It was wonderful to meet him in person and express my appreciation. The restaurant features a contemporary design with indoor and outdoor seating. The open kitchen is directly behind the counter seating. We started with the Pumpkin Soup that our server suggested we split. It was amazing. My daughter ordered the Panzerotti pasta with blue cheese, plum and oyster mushroom. My choice was the Veal Fillet which was a substantial serving and incredibly tasteful and tender. The Pear Strudel was a perfect desert to end our meal. Excellent service, pricing and presentation. This restaurant deserves it own Michelin star.

We tried the Conchiglie pasta with scallops, asparagus, and bufallo cheese and the duck breast with carrots, cherries and feta cheese. Both came with deliciously creamy sauces. The buffalo and feta chesses gave the dishses a rich flavor. Total damage was EUR 40 for two entrees and two non-alcoholic drinks. That's not cheap, but not overly pricey for Frankfurt either. The interior decor was so-so. They have some kind of chair-theme going on, and you can even buy the chairs that are listed on their menu. Ironically, I didn't find their seating very comfortable. We also didn't like that they don't have an English menu on hand. That would be an easy thing to fix, if they wanted to... Reservations for this place are recommended as it gets quite packed on weekends and eve of public holidays.

I didn't pay too much attention to what our friends ate, since I was so occupied by my plate, and so surprised to actually be eating food of that level in Sachsenhausen! Kids had a modified pasta dish and a steak. Our 4 adults ate three courses (with just one main course for each of two kids), each had an aperitif, split one bottle of wine (or was it two???), and had coffee for about 300 euros. I'd also say Sorriso was a place you can take business guests, or host a family event. We'll be adding this to our list of regular go-to restaurants.
