We are not big "photo" people, didn't want super posed photos, and hadn't had much experience with being professionally photographed. Kara and her support team (I believe named Eric and Nina) somehow made it actually enjoyable. We got a preview within days and our full album not long after. The photos are beautiful and we will cherish them forever. Our photographer stood in the same place for the entire reception, therefore capturing the same people over and over. There are no pictures of the groom's family's table or of the wedding party table. We have the same dancing pictures with the same people over and over. There is only one formal picture of the wedding party, very poor selection of photos of the bride only and none of the groomsmen getting ready when we specifically asked for that. Truly the best pictures we have are ones that friends and family took. Beyond disappointing and upsetting. The other terrible thing about Jay Grubb photography is how long it takes to get your pictures. We waited 18 weeks to get our pictures and then to be that disappointed after that long wait is completely inexcusable. Use another photographer for your precious memories.
