Dr. Jesse is the best chiropractor I've received treatment from, out of 9 practitioners. I was diagnosed with scoliosis at 14 years old, & later, severe spinal stenosis in my lumbar and cervical spine. Dr. Jesse assesses my body each visit before deciding what specific treatment he will do. He uses many modalities, is gentle & effective each time. Previous chiropractors would do the same methodology each visit, even though we know our bodies are constantly changing. Their adjustments may have helped temporarily, however, Dr. Jesse's treatments last longer & are of better value. Dr. Jesse's character, integrity, honesty, and education are unmatched in this field. I have been thinking about what to write in my review for a little while now and have decided on a 3 star review and I'll explain why. I came here after all of the great reviews I saw on yelp and purchasing the yelp deal. After my initial and follow up meetings, I believed that vibrance and Dr. Jessie could help me with my recurring neck and shoulder pain/issues. I invested a lot of money and dedicated 6 months of regular visits to deal with this issue long term. First of all I must say that the office staff and Jessie himself are friendly, easy to get along with, and flexible. They always worked with me to get appointments when I needed them and were always super nice. What I didn't realize, coming from an office where I paid $75 for almost a full hour personal session with a chiropractor, was that there were multiple appointments at once where the chiropractor sees up to 3 people at a time. The beds are spaced a few feet apart but there are 3 in a room so it was hard to feel personal attention. And I didn't really enjoy hearing other folks moan and crack. So I took away one star for the "factory" like feel of the adjustments. Secondly, it was presented that with a 6 month package, it would help heal my issues on a long term basis. Well after 6 months of treatment and a few months after treatment, my issues still persist. According to the scans, the treatment did help other issues in my body but the main issue I went in for was not and is still not resolved. So I took away one more star for that. Overall, vibrance chiropractic is a warm and welcoming place. I just didn't like the 3 people at a time, "factory" like, adjustments. And I was not satisfied that after all the time and money I put in, my main issues are still there and have not been resolved. read more

I take my chiropractic seriously. By that I mean that I get an adjustment several times a month. After years of bi-weekly visits, and now having worked with a number of practitioners, I can confidently say that Dr. Jesse has a GIFT. He strikes an amazing balance between gentle and forceful, and just seems to have a sixth sense about how all your muscles and joints fit together. Just tell him what hurts, and he can pretty quickly identify the root cause. The really awesome part, though, is the adjustment itself. He isolates the tight spot in your tricep, or your imbalanced sacrum, or the series of pinched neck and shoulder muscles that is causing you jaw pain, and hones in on it. With precision and persistence. For those of you who are less familiar with chiropractic, this, in my opinion, is key. There are chiropractors out there who will crack your entire neck -- once in each direction -- and then send you packing. I've been to a couple of those. That sort of thing is way too invasive, it's just cutting corners, and luckily it's the opposite of what Jesse does. Jesse can focus in on one vertebra in your neck, and pop that sucker back into place. Just that one vertebra! I don't know what he does. It's like a dart, suspending gracefully in the air, before going into the bulls-eye. I digress, but if you ever figure it out, tell me how he does it. He also does incredible deep tissue work, and if you like to incorporate yoga-inspired breathwork into your adjustment (which I do), he can do that too. He uses a variety of techniques, and customizes each visit to what you need that day (as opposed to going through the same motions each time). My work involves the stock market, and for years I have spent more than 10 hours a day at a desk with a computer. As a result, I have built-up pain in my mouse arm that wraps around my shoulder blade to my elbow. I also hold a fair amount of stress in my shoulders, neck and jaw. Regular chiropractic treatment is one of the things I seek in order to maintain good health and well-being. Dr. Jesse has played an important role in my health. I have tried a number of chiropractors over the years, but I never felt any improvement from them. So, I was skeptical that Jesse could help me, but willing to try because he was a such a great guy (I met him at my Crossfit gym.) My primary issue was recurring migraines 2-3 days/month for the past 20+ years. Due to the migraines I also experienced severe pain/tightness/pinching in my neck, arm and hip because my body would tense up so much. I have received much chiropractic care over the years. I can typcially tell at the first adjustment if the person is going to work for me. Dr. Morris goes to great lengths to take time to explain his philosophy and approach (in two separate sessions), but the manner in which he does so is condescending and I felt as though I was being treated like I was stupid. I found his muscular "release methods" to be a bunch of "hokus pokus" with no real effect. When it came down to him actually doing an adjustment, his adjustment was lacking. He was overly cautious, treated my body as fragile and clearly did not understand how to adjust my atlas. While on the table, he said to me "this is unusual" (my atlas) - I've never had a chiropractor say that to me, and have had many skilled and experience chiropractors who have been very good at adjusting my atlas. Dr. Morris has the opinion that his work has far reaching effects in client's emotional lives, which I see as an over-inflated sense of his own self-importance. Lastly, Dr. Morris does not utilize x-rays, which I have recently found to be exceptionally helpful in understanding what's happening with my bones (which is what chiropractic work is essentially about). He's not a bad person and not a terrible chiropractor, but not a highly skilled one either. read more

5 stars are not enough for Vibrance Chiropractic and Dr Jesse Morris. I found Dr Jesse on Yelp after an unsatisfactory experience with another chiropractor. I've been receiving regular chiropractic care for back and neck issues for several years now and have struggled to find the ideal situation, trying nearly a dozen chiropractors with a wide variety of approaches all over Marin, even going far as the city or into the east bay. I wish I'd checked Yelp sooner as the best of all of them was right here in San Rafael the whole time. Dr Jesse's approach is different than many of the previous DC's I've seen, several of whom have found me too tense to effectively and comfortably adjust. I invited him to jump up and down or use a sledgehammer or whatever he needed to get everything back in place (as others have done), but he laughed it off and showed me that wasn't how he does things. I was converted after the first session and with 1-2 sessions a week he has helped me make more progress with my chronic issue over the last couple months than I have in the previous couple years. Jesse is awesome and his work is magic. I suffered with reoccurring pain throughout my back and hips for months and months on end, and not until regular treatments with Jesse do I have no issues whatsoever. The key is regular maintenance... it's like a shower... you don't do it just once or twice and say "Whooohoo I'm good to go now!" and ignore it for another six months. (At least I hope not.) Clearly, adjustments are not daily (as I hope your showering is) but consistently often in the beginning to help heal any issues, and then regular weekly or bi-monthly is a great regimen to keep you healthy. Anyway, with the maintenance factored in as normal, I truly appreciate that Jesse has a clean, respectful, quiet and (almost private) communal room (up to 3 patients at a time...who never even really see each other's faces) which allows him to keep his costs down for his patients. I have been to many Chiropractors who charge up to $110/session, yet Jesse is way more gifted and effective AND offers packages that allow sessions to cost half of that. Dr. Morris is an intelligent and highly capable chiropractor. I saw him a few weeks ago for some issues I was having with my upper back. His assessment was thorough and diligent. He was able to clear my back of what's called "subluxations." He explained these to me as minor dislocations in spinal bones that decrease the nervous system's ability to send and receive messages throughout the entire body. I had no idea the positioning of spinal bones (vertebra) could actually effect how my nervous system was functioning. I felt extremely aligned and "clear" after visiting Jesse and plan on returning soon after the new year. I highly recommend Jesse. read more
