There's also a viewing room upstairs and another viewing area downstairs, so parents can easily watch their kids during practice. One wonderful thing about this center is that the little ones get to explore the big gymnastics area with real equipment and see real gymnasts practicing. They can touch, feel, play some of the equipments (with their parents ofcourse) It's so inspiring for them! The younger kids, together with their parents, can observe and learn from the older kids. One moment that really amazed me was when I was downstairs watching my kids and saw little girls doing kettlebell exercises. I was like, "Is this for real? Wow!" They're not just playing -- they are actually working out and building physical strength from a young age. I also love how they rotate leadership among the kids during group activities. You can see the little girls taking turns leading their group, which helps build confidence and teamwork. Using a real gymnastics facility with real equipment, and allowing younger kids to see older kids train, is incredibly motivating. It creates such a positive and inspiring environment. She was practically dancing the day she was born…read more K.I.T.A was the first place we tried out, because the other reviews and times for classes didn't work for me. She loved it and she's been dancing here ever since. She took the creative movement class, then went into the ballet/tap class, then tried the hip hop class and back to ballet/tap. I love Ms.Katie, she really takes the time to show and teach the kids the positions and choreography. When she took the hip hop class she didn't enjoy as much as she did with ballet/tap, and I think it was because of the teacher. The teacher was young and didn't seem to know how to actually teach, she may be be a great dancer but teaching the young kids takes patience and knowledge. The kids seemed to be just playing freeze dance a lot during the last 15minutes than actually learning morning. When Ms. Chelsea went into the class and helped this other student teacher out, the kids seemed like they were actually learning and having fun. I was kind of annoyed for a while about that teacher to be honest, but wanted to give her the benefit of a doubt that she can actually teach. But Ms. Katie and Ms. Chelsea stepped in and helped the students understand the movements and choreography they needed to learn. The only reason I gave them 4stars was because of the hip hop class, but overall, my daughter loves K.I.T.A. My younger daughter wants to join hip hop and ballet/tap too. I just wish they had more classes for the younger ones after work hours so I can actually bring them, but I also understand, you can't please everyone. Many pros include Spanish immersion, delicious home-cooked meals and snacks, beautifully-curated indoor and outdoor areas, diverse group of children from all over CoCo County, thoughtful curriculum for all ages and developmental stages, and wonderfully engaging activities and monthly/seasonal themes. We also loved the various events throughout the year like the Holiday Pageant and the Halloween Parade and Trunk or Treat. Our family couldn't be more grateful for the care our children received from HLF from their opening in 2020 until 2023! Center is always clean, organized, and kid-focused. The staff are reliable and trustworthy. And I'll never forget the special graduation ceremony held for my post-COVID graduates :) My kids were ready for Kindergarten both academically and socially and they still treasure memories and friendships from their HLF days. Another bonus is they offer occasional Parents Night Out babysitting events that are open to currently enrolled kids and alumni. Only, very tiny cons include: They hold a very high tolerance for badly-behaved children, some of which become physically violent. My children told us stories of kids who would throw toys and push and hurt other children, but there seemed to be no reprocussion because the poorly-behaved children still attend the school. Also, my kids mentioned a few instances of being teased and seeing others teased by the owner's son and he didn't receive any discipline or redirection. Not deal-breakers by any means, but want to give a 100% honest review. Overall, would I recommend HLF? ABSOLUTELY and without hesitation.

He peered into the windows of the studio one day and we met Sifu Mike. We felt welcome right away. I've watched my son grow into a more confident and respectful young man over the past year. He loves Kung Fu and looks forward to class. Sifu Mike is his favorite as he enjoys the humor and good nature that he has with the kids. It is a great reason to get out of the house for all of us. There are events for the families often and they embrace community. I hope that he continues on his Kung Fu journey throughout his life. I know that with One Tribe as his start there is a good chance of that happening.
