Of course, my son was fussy that day and she had no problem with taking a break so I could give him a bottle. I hired Sweet Sister's Photography (Janda) to do my daughter's newborn photos. I followed the specific preparation instructions, however, when I pulled in to the parking lot, my daughter was screaming and crying. Janda sprung right in to action. She greeted me at the car and carried my daughter's carseat inside and asked how our morning had been. Janda sat with me while I fed my baby some more in hopes that she'd calm back down, which she did. Janda was so gentle and patient with my girl. She had several wraps and an adorable outfit picked out for our session. She took her time and I never felt like she was rushing. She photographed many different poses and sets so we had a diverse gallery to choose from. The best part is that the gallery was ready to view later that afternoon! I am so happy with the photos Janda took of my little one!! We did his photos right at 2 months. I had really wanted to do newborn photos but my LO is a colic/reflux baby and spends a lot of his awake time crying so I didn't feel like we could. Picture Day. I've seen it on my calendar for months. It's been glaring at me straight in the face every time I review my calendar. I HATE PICTURE DAY, or at least I used to. We previously used Picture People to take photos of my girls. I have two young children, and pictures for us in the past have always been a disaster. Our half hour photo shoot used to resemble nothing short of a nightmare. I'm trying to fix them, pose them nicely, wipe that drool off my little one's face all while at the same time, the photographer is trying to "capture" a moment. The second I would rush in to "make adjustments" my youngest would want to follow me out. I was in near tears and my girls were already there, both a crying mess. I decided we needed to make a change. The pictures were not coming out good at all, because everyone was so stressed! These are not the moments I'd intended to capture with my girls. I decided to try something new. Sweet Sisters was recommend to me by a friend, and I had to give it a try. I was desperate at this point. Oh my goodness my experience with Sweet Sisters, was pure bliss!! I wish I could paint a picture for you, but just imagine a rainbow over what had been a very rainy day. It was very pleasant and stress-free. The pictures were planned for outdoors, which I think made a huge difference on my girls' mood. They hate being in small inclosed spaces. We walked along this cute little trail (I mean SUPER cute, we are already planning to go back for a picnic), the girls were happy and excited about our little walk. After a short while the photographer happily greets us on the trail. She was very friendly and made my girls feel at ease. Before the shoot started, she took the time to talk with them a bit, asking their names and how old they were. I think this small gesture really made my girls feel relaxed before the pictures. She had an assistant, yes AN ASSISTANT! I was shocked! She told me her helper (she was super fabulous as well), would do all the primping and adjustments needed. I pretty much just watched, while they did their thing. My girls were super good for them. They have never been that way with past photographers. They seemed to have the magic touch! I couldn't believe when she said it was all over! Say what?? My blood pressure hadn't even started to rise yet, I didn't even start in on my regular pleading "just take a good picture for momma, please!" It was all over, and we were done. I happily scooped up my girls and we took the cute trail back to our car. This all happened on Saturday and today is Monday. Sweet Sisters had a sneak peek for me ready when I arrived home from work! Wowzers! I was not expecting to see the picture so fast! You might be wondering how they came out? Stunning, unbelievable, and above and beyond!!! Her props and background just fit together perfectly. She captured the true meaning of sisterhood between my two girls. She photographed the images I see everyday at home, but yet is so hard to capture in the moment. I would highly recommend Sweet Sisters Photography to anyone who is looking for priceless images that will be forever treasured. read more
