ago, and will cut my sons hair for the first time this year. I visit Jerry's Barbershop every year that I visit Lubbock and will continue to do so! You get a quality cut and a great conversation. You walk in looking like a mess, and walk out looking like a gentleman. Maurice- I'm still working on getting that Hemi Also- Don't listen to the reviews about politics and such. This is an old fashioned barber shop in West Texas. Go to Great Clips if you can't handle political banter. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If you don't agree with what they say, speak up. I'm sure they'd quite enjoy it. $11 haircuts. I have visited many barbers in town over the years in search of good place to take my son. This place is old school. Manly yet comfortable enough for moms. Wouldn't go anywhere else now. People sign up for certain barbers so on Friday you will see a packed waiting room. HOWEVER My son goes to whoever is available, that's usually Scott, a much older gentleman who really adds charm to the place. Best haircut I've ever had. And I highly recommend a straight razor shave, too. Atmosphere is laid back, everybody is super friendly, just a great place to get a cut and shave. The prices are definitely reasonable. Last but certainly not least, Neal the shoeshine guy (who played in the 1960s for the Kansas City Monarchs) put a shine on my leather shoes that hasn't faded yet...been over a month since he shined them! This place is the all around best place to get your hairs cut. I hadn't been here since I was probably 7, and 15 years later this place hasn't changed a bit. Even some of the same people are here. Great price and awesome environment. The stylists are so precise and take their time instead of rushing through. Great place you can BS with the workers and they deserve your business. I have never had anyone cut my hair besides my mom because she was a hairstylist but now I live in another state so I had to find someone else. I was pretty nervous to be honest but I saw Jeremy and he was awesome and did a great job. Only reason that it is not a 5 star is because they take cash only which was kind of a hassle but they said I could leave and go get cash and come back which says a lot about them. Highly recommend. I go to Maurice all the time, as I need a fresh haircut. I've never been disappointed. All of the barbers are exceptional.

Overall, was a pleasant experience. Was a bit difficult to find, but worth the extra effort. My son received a cut from one of the new female barbers. I was happy with the result. Compared to other barber shops in town, the $11 cut is most definitely the best bang for my buck. Will most likely be back. read more

Murice and the gang have a gazillion years of experience, so a good haircut is assured. And if you don't like it, they will redo it, till you like it or your hair is all gone!!! Besides the sports memorabialia, the artwork and peanuts, you can get a good shine, hot lather shave, something really great about that hot towel treatment, but the part I like most about Jerry's is the Town Square like conversation. Education isn't hearing what you already agree with and you can be happy to know the discussin' of local issues to world affairs is close to what it must of been like in the old days of Texas when a stranger shows up at a campfire with news from afar. Just had another fine haircut at Jerry's. Been a customer for 3 years and have had every barber in the place. I've never had a bad cut, even when I was wearing the flat top.
