The hotel was super generous with complimentary snacks and beverages (Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, L&P, Meadow Fresh milk, Cadbury Chocolate Fish, and variety of tea and coffee). The beds are huge size, but you are bound to get the bathroom floor wet after a shower because there is no bathroom door or curtain, just a glass divider that only comes half way. But I loved the ceiling shower head. The design of the hotel is terrible to navigate. We took the elevator since we all had luggages and ended up making a huge circle in order to find our hotel room, so imagine walking endlessly while wearing a backpack, dragging a luggage, and holding miscellaneous bads. There was a quicker way to get there, but we had to take the stairs. When we were checking out, we decided to just use the stairs. Luckily, there was a really nice staff member who carried my mom's luggage for her (what a gentleman). Breakfast was included, which was okay (just your typical continental breakfast). You can also order eggs to your liking. The congee was really watery and tasteless, so I put a lot of salt. They have this cute donut display where the donuts are hung on rods. But I didn't eat one because I didn't want to mess up the layout. I would have given this place 3-stars, but their service deserved an extra star.

Second, atmosphere: the hotel design seems straight out of the 1970s. The colors and furnishings have been updated but the feel is still like Hawaii in the 70s. We had a double queen room on the first floor that overlooked nothing. There was a large to floor window that seemed a bit unsafe for the first floor - street access with glass that can be easily broken. Room was clean with crisp bedding but the hotel needs some updating. Third, service: did not try any of the food so can't comment on that. The front desk personnel acknowledged IHG elite program status and explained all the benefits that applied. Internet worked well. Overall, the hotel is okay just as a 1 night stopover to/from airport. Stay elsewhere for longer stays.

We also ate at the bar --surprisingly, the food tasted pretty decent. The club sandwich was solid. Fries were okay. Side salad was decent. Pro tip: instead of paying $6 per person for a one way trip on the "yellow bus" (airport bus that takes you to/from a few of the hotels near the airport), just Uber for about $9 one way.

I took an Uber to the hotel from the airport as I've read mixed reviews of the shuttle/yellow bus service. It's not that far from the hotel but you definitely don't want to walk. It's in this industrial business park so kind of in a weird spot. Check in was a breeze because I paid online prior. Just needed to leave a credit card on file for incidentals. After a 9 hour flight from Honolulu, I was starving. They have a restaurant in house called Visaya which was closed when I got here. But they offer 24hr room service. Your food is delivered by a robot. It's awesome. Just had a burger and fries. Burger was great. Cooked well. But the fries were amazing. Just the right amount of crispy and seasoned to perfection. I think it came out to $45NZD which was reasonable to me as I also had a local beer. Would 100% try the restaurant/bar if I was staying longer. WiFi speeds were legit. But their mattresses are hard af. The room is small but clean. The price I paid was very reasonable for what I'm getting, especially given exchange rates right now. There are closer hotels to the airport but I would 100% recommend you give this place a try.

In fact, this is why we chose this hotel: it's right next to the Auckland airport, which makes it a great option for early flights. It's literally less than a 3 minute walk from the hotel entrance to the airport entrance. And the best part? You don't hear the planes at all - but you get the awesome views of the planes taking off from many rooms! ENTRY: The main floor is gorgeous, well-maintained, and elevated. There is a cafe on the first floor, and the front desk service was polite and efficient. ROOM: The room was sooooo nice. If we weren't on a speed race to see all of Auckland in a day, we would have slept in and been lazy in here. The bed was great, the room features were luxurious, the SHOWER was magical, and the layout was great for unpacking. Read other Yelp reviews and locked our suitcases with our own luggage because of things being stolen from other rooms. Internet: 200mg is "free" and you must pay additionally for wifi. Of course, this was not mentioned until AFTER that was all used. Safety: Did not feel safe, hygiene included. Location: Located in the middle of an industrial park. Has a free shuttle from the airport. 40 min ride to Auckland. Expect $40-60 Uber costs. Restaurant: Basically your only option if you do not have a car. Awful excuse for food, just don't eat here, period.

