He did an excellent job selling us his services and ensuring that he processed our retainer asap. However, as soon as we paid the 50% retainer, his professionalism and responsiveness discontinued. Every time that we confirmed an appointment he would cancel in the last minute. Since we were planning a wedding from out of town, we lost hundreds of dollars on hotel rooms and were left with no time for our engagement photo session. He would take weeks to respond to emails or would be very short with us, never once apologizing for overbooking or forgetting about our appointments. On our final attempt to make the services work, he cancelled once again. We decided to discontinue his services since our wedding was only 40 days away. We feared that with his history of canceling appointments he may not even show up the day of, leaving us without a photographer. When we requested the reimbursement of our retainer, he did not respond. When I was able to get in touch with him on the phone he would say that he did not know who I was and then would say he would call me right back, which of course never actually happened. His contract requires a cancellation via certified mail, however he has yet to respond that he received the letter. The one thing that remained consistent throughout our interactions was his lack of passion for photographing our wedding (after he sold us the package). He seems to look at the role of photographing weddings as more of a job to be done, with no real care for the story behind the couple or role in such a special day. Since he did not end up photographing our wedding, we cannot say anything about his actual work. However, I feel it is very important for future couples to be aware of what happened to us. We do NOT recommend Daniel Skelton Photography.

However, they did not offer the option to combine my kids orders (most photography companies offer an option for families with multiples). I also went in to the order form and noticed they offer a "Star Appeal Retouch" which I never selected. The form automatically adds this option and charges you for it. I attempted to remove it multiple times in case it was user error. I emailed customer service as they do not advertise a contact number to reach them. I was then instructed to call them, per their email response. My mind was blown....seriously have never had this type of experience with a school photography company. So unprofessional, spoke with a young lady, will not mention her name, and after several minutes of attempting to get answers to my basic questions, she kept reiterating that shipping is applied to all orders without exception, even though I have MULTIPLE emails and text links offering FREE SHIPPING for order over $50 if completed by the deadline. When I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, she relayed she was the only one who works for the company. I asked, "are you the owner"? She said she was not. So not only have my questions not been answered, lies that they offer free shipping if you meet the mentioned parameters but now I am being told this young lady is the ONLY ONE that works for the company. Cannot make this stuff up and I have a recorded call of it all!!!

Her photographs are great and she does an excellent job of capturing moments! I love a photographer that just "gets it" and that's most certainly Kim's M.O. She considers my quirks and pet peeves, and totally nails it! She's personable, punctual, and overall great to work with! I never worry when she's on the job and her turnaround time on photo delivery is stellar. This girl is super legit and I'm fortunate to be a customer!
