I was visiting NYC and really wanted to get something for myself from this store. First, if you use the maps feature on your phone, it will direct you to their corporate office with no distinction it's not the retail store. That was frustrating as we wasted $20 on a cab only to find out it was the corporate office. We get another cab and head to Grand Central Terminal which is the other location listed online. Their website states that store location is open 11am-6pm on Sundays but when we arrived the store was closed. Another $20 wasted on a cab. Using the maps feature on my phone it showed the Grand Central location was in fact closed that day. This store needs to get this sorted because store hours are wrong on their own website and also try clearing up how locations are listed online with addresses so potential customers know which is corporate and which is the retail location. I'm out $40 in cab fares and all I wanted was a nice souvenir from our trip to NYC. read more

I've never worn gold vermeil, this was a first. While the products are stunning (four pendants & one chain necklace) I had an immediate allergic reaction to both the gold vermeil & sterling silver (other charms ordered). I'm not allergic to silver, so I'm unsure why this is happening & what metals are being mixed in otherwise. The overall packaging is cute, yet horribly packed. All four charms arrived extremely scratched up & this shouldn't be happening if they're quality metals. Hopefully I can get a refund because these are unwearable with my allergies & a waste just sitting in their original box. I see no value in something that scratches this easily, before wear & for this price tag. It's a shame because these charms are truly beautiful & memorable. I kept seeing this business on Facebook and saw they had a location in Grand Central Station, near the Lexington Avenue entrance. I made a note to search it out my next visit to NY. My daughter knew about the business from holiday pop ups. But this Grand Central location is their first store front. If you love to travel or know someone who does, you can find a wonderful gift of jewelry for them. Many of the charms are images of passport stamps from all over the world. There are also charms of unique items found in that country. The one that made me laugh was a charm of a crab and a pair of chopsticks next to it -- it's for Singapore and it's their spicy crab!!! Charms are in various sizes. Gold or silver. Kelly helped me select early holiday gifts and birthday gifts. So not only are the charms cute, but the packaging it over the top! What color box do you want? Do you like the saying in the box? The charm is in a tissue paper folded pocket, tucked into a cloth envelope and then into the box. The box is encased in tissue paper and put into a cute shopping bag with a tag that matches the box color. Omg. Charms start at about $38 for silver. I love Jet Set Candy. Their products are gorgeous and unique with a high attention to detail from their packaging all the way down to each tiny chain (on the steamer trunk charm) or spinning wheel (on the taxi charm). I have quite a few pieces now, but really love my NYC spinner and wear it on an interchangeable bracelet constantly. Plus, when the clasp released on me a few times while wearing it, their customer service team couldn't have been nicer, and sent a replacement. I found this business through Instagram and really thought it was creative. They create jewelry pieces involving destinations including luggage tags and passport stamps. And all in 14k gold which was important to me. Brilliant! I was immediately sold. Please keep in mind that this was MY experience and mine alone. I ordered one passport stamp and one luggage tag. The products are nice but here are four things that I gripe about. First, I ordered online and I completely forgot to use the promo code that was offered during that time. I quickly message via Instagram and email. Silence. I finally decided to call. The promo code only applied to one item but not to the other which wasn't true because when I added other items to my cart and used the code, it worked for both. I should've taken a photo of it to show them but I didn't. Second, in my experience, customer service was slow. No one responded to my insta message or email in a timely manner so I had to call them. Granted it was the weekend but I'm accustomed to other business respond within a few hours no matter what day. Asking too much? Perhaps. Third, it was more than 7 business days and I still didn't receive notification that my order was shipped. So again, I called and they told me that it would be shipped that day. Hmmmmm....This leads me to believe that they completely forgot about it. Unfortunate. Fourth, when I received my items, I had not realized just how small the pieces would be. The luggage tag is bigger than the passport but that's not saying a lot. Despite the specs noted, all the images I saw made me believe that they were bigger. Therefore, I don't think the pieces justify the cost even though it's 14k gold. If I had to place dollar signs like restaurant guides do, I'd put it as $$$$. That said, they are still beautiful pieces. I think in person experience might have been better than online but that doesn't take away from the creative offerings. And though I hesitate to make another online transaction, I'd definitely consider going to the store and picking up additional pieces during special deals and promo offerings. read more

Jet Set Candy is a very cute boutique store located inside Grand Central Station. I love the charms they offer along with the chain length choices available. I love representing myself so I have personally bought the Hong Kong passport and the NY love key . I really wished they had an Albany tag as I am an upstate girl. I love the airplane design on the side of the chain. It is super cute. I actually met the owner, Nicole not realizing one time and she is super sweet and humble. In this time where being a business owner is very tough, we need to be kind and be more supportive to business owners. Her staff of girls are always very informative and energetic. I'm a latecomer to Jet Set candy. I first discovered them in 2019 thanks to one of those (normally pesky) Instagram ads. When I placed my first order for a charm bracelet bundle that included five passport charms I was cautiously optimistic that the actual items would look half as good as the online photographs. Fast forward to my fifth order and probably 20th charm and I absolutely could not be more of a fan. Everything Jet Set does is First Class (or at least international business class), from the beautiful packaging to the variety of products, quality of the jewelry, excellent customer service and the awesome inventiveness of their movable charms. My son purchased a necklace for me for Mother's Day and paid $60 with shipping for it. 3 months later he has still not arrived and they do not respond to him when he requests status of his order.
