    Chicken Shawarma Wrap

We needed a place to eat before our flight back to the US and wanted to try a new cuisine. We met Brenda at the counter and told her we were newbies. She let us try different meats and helped us create the order we would like. We ordered chicken shawarma wraps and they were ridiculously good. Especially the bites that had plenty of pickle in them. When she had time she also ran and wiped down tables. We were impressed by her work ethic. Brenda was so kind to us - it truly made our day. We may come back to Canada just to pay her another visit! Highly recommend.

    Mmm... plain flavourless cucumbers.

Used to be my goto for shawarma. They used to have three or four people working it was busy they were busy the food was good. Now it is hit or miss and there are probably around 8-9 people standing behind "working", while two are physically doing everything. I went there yesterday and I ordered a chicken Shawarma plate. I was asked if I wanted a tossed salad or a Greek salad. The tossed salad looked extremely lackluster. The Greek salad was just basically cucumbers with no dressing, no feta, a few tomatoes and one or two olives. Feta is what really makes a Greek salad. I asked why there was no cheese and the girl behind the counter pointed to a small half dime piece of cheese and said yes there is some. My students are going to write an awesome review on a picture that I give them as a practice. The chicken was a little over cooked and dry. The garlic sauce was good. Sadly I didn't just go for the garlic sauce. If I didn't teach culinary students I probably wouldn't know any better. I hope that they get better in the future and more consistent. I have not lost all hope... I used to recommend this place to everyone now I am just disappointed.

Big family after landed from airport!

Fantastic food, huge portions super fresh super tasty super healthy. We were a big big group of over 18 and got our food so quickly. So courteous gave us tea and baklava and water . highly highly recommend this place definitely visiting again. Shout out Valy! Took amazing care of us

Donair plate - recommend getting all the sauces! The garlic sauce is divine

Super tasty shawarma plates. The meat is cooked well and they give you a pita with your plate. The portion is honestly enough to stretch to two meals for me. The potatoes had a bit of crisp and the inside was tender, perfect for dipping in their garlic sauce. Great value for what you get. I had the donair plate and was super happy with everything, the only thing I wish would've done differently was ask for more sauce. Be ready to nap after this meal because it sure isn't light.

Excellent food and customer service!!! We each ordered chicken shawarmas and they were delicious!!! The regular is huge and filled with flavor. The gentleman helping us gave our daughters free fries too!! Thank you for a great experience.

Amazing layout when you walk in. The ambiance is great with all the staff talking whilst making your order and the menu is well priced. Great food !, great service and great atmosphere!!

Beef Kebob plate comes with two skewers. Might add a third for a nominal cost of $4.50.

My colleague and I walked in and we both order the same thing - Chicken Sharwarma. Their prices are more expensive compared to their competitor and the portion is a lot small as well. I don't know what's with the high rating or maybe they just went downhill all of a sudden. The chicken sharwarma: I like how the pita bread is crunchy. The meat isn't seasoned very well. I mean I had chicken sharwarma where it would really stand out. Not much strong flavor in it. I do like the fact that they are generous in sauce. I mean I am a sauce person. The portion size is smaller compared to their competitor for the price paying. Also the chicken sharwarma is very messy to eat. It drips from either end. What's really disgusting is the hair found in my colleagues chicken sharwarma. That was nasty. Well its good that they replaced his half chicken sharwarma and she did try to explain and did apologized. We came in at noon and left at 12:30. That works just fine for me, I'm not sure I could've had much more than a puff or two of it otherwise. It was my first sheesha experience. I was also the first one there. Cafe Med was busy and I was too afraid to go in by myself. Thank the good Yelp gods for Sarah Louise! She saved me from looking like a creep peeking in the windows for too long. The folks at Cafe Med are friendly people. Our server talked us into some Moroccan Madness (tea) while we waited for the rest of our peeps to arrive. We also snacked on some red pepper hummus and rolled up grape vine leaves (if you've never had them, they're comparable to cabbage rolls in concept... just a different flavour to them). You might also want to try the garlic pizza. As far as sheesha bars go, I have nothing else to compare this one to! So it's got three stars in my books. Mostly because the guy serving our table offered to fill our tea pots up with more hot water, took the pots away and didn't return with them until we inquired about them again. And also because, even though it's a spot to come smoke things, there were times the haze built up enough to burn my eyes for a moment or two. At any rate, the food was pretty cheap, the pipes were just over $10 each and they kept bringing new coals around. From what I gathered, not dropping ashes into the pipe is a bit of an art that Cafe Med has mastered. Overall, a positive experience!

They have so many different flavours of shisha to choose from and each is delicious in their own way. I prefer the fruity flavours to the chocolate or coffee ones though... I find them a little more refreshing. Not only do they have great, friendly service, but they even offer a crash course for all the beginners that go there. It's not like it's hard though. You light the charcoal, and suck on the hose... pretty self-explanatory. Don't worry all you first-timers, everything that goes on inside this place is completely legal. They also have a wide selection of meals and appetizers to choose from, but I don't usually go for it. Like I said, I don't really care for the shisha so I don't feel the need to buy the food in the joint. My philosophy on shisha is, it's not giving me my nicotine fix so what's the point? I definitely understand why other people like to chill in this place though. That's exactly what you do... chill. It's a nice atmosphere with cool people.
