I've been working with owner Amber on an upcoming event. She is very professional. She is great to work with. I highly recommend her.

Dawsonville getting an Indian style restaurant has been the talk of the town since it has opened -…read moresince I love Indian food I had to go check it for myself. Overall, not a bad spot and it doubles as a venue so some leeway is to be had; it does indeed feel like you are just eating in the non-event hours (because you practically are). There was plenty of tables and it has potential; my only gripe is there was some mosquitos (alive and dead) at our table and a few flies buzzing about. The food was alright. The butter chicken was delicious and cooked perfectly (albeit some of the spiciest i've had so beware) and the mango lassi was great. HOWEVER, what is of utmost disappointment is the fact the naan is quite literally just the frozen/shelf bought naan you get at the store. You can tell they just open it, toss it in a microwave, and serve it. Fresh, homemade naan is a highlight of good indian food and for the price that's a huge letdown. The portions could also be better for the price point. We ended up paying over $70 after tip for two people (two entrees, a drink, and two naans each because it was just one store bought piece every order torn in half). I've had twice the food for half that price elsewhere. In summary, this place has potential and some grace is to be given since it's not solely a restaurant. The service is excellent and ambiance fine. However, the price, portion, and manufactured naan knocks it down a level. Give it a try.

You first drive down a short dirt/grass road before entering the parking lot (grass). From the hill you can see the venue and the small barn behind it. The venue itself is very easy on the eyes and can supposedly fit up to 200 guests (if you include the walk way on each side). The tasting event itself was fantastic. There were plenty of other couples and families there at the same time but because the venue can fit up to 200 people you have plenty of room. I won't mention what he tasted here since it may be private to the catering company but their food was great. Some foods outshone others but overall I would be happy to consider them as my main caterer for my future wedding. The decor inside the venue was probably the best part of the experience for me. It had a real southern look to it while still keeping it classy. The venue is real tidy and you can tell they keep it very well maintained. I myself would consider having a reception or rehearsal dinner here in the fall but in the summer it would probably get real hot (ATL outdoor wedding in the summer? oh boy...) since there isn't any AC. Overall, this experience has definitely set the bar high! If you're into outdoor weddings or want to have some sort of event with a barn I would highly suggest Silver City Farm!

From the moment Julie showed me around I was so excited to host our family event there. I knew that what ever theme I chose would fit in perfectly, it is like a blank canvas with so much potential. This past weekend it all came together and surpassed my wildest dreams. Not only were they a pleasure to deal with, always responding quickly to my multitude of questions but they took care of all the vendors the day of and all I had to do was show up. Lauren was so warm and comforting that some of the guests thought she was a family member. We had 150 people comfortably seated with plenty of room for the DJ, dance floor and photo booth. The hall looked beautiful, warm and classic. With most of our guests from Atlanta, Sandy Springs area the compliments just flowed on how beautiful and spacious it was. Having done my homework prior and visiting many other venues,I can honestly say that this was the nicest, most reasonably priced and the most accommodating of all venues. I highly recommend and look forward to hosting future events at 6140 Events .

They never told us about the wedding they ended up booking; we found out about the wedding and they refused to talk to us much less refund us what they said they would. But they chose to get an extra pay day instead. I would not want to have such uncaring, dishonest people in charge of such a special day in my life. Although the setting is admittedly spectacular, acres of hilly vineyards with views of the mountain behind, and the patio was certainly fancy, the tables each with fire pits in the center providing cheery warmth, the tasting experience itself was sub-par and overpriced. It lacked the authentic feel I've seen in other wineries and seems more of a tourist destination. First thing I noticed is the shockingly high tasting fee of $35 for a flight of 4 2-ounce pours of their choice. No substitutions allowed! Either these are some spectacularly great wines or this is a major rip-off. I passed. But since I was here I decided to have a glass. I got one of their estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon. It was around $16 but since I was here. It was good, but certainly not worth the $48 they charge for a bottle. For the $35 do you get individual attention, descriptions from the bartender about the wines and about their winery? No. You get 4 labeled glasses to take back to your table. Not worth it. Find another place less touristy, more authentic. That shouldn't be hard. There are like 65 wineries in the area!

William Butler Yeats With the beautiful backdrop of the rolling hills of North Georgia, Yonah Mountains Vineyards delivers real wine and real romance. Whether it's for an afternoon date, or a full out wedding among the rows of vines, it's hard not to feel love in the air. Great outdoor seating, both covered and uncovered, place you right above the beautiful vineyard and allow you to take it all in. Yonah Mountains Vineyards separates itself from the others by providing familiar wines such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay etc as opposed to the traditional Muscadine wines of the south. The wine itself is decent, but definitely not near the quality of the west coast wines, but all were enjoyable. I particularly liked their Genesis 12, a red wine blend, and their Viognier, an impressive white. Wine flights are around $60 with a choice between white, red, or mixed. Bottles run around $40-100. A little pricey for the product, but then again, it's the whole experience that you are buying, and it's money well spent. Yonah Mountain Vineyards strikes the perfect balance between classy and casual. You'll be just as comfortable in jeans as in a tux or a horrid bridesmaid dress. Cheers!
