Long-time member. Deeply disappointed…read more I've been a loyal member of this club for almost 10 years, and it's disappointing to see how little they value long-term customers. When I first joined, I paid top dollar for a membership that included the ability to pause my account for business trips or medical reasons which I hardly ever needed to-- something I specifically asked about before signing up and choosing that one package that offered that feature. A couple of years ago, they changed their policy mid-contract, removing the ability to pause memberships, even for legitimate medical issues. Despite my doctor providing documentation with two different surgeries, I was simply told there were "no exceptions." After a decade of loyalty, that response said it all. Over the years, my wife also joined as a full member, and one of our kids took swim lessons here for years -- which are not cheap. Between all of us, we've put a lot of money into this place. But apparently, loyalty and good faith don't mean anything anymore. Beyond the customer service, the facility itself has gone downhill. When machines are out of order. You should expect it will be for months at a time (3-6 months isn't unusual), and every rainy season the roof leaks -- they literally have buckets set up to catch water. I refer to them as the "annual rain buckets". The irony is that the owners are construction contractors, yet they can't seem to maintain their own building. After almost a decade and spending a lot of money, I've decided to take my family's business elsewhere. It's unfortunate -- this could be a great place, but it's clear they've stopped caring about their members.

It has more of a family style vibe no judgment whether you're brand new or a seasoned lifter. They send surveys, front desk calls to follow up to acknowledge but that's it. A couple months ago I even showed the front desk a cockroach in the women's sauna. I can say they are trying to keep it clean or at least trying now then when I first started but that's why I started to hate this place. Like no one cares that there's a huge hole in the wall or a leak down the weight room and now the weight room being unavailable. And the phone signal is non existent so you rely on their spotty wifi. Advice: when you have circumstances as such, bring in an extra smith or cable machine, buy new locker rooms mats, or more workers to freshen up the restrooms more frequently. You don't have these problems at other gyms that have management that care. Simple things like soap dispensers should have soap not days where you're checking which sink has hand soap. Last note: clean under the sauna bench. Try and do better because I can't wait to cancel my membership here.

He genuinely loves going to the gym and has made noticeable improvements in his strength, conditioning, and overall athletic performance. The coaches do a great job tracking his progress, providing helpful advice, and keeping him motivated. The environment is positive, encouraging, and focused on helping each athlete improve. We highly recommend Train Smarter + Harder to any young athlete looking to get stronger, build confidence, and take their performance to the next level.

Nearly every piece of equipment with padding now has cracked or torn upholstery, which gives the impression that maintenance has been neglected. I am also concerned about security. My locker has been broken into twice, and when I reported the incidents, I was told by a front desk employee that the security footage could not be shared. While I understand there may be privacy policies regarding video footage, having my locker broken into on two separate occasions without any apparent resolution is extremely frustrating. I would appreciate an explanation of what steps are being taken to improve the condition of the equipment and address the security concerns so that members can feel confident using the facility.

Generally good for a family…read more Tennis director and coaches are excellent but management doesn't support them properly. 1. Management refuses to allow outside players join USTA teams. There are ways to accommodate outside players that would be profitable for the club and allow DH captains to field more competitive teams. Membership would rise and DH players would be able to win more. 2. After refusing to set up the bubble during the rainy season management will not invest in proper relatively inexpensive water removal equipment such as the Vaptor. Many private clubs and even a number of public courts have this technology. DH is not up to speed in this area. USTA events would be kept on schedule better. Club coaches would be able to teach more and club players would be able to play more. 3. The courts are the poorest numbered courts in NorCal. Even high school and public park courts are better numbered. Presently one court is not numbered at all and other court numbers are hidden in alcoves. The numbers are on gates which, when open, hide the number completely. No numbers are on the inside of courts where numbers usually are located. Additionally the court sequence is illogical and confusing. Court 1 is on the middle line of courts while court 2 jumps to another line. Courts 1 & 2 are not adjacent. Visitors, USTA officials, and even club players are confused and inconvenienced by this lack of proper court numbering and the illogical sequencing. The above 3 issues are easy to rectify and inexpensive. It is poor management not to do so. It is especially surprising that these simple inexpensive changes are not made given that the owners were extremely high level tennis players themselves. They should better support the avid club players and excellent coaches.

I've trained with Coach Fresh and Coach Vince at another gym before, and they are by far some of the warmest, most encouraging, and most importantly, the most knowledgeable coaches I've ever worked with. Which is why when I saw they had a new location I was quick to drop by. They truly know their stuff. The facility is clean, well-equipped with plenty of weights to choose from, and the run path is nice and flat. Also, the website was easy to book a class.
