Parked here to do some fishing with my kids, enjoy the beach, as well as eat. It was hard fishing due to the strong winds moving your line to the rocks but I'm also not an experienced fisher so most likely just need some instruction. I find that jetty parks are typically less aggressive waves this one was more like what you would normally find at any regular beach but it was still beautiful even with all the seaweed washing up to shore. You can swim past the layer of it too no biggie. My son is into finding sea creatures and found a lil snail buddy for temporary company. Parking is free and places to eat nearby make it pretty accommodating.

This is a beautiful park with swings and cute benches along your walk ...great place to go walking, watch the sunsets, do some fishing or go to the beach, there is free parking to walk to restaurants ...definitely a great place to read a book or walk your pet!

Such a beautiful park, was there for 4 hours enjoying the view. Tanja at the entrance was incredibly kind.

Instead of an excursion come here for part of the day and spend the other part of the day on an empty ship, no lines for the ropes course on MSC ships. I was able to walk here from my cruise ship. Depending on where you dock it would no more than a 15 minute walk.

Of all the beaches I visited, Jetty Park Beach on the south edge of Hutchinson Island was the busiest. The views of the Ft. Pierce inlet are beautiful but the main reason people visit this park is to fish for snook, jack crevalle, sheepshead, snapper, ladyfish and more. Park amenities at Jetty Park Beach include free parking, restrooms, covered picnic pavilions, bench swings, gazebos, and beach access. Lining the inlet is memorial plaques on the rocks. While I love the beach I also enjoyed discovering art and history in the park. Mosaic benches made by local artists and honoring this areas fishing history are placed throughout the park. There are also four historical interpretive signs detailing the WWII history of this area. The Fort Pierce Amphibious Training Base opened in Fort Pierce on Jan. 26, 1943 to train soldiers for WWII. The base trained the soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. Obstacles like the ones the Germans were placing to stop the Allied Forces during the war were put in the water off the shore of Ft. Pierce so boat drivers could practice eluding them and teams could practice blowing them up. At Omaha Beach one Fort Pierce based unit lost 33 men but were able to destroy 5 of the obstacles. More than 140,000 military personnel trained in St. Lucie County from 1943 to 1945, when at the time there were only 20,000 area residents. The objects remained in the water long after people started using the beach for recreation. Unfortunately some people were injured and in 1991 the government did a national cleanup of former military bases during which time the objects were removed and some were given to the SEAL Museum created by long term democratic Florida senator Claude Pepper. Across the street and close to the park are places to get frozen drinks, food, and ice cream at Taco Dive, Island Beach Bar and Restaurant, Square Grouper Tiki Bar, and Manatee Island Ft. Pierce Bar and Grill. This is the ultimate beach park in Ft. Pierce to enjoy a full day of fun in the sun where you have everything you need right here to catch a sunrise or sunset, eat and drink, fish, swim, picnic, lounge on the beach, or uncover a little WWII history.

Beautiful area! We had perfect weather to walk around and check out the beach. The area has lots of photo ops too. Pelicans like to hangout there as well.

Nice beautiful park; even had a swing by the water. Shops and restaurants close by. Well worth the stop along the shoreline.

Family oriented beach. Water very shallow and calm. My granddaughter loves it here. They have an aquarium, playground, adult swings and restaurants near by.

This is a beautiful place on the water where you can watch the boats, swing on a swing, and cook on the grills. Also has a pavilion. There's also a wide concrete walkway along the water to the rustic pier. There are restaurants nearby also. Hotels range from around 150 per night and up. Very nice place to relax. Parking is free and plenty of people fishings. On the Jetty, there are memorial plaques of people that died what a nice touch to remember the loved one.

Jetty Beach is small however there is lots of free parking and it has great views of the inlet. The bench swings were an excellent idea. I wish other beaches in Broward and the Palm Beaches would add bench swings. It was a beautiful day. Everyone was socially distancing and there was a normal amount if people for a Saturday. My one hour walk was peaceful and relaxing. Next time I'd like to explore the area more.

Beautiful park and fishing pier with a nice walkway to the jetty with gorgeous views in all directions. Lots of fishermen and opportunistic, entertaining pelicans trying to snag the fishermen's catches. There are memorial plaques, other types of birds and the wonderful ocean air and energy along the path to alter your mindset for the better and provide a nice respite from the stress of city life and work. And there are some nice restaurants close by if you worked up an appetite.

I really want to say this place sucks to keep it from becoming over populated with a bunch of insta hype people posing all over the beach for photos they'll post on IG once a week saying "take me back" BUT I'm not gonna do that. This beach is gorgeous. Quiet, clean, has free parking, great restaurants close by and other parks/beach access available. We live further south and made the trip up just for this beach. P.S. Not really important but the minivan with the extra dark possibly illegal tints, driven by 3 ladies who left their bags in said minivan allegedly had their window broken in and stuff stolen. Not really the beaches fault just means some humans like to fuck things up for everyone else, so lock up and don't leave valuables in the car.

Great place to go for a walk or grab a bite to eat from one of the nearby restaurants. Rated 4 stars due to alot of trash everywhere.

The park is open 8 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year and the cost is $2 per vehicle payable in a box on the honor system. The more than one mile beach in this park provides a safe habitat for wildlife like the threatened and endangered loggerhead, Atlantic green, and leatherback sea turtles who nest on the beach during the spring and summer. While this beach is popular with nesting sea turtles, people love it too. Swimmers, surfers, snorkelers, anglers, and sunbathers flock here for unspoiled beach recreation. Park amenities include a restroom, picnic pavilion, and shower station. This is the perfect spot for a quieter beach day free from crowds. This part of Fort Pierce was once a naval training base during WWII where sailors practiced with high-explosive rockets, bombs, and underwater demolitions. It is important to note that underwater obstacles left behind by amphibious warfare exercises are still being recovered to this day.

The sand and water here is absolutely amazing, so on this beautiful Saturday with temperatures in the mid 80's there's no other conclusion I can come up with. There were only six other people on the beach when I pulled into the parking lot, seems a little odd so maybe it's the mere fact it's a State Park although I didn't see any Park Rangers to collect the fee, only a small money box attached to a post. The dunes are filled with native grasses, and the two paths leading to the beach are short so packing a few chairs and a cooler is a breeze. I can't make the claim that this is the absolute best beach in the area but seriously are there really any bad beaches - clean water, silky sand, and no crowds can't say I need much more than that...
