So this was the first time I had a Chinese, reflexology massage and it was much needed. As a nurse I work 12 hour shifts and as a result generally carry tension and knots. The first 30 minutes were a foot reflexology massage and it was great. They bring you to a chair in a dim room, offer hot tea or water then soak your feet before the massage. Once that was done I had an hour body and this got interesting for me. The masseuse spent a good portion massaging over the sheet, which I found odd. Also he was very flexible with my underwear which was a little disconcerting as I kept them on as a barrier. All in all, I did feel better and would likely recommend them. read more

When I arrived, all of the communal area seats were taken with people getting feet treatments. I had a 60 min deep tissue session. The masseuse was on time, used the right amount of pressure (for the most part), and I left pretty satisfied with the treatment. My sister and I treated ourselves to foot massages in celebration of Galantines Day. We were dining at Cultivate for brunch so selected Jiao since it wasn't too far from the restaurant. We made reservations in advance for 3. On the day of our appointment, we were running late due to Cultivate taking longer than expected, we were about 10 minutes late and I called while I was driving to the spa and explained what occurred. I personally felt horrible because I hate being late for appointments and wanted to make sure we received our full hour which I knew wasn't guaranteed if we arrived late. Anyway, when we arrived the young lady was very rude! I told her we only had 2 now and the third person couldn't make it; well, she was pissed off and scolded us like we were kids. I honestly wanted to walk out. I apologized for the mistake, I wasn't rude or disrespectful, and shared it was our first time. Anyway, she was plain old nasty. We made a mistake, I apologized and communicated it wouldn't happen again, however that wasn't enough. Well, it was not a warm and relaxing start to our foot massage. We go back to the room and received our service, and it was not satisfactory. Foot massages are my favorite way to treat myself and I've been to a few in the city and sadly I must say this was my least favorite, my sister agreed. We will not return. Even though the front lady was disrespectful we both tipped our therapists and continued to ignore her foolishness. I was not going to allow an ignorant individual to get me out of character.   Cash tips are appreciated, and they no longer accept AMEX. This review is for 3.5 stars. I had been hearing a lot about how good foot massages could be so I was in the market for a good massage "parlour" that offered them. Someone suggested I check out Jiao Massage. I had actually driven past it many times previously, but never really noticed it within a small strip mall along Piedmont. Parking was fine as there were a good number of spots out front but it was an off-peak time so not sure if parking would be much more difficult if the complex overall was busier. Upon entering, there was a man behind the counter. I wouldn't say he "greeted" me but he did speak, though it was somewhat unfriendly, as he handed me some paperwork to fill out. Once the paperwork was complete and after waiting about 10 mins I was called back into the massage room areas. I was interested in getting a foot massage and the masseuse did an OK job. I had a foot massage elsewhere previously that was so good and relaxing that it put me to sleep! Jiao definitely was not on that level but it wasn't too bad. read more

Great experience for what I wanted, but you have to know what you're buying when you go in. It is a great quick massage. You're in and you're out. You go in, and, if you're not doing the full body massage, go into a communal room where all other massages are taking place. The masseuses are not afraid to be rough, which was nice, considering I had a ton of knots throughout my back. The tea was a nice added touch. I've been to Jiao a few times and had a great experience. But recently I went for a 30 minute full body massage ($45) and tipped $5, like usual. The massage therapist complained about the tip, saying it was "too little" and that everyone tips more. I know multiple people who regularly tip $5, including myself, so I was definitely taken aback. Oh Jiao, how lovely you are! During the COVID I've desperately missed my trips to JeJu. Unfortunately, JeJu does not appear to be taking very many precautions. Enter, Jiao! My friend and I came here in desperate need of some rejuvenation. They took our temps before we even came in the door! Then we filled out a questionnaire. For our foot massages we were in our own curtained area and there was a plexiglass barrier between me and the gentleman massaging my feet ( my feet slid under it like a rolling white board). The full body was in a private room and the room was exceptionally clean. Every. Single. Person. had on a mask and were wearing it properly! The massage itself was amazing! Exactly what the doctor ordered. Value proposition was great! $85 for both foot reflexology (30 mins) and full body (1 hr). Just the most spectacular experience! Thank you again Jiao! NOTE: PRE-COVID-19 REVIEW (late post) Jiao is massage on a budget, so you have to remember you get what you pay for, essentially. I came in for a one hour Swedish massage. The rooms aren't the typical ones you see in other spas. It's just a thin wall that separates each room from the next. They're literally all right next to each other. There's even a wooden sliding door in between each one. In my room, the sliding door didn't seem to close all the way, so there was a small crack between door & frame. Think of the cracks in between bathroom stalls. So if someone wanted to, they could peek into the next room. Awkward. You'll also hear next door conversations that don't really add to your ambiance. The massage itself was great though. That was on par with other places I've been to. I did get a little confused when my therapist left the room to get something. I thought I was done, even though he hadn't asked me to flip over yet. Luckily, I didn't start changing before he walked back in to say he just needed to get something for me. (I can't remember now what it was. Hot towel maybe?) I left feeling relaxed & muscles loose and appreciated the affordable price for that feeling, but I like having the "full spa experience" with a private room & spa music. read more

I am so glad that I came here! I have passed this place a million times, but a colleague recently recommended it and when I hurt my back, I thought I'd give it a try. It looks like the majority of the clients are there for the foot massages, but I got an hour long full body massage. Andy did my massage and he was great. I literally called him "an angel." The space for the full body massage isn't very fancy, but it's clean and tranquil. You can hear the people getting the foot massages (who are sitting in giant recliners and look VERY comfortable), some of them are snoring. This was my first time venturing to self-care territory during COVID. Jiao was very safe. You wait at the door and ring the bell for someone to come out and check your temperature. Once inside there are partitions in place to keep a distance from employees. During the foot massage there is a plexiglass to separate you from the masseuse. This means you won't get head and shoulders during your foot massage. I recommend doing the 30 min foot/30 min chair. The chair massage is more hands-on so you must be comfortable with not social distancing during this portion. With that said, they have a questionnaire to fill out prior to your massage to ensure you don't have COVID symptoms and have not been exposed. One of the best Chinese reflexology experiences I've ever had.. and that's saying a lot because I've been to several across the country! They were able to accommodate me on a Thursday evening with only a couple of hours appointment lead time. The location is about a 10 -15 minute drive from Downtown Atlanta. It's surrounded by several Asian restaurants and shops. I was the only client in the facility for my 7pm appointment. The place is clean, quiet, and comfortable. I was served hot tea prior to the massage which is a great way to relax your mind and your muscles before hand. I got the 30 minute foot and 30 minute body massage... totally worth it. Every movement and application of pressure was intentional and definitely had some effect on my sore muscles (especially after flying for 5 hours). I definitely dozed off here and there during my massage. Also, at times the pressure was painful (good pain) but I did have to request a little ease which they obliged to.
