I had a frustrating experience at this location in Washington NC. My order was incorrect even though the instructions were clearly provided. The staff did not seem attentive or well-coordinated, which contributed to the issue. With better training and attention to customer requests and learning how to read what is directly asked of how to make a simple sub the way a customer has asked of the staff. Hopefully management will address these issues and help the staff to become better employees and pay attention to what the customer is asking and paying for. read more

Got sick after eating there! On December 4, 2025, I ordered a hot sub (preparation done out of public view) from there and also treated some police officers, who worked at the hospital, to a sandwich as well. When I arrived home and opened the wrapper, I noticed the contents weren't neatly placed. Some of the meat was outside of the bun and there was an unusual odor, not disturbing, but unusual. I ate the sandwich and drank a bottled water. After a few moment I had an immediate reaction to what I had consumed, nausea, headache, vomiting and diarrhea!!! I'm a fan of Jersey Mikes, however this place is so inconsistent I can only give two stars. Ask for light mayo and they go way overboard. I've been in there and heard employees grumbling and complaining which doesn't exactly put you at ease ordering food, you'd expect a little more professionalism. I've ordered online and shown up 30 minutes later to have them tell me they were out of something and that it would take another 30 minutes to make more. And they couldn't refund my order, they had to give me cash out of the register, but couldn't give me reward points back that I had used for a second sub. Frustrating experience. Unfortunately they seem to be very busy so likely whoever owns it is making money hand over fist and doesn't need to worry about improving anything. I've never seen anyone that seems to be remotely in charge there. The interior seems a little dirty as well, I've sat down to wait for my order and the tables don't seem too clean. I stop at this Jersey Mike's regularly during travels to Washington from Bath, NC. I've always enjoyed the sandwiches I've gotten here; Jersey Mike's restaurants are, to me, the very best national chain for sub shops, and I've always been able to count on the quality of their food, no matter which restaurant I visit. I stopped at the one in Washington yesterday, as a matter of fact. Their sanitation grade was "A" with a 98.0 rating. My sandwich (I usually go with the number 9) was delicious. The service was friendly, prompt, and came with a smile. I try to be an easy customer, and I find no matter where I go that a courteous, friendly tone to staff goes a long way. There is turnover of staff at most all restaurants these days, but in my experience, the Jersey Mike's in Washington trains their people well, and I always look forward to stopping there. read more

I have never had a bad experience here, I've been coming to this location since it opened, approx 10 yrs. The sandwiches are always great and I've never received a sandwich prepared wrong. I've also never had an issue with service. They are normally pretty busy so I don't expect a lot of small talk. I have amassed over 500 pts. on their loyalty program, saving for days when I have no money for a sandwich, LOL. They are a must when we tailgate for ECU. I love Jersey mikes, but this location could use improvement. The young man behind the counter taking orders is very rude. He cut me off in the middle of my order to ask the next guest what they would like, when I was clearly just taking a pause before my next breath. Cue an aggravated sigh from the sandwich maker. The negative reviews for this particular restaurant are downright silly. I have enjoyed Jersey Mike's stores all over Virginia and NC and this was my best experience. My Club Supreme, served in a tub, was excellent, with a very generous amount of meats and toppings. The service was fast and super friendly. The store was clean. Men's restroom? Spotless. The only reason anyone should ever eat at any of these over-processed fast food places is out of absolute necessity. I found myself near starvation, with Jersey Mike's being about the only thing open with a vegetarian option. It was not good at all. But, at least I got something to eat. The staff was friendly.
