I hired Laura as our coordinator for my wedding on October 2, 2021. She sounded really great and professional on our phone call so I was excited. The "drafts" of the wedding day timeline were always very sloppy and unprofessional looking and honestly hard to follow. For example: there were notes that were not correct, misspellings etc. Our wedding rehearsal was SUCH a mess and she actually was not even present at it. She sent an assistant to "run" it which I did feel bad for her because she was using "notes" that Laura sent her. These notes were not correct and had everything out of order, wrong people in the wrong spots, wrong timing etc. I ended up taking over and we were quite late to our rehearsal dinner which was upsetting. On our wedding day - some of the specific things I asked for were not executed at all. (layout/floorplan) Something that happened that made me super upset was that we did not have enough chairs set up for people to sit in before the ceremony began and Laura told people to just stand in the back. However, the venue had many extra chairs that could be set up...they just needed to go grab them and set them up for our guests. My own MOTHER had to stop what she was doing and go tell someone to grab the chairs! Seems so silly and simple but also - why would you tell precious friends/family to STAND when there are extra chairs that can be put out? She came up to my pregnant matron of honor and told her she could not receive a second helping of mashed potatoes "until everyone had some" even though we purchased enough food for everyone to have multiple servings, and that was communicated to Laura. I wanted everyone to know that they could eat as much as they wanted...that was important to me that everyone was well fed! Especially my MOH who was feeling sick from her pregnancy and only wanted some mashed potatoes. During our cake cutting she controlled how my husband and I did everything and honestly I don't even remember most of it because she did everything instead of letting us do it...which was incredibly awkward and upsetting. Even our photographer (who was incredible) said something to me about how uncomfortable she was making this cake cutting for my husband and I. All in all I believe that Laura is a good person, but I would NOT recommend her services in any way - especially for a wedding. This review makes me quite sad and emotional to write because this was my wedding day - and looking back on it while of course it was fun and memorable...I can't look past these issues.

In our initial conversations, months away from the big day, she seemed great but as we approached that date I had trouble getting ahold of her for a few weeks, which come to find out she had surgery - no problem but professionally you'd think you would give your clients a head up on something like that. She apologized, but my gut just didn't feel right. We scheduled a venue walk through which I had decided would help me make a decision on whether or not to keep her. We met for the walkthrough and she seemed super nice and eager which made me feel better. One thing that was odd, is during the walkthrough she didn't use a measuring tape to get dimensions, she would pick them up and trace them on a piece of paper. This was another red flag of unprofessionalism. We ended up postponing our wedding due to Covid since we were having a destination wedding and my family was unable to fly. Our new wedding date was moved to October 22, 2021. Amber asked us if we were going to pay the rest of our invoice in 2020 which was also odd. We had already paid the deposits for floral and wedding coordination services ($900) but why would we make another $2,000 payment a year before our new wedding date? Again, a little off-putting. This year (2021), I heard from Amber in March just checking in on us which was really nice! I thought maybe she just had a hard year in 2020 due to Covid and now that things had settled down she was back on her A-game. In September, (2 months away from the wedding) I reached out to her to pay the rest of our invoice but we had an item missing so I asked her to put that on and I'd take care of the final payment. She responded that she would and then two weeks went by with no changes on our invoice. We got an email from her assistant Kelsey (I never knew she had an assistant) saying that Amber had been ill for a few weeks and she was stepping in and would be reaching out to each of us to discuss our weddings. I have not heard from either of them since!!! I have emailed, called, texted and NOTHING! At this point I had 1 month to find a florist and a new wedding coordinator. I should have trusted my gut last year and cut her loose then. I've seen 3 other reviews claiming the same problems. I was afraid that she was really sick so I've been nice in all my communications but 3 days after our wedding I saw her post an IG story of her at another wedding. She can't be "seriously ill" if she's attending other weddings. This is truly a sick scam. We are heading to our honeymoon but I will be filing any reports I can on Better Business Bureau and speaking with a family friend who is a lawyer to see what further action can be taken. Small claims court - whatever it takes. I think she's betting that no one will waste their time or money to get their deposits back but I'm not going to sit back and let her take from anyone else if I can help it. Her son is in the majority of our photos, holding his camera up in the background. They completely disregarded us and our photographer as if our special occasion was their ceremony. He stood in the front and center throughout the entire ceremony! He was not only a distraction to our photographer but also to our guests. We were later told by the photographer that she had to continually tell him to move so that she could do her job. After receiving our photos we contacted the officiant immediately, regarding her son's presence in our photos. Rather than apologize or offer a discount she became very defensive and blamed our photographer. Rather than ask us for photos she decided to disrespect us and our photographer to promote herself. She is very unprofessional, rude and selfish.
