Beautiful property. The public spaces were decorated tastefully and open air ability really helped enjoy the weather. Fish served breakfast which was nice however the service was hit and miss. Requests for refills had to be done multiple times regardless of how busy there were. The food was good, nothing spectacular. Only did the breakfast buffet. There wasn't any variation on the buffet so, if you want different stuff everyday may want to dine out. The bar area on the first floor I popped in for a quick espresso and was easy and quick. The room was amazing. I was facing the north side which I'd almost prefer. The harbor side was obstructed anytime a cruise ship was there. Thursday morning for example the breakfast are was a bit darker as the ship blocked the sun. Be cautious of this if selecting a room on that side. The room was more spacious than anticipated and I would have loved to test out that tub. lol the shower was interesting, tried the rain showe head on the ceiling and they need to clean/unclog it as some nozzles weren't working or were spraying all different ways. Similar with the hand held shower head, the gaskets to keep in place need to be reviewed as it would slide down during the shower. Other item is the bathroom mirror. From the looks of it, there is or should be a light feature to help see. Sadly this room did not have that feature turned on, which means only the overhead light and that wasn't sufficient. If you are someone who puts on makeup, this room would not work. Other thank that Angky who was there upon my arrival was wonderful along with the rest of the staff.

The Hilton is located in a prime location, making for some spectacular views. When we checked into the hotel at midnight, it was very quick. The room was relatively small considering the cost be paid for it. When booking we booked for three people and nowhere at the time did it say the third bed would be a rollaway. Upon coming into our room, it was only two sleeping spots, and then a third bed was rolled into the room and then we didn't have much space at all. Besides the views I have stayed in Holiday Inns better than this hotel. I've given a choice I would've picked the Park Hyatt instead. Also note this hotel is a considerable walk from anything except a handful of very quiet restaurants on the other side of the peer. Another annoying thing is that around 6 am every day, all the ferries and ships that which are moving anywhere, feel the need to blow their fog horn for a significant amount of time waking you up. No, I only gave it a three star because of the location and views.

Room was ok. Indian receptionist could use training. There was no acknowledgement or appreciation for Diamond. I had to bring up benefits for Diamond. Check in was poorly handled. The harbor view was blocked by ship twenty feet away till 7.30 pm. Next day mega ship arrived at 5.30 am. Extremely noisy. Not worth the price you pay. Do not stay at this location.

My stay at the Hilton Auckland was a very pleasant stay. My check in was smooth. My customer service experience from mimoko was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was great as well. Clean and comfortable bed. I enjoy being in the room. This will be my place to stay when I come back to Auckland.

This hotel is the cream of the crop, from the moment I stepped in I was treated so well. I arrived on a long flight, tired and ready for a shower/nap. They made sure to get me to my room and even had a welcome snack and drinks in the room. The room was beautiful, large balcony facing the harbor. Well stocked bar with lots of amenities. The coffee her is amazing... yum yum! Really love my adorable stuffed kiwi friend! The bed was ridiculously comfortable, the first night I though it was just because I was so tired but no it's really one of the best beds I have ever slept in. The location is like no other, on its own pier... with amazing views. Do you self a favor and stay here when in town.. you deserve it!

Great location! At the end of the pier next to ferries and great access to other transportation needs. Plenty of restaurants and shop. We were upgraded to a harbor view which was great. For diamond members -unfortunately no executive lounge. We were given two vouchers per night for their Bellini Bar locates on the ground floor. There's a separate menu for those vouchers. Complimentary buffet breakfast at fish with the option of a free add on of eggs any style. No barista coffee included it comes at an additional cost. The concierge service was fantastic! They were so helpful. They made several calls for tours for us and were able to come up with solutions for us when tours were booked. The room was nice and clean no complaints there. Food was okay and dinner at their in house restaurant Fish was amazing although pricey!

Loved the hotel and the room after the first day. Beautiful view of the harbor and docks, spacious bathroom with an excellent tub, very good restaurant and location. Alas, a humongous cruise ship docked. Our view is no more. In addition they're unloading garbage, loading supplies, doing outside maintenance and the noise is deafening.

