Nice atmosphere in the Ostend, even if it's a bit noisy. Young professional crowd, hanging out after work on a weekday. Service friendly and prompt. We ordered the Argentinian filet steaks which were tender and very tasty. A nice glass of Conero to round of the experience. 40 Euro pp well invested!

My husband and I came here for brunch (using a B-My voucher) shortly after 11 am. All tables outside were already reserved, but we were able to get a nice table right at a window which was just as good. Their brunch spread is pretty good. They have a waffle station, an anti pasti station, different, cheeses and deli meats, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, you can build your own burgers and hot dogs, they offer chicken nuggets and potato wedges, a broccoli cheese casserole, a tomatoe quiche, bacon, beans and Nurnberger sausages, grilled potatos and mushrooms as well fresh breads and baguettes, different spreads, a dozen sauces and condiments, half a dozen different desserts/puddings as well as cereals and more. I loved the sesame baguette with the spicy tomato/paprika spread, the grilled mushroom and the broccoli casserole. I also ordered a "Milchkaffee" which was decent as well. Overall, this was an enjoyable brunch and I would not be opposed to returning here. The only thing I did not like was the cheese knife situation. All knives used for cutting cheeses were sitting in a mug with water (which looks pretty gross after the knives had been used a few times) and that didn't strike me as super sanitary... Not sure how this could be improved though...?

This was a hop and a skip away from the hotel I was staying at. I wasn't sure what I would walk into, but was pleasantly surprised. The place was small, but had a great vibe. The first thing that caught my attention was the music playing. They played my jams! . With no prior reservation made, we were still seated promptly. As I bopped my head with the beat and perused the menu, our server came to greet us and took our order. I ordered the tagliatelle with beef strips and that was very satisfying. Staff was attentive and very accommodating. Definitely a place I would dine again when in Frankfurt.

I went to drink something afterwork with some colleagues, without having a specific place in mind... And we ran into Jesse James. What a beautiful, elegant and gorgeous place, very classy and the jazz playing in the background fits perfectly. Cocktails are OK, although we had to wait more than 25 mins to drink them, it was worthy - they have a super long and complete cocktail / drinks menu with all the cocktails, long drinks, liquors, negronis or smashes that you can imagine. Top!

The food was generally okay but not spectacular. The patio is nice but the service can be very slow. That has been my experience more than once. One time we did have a good waitress but I didn't get her name.

Great interior, amazing warm bread w/ olive dip and really yummy cesaer salad w/ beef for lunch. Have to come back for dinner and drinks sometime. Good music, ambiance and excellent service - waiter reminds me of Tyson Beckford.

Best burgers around. The nightly specials are always a hit. Everyone I'm in town I will be eating lunch or dinner here.

Unlike most of the restaurants in this hipster neighborhood, Solzer offers traditional German fare, and we started with Handkäs' mit Musik, a chewy, mochi-like cheese dressed with vinegar and onions and served with a slice of farmer's bread. One of their signature entrees was "Solzer's Krüstchenschnitzel," a breaded pork fillet served over a slice of grilled farmer's bread, topped with a fried egg and bacon, and served with green sauce (sour cream and herbs), horseradish, and a refreshing salad (lettuce, tomato, carrots, red onion, peppers, pumpkin seeds) on the side. This was a nicely balanced plate, and the different components came together nicely from the savory, crispy schnitzel to the herbaceous, creamy green sauce and the acidic, refreshing salad. Everything of course went nicely with their apple wine, and the service was friendly and attentive too!

The patio was open and it really gave the restaurant a nice indoor/outdoor feel. When we first sat down, beers were ordered. As Americans, we're used to ordering a pint. What I noticed, Apfelwein Solzer as well as other pubs are serving very large beers, 1.5 or even 2 pint glasses? Am I complaining? Hello no! For my meal I ordered the Hunters Cutlet with Frankfurt sauce. The sauce is the towns local specialty, it tasted herbaceous, very flavorful and unexpected. The place was packed, we had a great meal and was glad we took the Uber from our hotel. The Uber ride back with the driver doing 200 KPH is another story.

Nice ambience and staff all speak English and are good at suggesting dishes to try! Beware portions are large - even by American standards!! My partner and I got 2 apps and a main to share and could not finish. We got the hand cheese music(?), beef sausage salad and a mushroom schnitzel. The schnitzel was by far the star of the show (as we should have expected)! The cheese is famous so we had to try it but sheep's cheese is a bit too strong for me and it had a harder texture than I prefer. My partner liked it though so I'd recommend giving it a shot if you're adventurous!! We also got their homemade lemonade which was a fizzy raspberry lemonade. Pretty good as well but wish I had tried one of their ciders!

They're trying to stick to the monastery beer vibe but it doesn't hit the mark in that regard. The old place was cozy and old and felt authentic, this place is new, loud and generic. Maybe it's not so bad and I'm sore because I miss the old place but it just doesn't feel the same. Service was good, food was good, beer cold but it still feels like every other place out there. Probably won't be back, unfortunately. If you like well lit, upscale, generic restaurants try this one out. The food is good but the ambience is off.
