He listened to my high-level vision, walked me through how various designs will wear long-term, and then designed an amazingly beautiful custom setting in platinum with several carats of bling that truly showcase her stone. It is truly one of a kind. She is absolutely thrilled with it and everyone is asking her where she got it designed. This might sound like a small thing but in the past I've used three different jewelry stores and they could never seem to get the sealing gasket back in right. (I even had one of them accuse me of bringing them a watch that had already been leaking so therefore I couldn't prove they were at fault.) Second, I had an old-school, "gold nugget" watch that had been sitting in my dresser for 25 years. It had been bequeathed to me and it wouldn't fit because the band was too small. I had also taken this watch to several jewelers over the years to see if they could get a clasp extension for the back. Each of them said it was not possible. However, I showed it too Alex and he tried 17 different clasps and had several watch companies send him things to try. He finally found clasp and it literally fits my wrist PERFECTLY. It's really a cool old watch and I'm so grateful for his persistence to make it wearable again!

I took my clock to Bryant and he cleaned and oiled it and ran it for a week to make sure it was keeping good time. So now it's extremely accurate for a cuckoo clock.

Renee is very knowledgeable and gifted. I had some pendants that I wanted put into a ring. She was able to combine two pieces and design this amazing ring. She can repair anything from a watch to an expensive piece of jewelry. She also has a lot of beautiful unique pieces of jewelry in her shop. Highly recommend this amazing lady. I wanted my mother's wedding ring reset with stones for display in her columbarium and Renee was able to do the work for me in a very timely manner. She is a pleasure to work with and is very knowledgeable about vintage and antique jewelry, and the shop has a beautiful selection of old jewelry. Prices are very reasonable and the repair work is excellent, they were able to find parts for my early 1950's Omega and get it running like new! Mine required extensive repair, especially if I expected to wear the ring daily. Richard Hannon explained thoroughly what needed to be done. Even though my piece is small and they don't stand to make much money from the work they will do for me I know it will be perfect when it comes back because of the attention to detail they give each piece. Warren Hannon has a gorgeous selection of diamonds and gem stones. His cases are well-stocked with beautiful sparklers, I can't imagine not being able to find the perfect piece. Whether it's a custom design you're after or buying a stock item, Richard has it all including the ability to create something beautiful. My wedding set is custom designed by WH and it turned out even better than I imagined it would...although my ring is nearly 15 years old...if I were custom designing a piece today I wouldn't have to imagine it. While we were in the store Richard showed us his latest toy - computer software that he can use to design the perfect piece right before your eyes. He showed us how he could take any ring he has in stock, enter the ring's code into the computer, and then manipulate it to make it exactly what the customer wants. One more thing - I don't think the staff has changed much in the last 20 or so years (since I've been paying attention). How many retail establishments can say that? Will I go back? Absolutely. I wish I had more occasions to treat myself beautiful jewelry.
