We liked what John had to offer and decided to contract with him at the first meeting. He was very professional and very personable as well. He gave us a workbook to detail our musical interests, which songs to play for which special dance, etc. At our second meeting, we went over the workbook information and discussed the schedule for the reception. He was very good about getting down the details of exactly what we wanted and what his exact role would be. He made good suggestions based on his experience. He did an excellent job at the wedding reception, playing music that fit our tastes and making announcements or encouraging dancing. We had no worries the entire time. John truly made our wedding reception special.

(Full disclosure: I knew Rebekah as a friend before hiring her as a photographer.)…read more I found myself in a pinch needing a photographer for multiple Yelp events in one night, and it dawned on me that Liz M had mentioned our friend, Rebekah, was doing photography for her cookbook. I gave Rebekah a call (actually, I sent her bf a Facebook message), and she was happy to help me! Before the event, Rebekah asked for my expectations and the types of shots I wanted. We talked through the two events she was photographing, and we both felt good about them. She showed up early for the event and quietly got to work capturing some amazing shots of the event. Then, she left the first event in Dublin and traveled to the second one in Grandview. She beat me there and got right to work. I just opened my photos from the events, and they are spectacular. I know Rebekah's Facebook and website don't boast a lot about her event photography, but I think that's where she shines. She really captured the spirit and the joy in both events, and the photos will be fantastic marketing tools for me and the businesses featured. I'm really impressed with Rebekah's photography, and I had such a great experience working with her. Here are a few specifics of what I loved: -She asked for expectations upfront. -She arrived on time and didn't need much direction. -She walked the fine line of being part of the event but also blending into the background; sometimes photographers are so noticeable that people won't let their hair down and act natural. Rebekah was perfect! -Her photos really tell the story of the events--nothing posed and cheesy. -The turnaround for getting the photos back was really fast--the next day! This was my first time working with Rebekah, but it most certainly won't be my last. She is an absolute joy, and her work is stellar.

Courtney and I had a consultation a week prior to the shoot, and it was then she calmed my fears about being next-to-nude in front of the camera and helped me decide on my outfits without breaking the bank. (Turns out I had a lot in my closet already!) Courtney's home studio is the perfect set up for a boudoir shoot, I felt very comfortable. It had only been a year since the birth of our first child - and I had fluctuated greatly in my weight but now that I have the photos back, I see now what my husband sees when he looks at me. I love the photos and so does my husband! He even keeps one of the albums on his night stand! I loved working with Courtney, so professional and kind! This will definitely not be the last time I work with her.
