I believed her but the flower did not show up at the cemetery. I was told that they did not receive it. I call the flower company and I was informed that the plant had been delivered. I still do not know what happen to the flower. Services was on August 1, 2026 at 10:00 am. I have checked the Funeral Home page each day to read my sister,s obituary without any luck seeing it. Today, August 16, 2026, the funeral home has published pictures and obituaries of other members. One on August 3, 2026. I ask the family did they request that the obituary not be published and was told no, it should be published by now. Now , more than ever I wonder if something happen to my sister and they were unable to show her picture. What happen that her obituary is not published and what happen to my flower?

We cannot stop sharing the excellent service we received from Mr Houston and his team. They delivered high-quality customer service from the moment we walked in for the meeting with Mr Houston to the moment we stepped out of the limousine at the repass location. Mr. Houston was welcoming, warm, and friendly. He was very transparent during our discussion about the finances. We wanted to purchase our casket from another source and Mr. Houston was very accommodating of our wishes. He took the time to explain different types of cemeteries and interment systems so that we were able to make well-educated decisions. The information was clear and had no tricky fine print in the contract. The pleasant, homely ambience of the funeral home encouraged us the celebrate our dad's life rather than mourning a loss. Due to the pandemic, accommodation is restricted to 30-35 persons in the funeral home, which was fine for our family. We were very pleased with the dressing and makeup of the body. We used a Christian minister and a vocalist provided by the funeral home. I am a Christian and was not sure how well a funeral home preacher would deliver. Again, they delivered beyond our expectations. The minister skillfully blended our family cultures in his message to us. The vocalist was anointed, to say the least. Another wow moment for us was seeing the program presentation when we arrived for the service. CHFH created an impressive program on glossy 11 by 17 paper, definitely a keepsake. Mr Houston has a spirit of excellence that permeates every aspect of his business. My family is happy we worked with him and do not hesitate to recommend CHFH.

I can't bear to describe the details, but the family had no choice but to request the casket be closed. This request seemed to irritate the funeral director to no end. He got very defensive when the family expressed dissatisfaction. My husband finally had to tell them, "Either YOU close the casket or I will". We ended up having the casket closed. The next day, at graveside, they provided a small bunch of carnations for the attendees to lay upon the casket. The flowers ran out, and the staff started pulling random flowers out of the gift arrangements to give to the guests. Definitely low-rent. There's more, but you get the point: Very poor preparation of the deceased; lousy attitudes dealing with bereaved families; poor planning of details such as graveside flowers (and cheap ones, to boot). I suggest going elsewhere.
