Nonetheless, she is switching medical practices now because she ALWAYS has to wait a minimum of an hour to see her. Recently, she made a virtual appointment, and they never contacted her at all. She waited two hours, then gave up. They never even called her with an explanation. Another problem is long wait times on the phone. Also, when she wants to be seen for an acute illness, she has to wait a couple of days. The office has a serious scheduling problem that they seem to have no interest in correcting.

All of my other doctor's would dismiss my issues as dehydration or a child just complaining to complain. She's thorough and is constantly on top of new research that's happening. One recommendation: go early. She's the kind of doctor that will spend time with her patients without trying to hurry them out. That can lead to longer than average appointments (which is a HUGE plus for me).

I initially came in seeking estrogen pellet therapy because my current estrogen treatment is not adequately controlling my symptoms. I waited over an hour at my first visit (as a new patient) and over 30 minutes at my second. I paid $158 for the first visit and $118 for the second (my insurance my problem), which I was told would be a consultation for pellet placement. After discussing my history at length, I was ultimately told that because I am still menstruating, their BioTE program would only allow a testosterone pellet--not the estrogen therapy I came in seeking. My provider even consulted her supervising physician seeking an exception and I was still denied. This practice relies solely on a computer program for dosing and not symptom dosing which is what the most recent evidence based research states to do. I completely understand that a practice can have its own treatment protocols. My issue is that this limitation was not communicated to me before I paid for a second appointment. I would not have incurred the additional expense had I known the treatment I was seeking was not an option. Overall, I left feeling that my time and money were not respected. This clinic is for menopausal women or women who have had a hysterectomy. Biote (the computer program) does not treat perimenopausal women who are menstrating with estrogen deprivation symptoms and neither does Marcos Medical group.

They never called me back. I watched every other patient in the waiting room get called back, the room emptied 3 times in the hour I was there. When the drug rep came in with Starbucks the door opened for her, no wait at all, of course. They had nothing to tell me when I asked about when I would get called back for my appointment. I had to leave after an hour so I could get to work. I posted a google review saying this, they called me a liar and billed me $80 for leaving. At no point did anyone reach out to personally speak with me, and they keep sending me bills. Do not waste your time with these people, they are not serious about providing medical care. There is no apology when they drop the ball. They just expect you to wait all day until they deign to call you back.

Upon arrival I was greeted and handed the patient paperwork in a prompt manner. The wait was about 30 minutes. So not terrible, and the waiting area had a beautiful big fish tank and peaceful feel to the atmosphere. The lady who did my blood work was a pro for sure. I have very small veins, and I'm always scared I'm gonna get poked up and leave looking like a Michael Myers victim. But she did it on the first try and with very little pain. Anytime I had questions about procedures I was given detailed answers and handed a booklet with even more info as well.