Thank you for the free upgrade to the ocean front view! We spent two days here on our 3 week honeymoon. The service was fantastic, we were surprised with free chocolate and drinks. Also got a table by the water for breakfast which was incredible! I would recommend getting the Hilton Aspire credit card because it gave got us Diamond Status which is one of the reasons why I think we got the upgraded room. Plus we were able to use points to stay here for free. The location was fantastic because it was only a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal to Waiheke Island. Would definitely stay here again. Plus the view of the Auckland Skyline at night from right outside is romantic.

Pretty much the top of the heap, only retraction it's at the end of the pier if your walking. Most startling is how freindly EVERYONE is here. From house keeping to door men, everyone makes a point to say hello. Bar staff is super nice and helpful but the wine pours are on the smaller side. Sometime you get nibbles sometimes not. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and the highlight, perhaps missed, is the conserves/preserves house made. Breakfast does not change so after two days, better to get coffee and take it on the road.

While this hotel is beautiful and in a great location, PLEASE don't bother booking a room with a water-front view. You'll get a note in your room when you arrive that there is a cruise ship docked outside your room and that you should "keep your blinds shut when in the room." Additionally, if you have a car with you, you will be forced to pay 45 NZD per day with no other option other than parking your car yourself for 48 NZD per day further down the street.

Lovely location, great rooms, and friendly courteous service. What more to ask for. My room is modern, with an ultra comfy bed, amazing view of the harbor, and the bathroom has a large tub and encased glass shower. I highly recommend this hotel.

Awesome place. I was lucky enough to stay here in December 2015 just a few weeks after they completed a major renovation. The new decor is modern, beautiful, and very comfortable. The views of the harbor are wonderful. The staff a very friendly and attentive. I'd would be quite happy to live here!

Excellent location right on the pier!

The gym is quite small and had one broken treadmill that didn't have a sign so I'm not sure if staff are aware of it. Our rooms didn't include breakfast, but we were excited to try it. We ended up disappointed because the hostess gave us two menus and told us to sit anywhere. There's prices for a la carte and buffet and we opted for the buffet and just went up to get food. A staff member stopped us and asked if we were doing the buffet and then told us she'd bring us the bill so we could sign our room. It felt like maybe a staff member should have brought us to our seat and asked us what we wanted to prevent being stopped at the food counter and having guest and staff play a guessing game. The breakfast selection is mediocre. Another table was sat and the staff member who stopped us was quick to go to their table and explain the menu choices to them so I'm not sure if it's a lack of consistency or if they need more staff during the breakfast shift because it seemed like it was just her and the hostess working. Staff was also slow to clear tables.

After reviewing the map of the Auckland central business district (CBD) and where the Sky Tower was, I knew I wanted to stay by the harbor, with a view and reasonably priced. That's when I came across M Social Viaduct Harbor. From Google Maps and looking at YouTube videos, the hotel was in the midst of it all. My first encounter with them was a few weeks earlier when I learned that M Socials last check-in time was midnight. Unfortunately, because my flight was schedule to land at 9:45 pm, having to get through customs and waiting for Uber, we'd be cutting it close. So I emailed M Social and they assured me that we could check-in after midnight, no rush since they knew how long customs could take. What a relief. When we got there, a little after 11 pm, I was told our room was upgraded to the 12th floor which is the highest floor. I was told "The harbor view is great up there." And it is!!! All the rooms face the harbor and all rooms have a view!!! The higher you are the better the view. And when we got to our room, we had a signed card from the employees along with Easter candy because I didn't realize it was Easter weekend when I booked our flights. The room was clean with modern and youthful aesthetic. And the price? I can't believe it is one of the least expensive hotels along the harbor. It was between $129 - $189/night. Of course, Weekends are higher price. And, laundry is free. We just had to pay for laundry detergent. No dryer sheets in Auckland, though. People in NZ said I had an American accent. But they're the ones with accents... lol. Auckland is also a melting pot. The front staff were mainly Filipino, Vietnamese, and Chinese. So they had their native accent along with the English accent. But everyone was so kind to us. And they have a restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night socializing. Although we only had apps and drinks, the food was really good and non-alcoholic drinks were refreshing. As much as I want to gatekeep M Social, I also want to praise the staff members and hope everyone can enjoy your time staying at this wonderful establishment.