Horribly inflexible policies, staff providing contradicting information…read more Booked a room for a night via booking.com at a non-refundable rate, several weeks in advance. As my flight unexpectedly got changed a week before the stay I called them and politely asked whether they would make an exception and change my booking date to a few days later. Their staff confirmed that a room was available and that they had already received my payment. But I would have to go through booking.com to initiate the change of date because their IT doesn't allow a direct change. So I went to booking.com and requested the very same thing again. A day later I was told that my request was rejected by the hotel. So I reached out to them again and was rudely told that it's a non-refundable rate and so I would have to pay again. They also 'offered' me a laughable room upgrade which was about 20% more expensive than what they now sell the same room for, which I believe is quite greedy, so I said thanks, no. Several inquiries at booking.com and the hotel just let me run in circles without an ability to speak to a human so the overall experience with all their automated replies was quite stressful. I obviously made the mistake of not paying enough attention to the fine print that said 'non refundable' when booking. However, I was never looking for a refund, just a change of date, which doesn't create any costs on the hotel's side. I even would have been fine with a discounted rate or paying half of the costs as a compensation, but they decided go for the cash rather than having happy customers. Lesson learned: Stay away from that place and never book a room at Jet Park Hotel Auckland again.

I enjoyed a leisurely shower (lots of amenities - makeup remover, lotions, washes, etc) and relaxed with the CD player and Tchaikovsky album (they could use a larger selection in rooms). I should have taken advantage of the pillow menu for an aromatherapy pillow, but the ones on the bed were fine. Large and comfortable bed, a desk and an easy chair, lots of lighting. No street or airport noise. A pleasant and relaxing evening mid-travel. I found a lending library with a good number of books on the 2nd floor - perhaps other floors have them, too. Return shuttle was on-time and quick - about ten minutes door-to-door. Room service breakfast was delivered slightly early, and was a really good deal: 23 NZD for a full cooked breakfast with toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, juice, and coffee/tea. The lobby to the motel was staffed by a guy that was friendly enough, but it was dingy and disappointing. Sadly, it was way nicer than our room, which was nothing better than a glorified hostel. Actually, most hostels I've stayed in were nicer than this room. The room itself had bars across the bathroom window and a sliding door that opened onto the car park (not awesome for creating a sense of safety). There were holes in the walls, a door handle missing from the bathroom door, large patches of wall that had holes and never been repainted. The beds were springy (in a bad way) and I was actually scared to get under the blanket/comforter. We gathered up the troops and went to eat dinner in the hotel. The decor looked like it would have been nice about 30 years ago. There was pool table and large screen TV lounge area. We ordered chicken/fries for my 3-year-old and asked that it be brought out promptly, in order to avoid little person meltdown. This was done, and we snacked off his plate. My husband and I ordered butter chicken. We waited for over 45 minutes and our food still hadn't arrived. By then, we hit meltdown anyway and asked that they provide our meals in a takeaway box. We waited still 10-20 more agonizing meltdown minutes. They finally brought out the boxes. My husband took the kids to the room and I went to the hotel lobby to pay for the food. I went back to the room and was utterly disgusted by what was provided. I had a whole six pieces of bite-sized chicken, a papardum that was the consistency of wax paper and some lettuce. All for the bargain price of $21. I was fuming by now. We asked if we could move rooms and they said they were completely full and we couldn't move. I took the nasty papardum back to the hotel lobby. The hostess asked, "How can I help you?" I said nothing and showed her the gross food. She apologized, walked me back to the dining room, told the waiter it was "not acceptable," and asked me if I wanted a replacement. I said, "Not if this is what it's going to be replaced with." She told the waiter to "bring out the best." Why would this have to even be an instruction?!?! Shouldn't you already be providing your customers the best you have? So, I waited another 10 minutes for more papardums. The second set actually resembled the food they were meant to be, and tasted fine and had a normal texture that you might expect. All in all, it was not worth the $150 I paid to stay here. Not by a way long shot. I would never stay here again. I would never recommend anyone else to ever stay here. Whatever your concerns with money may be, no matter how cheaply you are trying to get by, this place is not where you want to put your money. Trust me.

I called to book a room as we had a friend arriving on a late flight from the USA and we were flying out to the south Island early the next morning. We just needed a bed. I booked on line and received a confirmation via email. The place is a bit run down and I didn't find the staff that friendly, The room was a bit tired and cramped, 1 double bed and a single, but it was clean and just what we needed. We paid for the night when we checked in so we could be away early the next day. A month later I get charged for a room again. I have called twice and each time I am put through to someone else and they have taken my details but no one has called me back. The third time I called I was put through to 2 different people and then asked to call back after 7pm when the managers would be back. Each call is a toll call. I told them I would not and that I would email. No response to the first email. I have sent another one today plus started the procedure to reverse the charge on my credit card. So far no one from the Pacific Inn has contacted me. I will never return or recommend this place. Update. Finally they hotel got in contact and refunded the second charge.
