Not your luxury spa but the service nothing short of it. This review is for body massage only as I haven't used their foot reflexology services yet. First time can be a bit awkward. They don't have sound proof rooms and hence you can hear people conversing outside. Secondly they only have male massage therapists which I prefer but can be an issue for some. But after my second time there I'm already hooked. It's the best place to get a massage without going through the hassle of calling in and waiting for days to get an appointment. It's relatively better priced than most all massage parlors in the city. Most importantly the therapists actually know what they are doing. They ask for your pressure preference and if any body part needs more attention and then they actually follow through. I especially love their hot towel part. It's a great end to a massage and relaxes you even more. Its simple. Go in with an expectation of a great massage without the frou-frou bells & whistles of a high end spa and you'll come out feeling relaxed and energized. I'm so happy to be back! My husband and I had visited Jiao several times before COVID happened and this past weekend was our first time back. Reasons I felt safe and am a returning customer: - Solid COVID protocols- They check your temperature at check-in, mask policy is enforced, all staff wear masks, and hand sanitizer is provided. We only came in for a 1hr foot massage and were impressed with the large plexi shields between me and the masseuse! - Reduced number of people. In the foot massage room there are 6 large chairs but they are limiting the # of customers to 4. They also kept the door open so it's not a completely enclosed space. - I've always enjoyed the blankets they provide, the complimentary jasmine tea, and soothing music playing in the background. I will say I'm sad that they did not use any hot stones or other massage tools, and didn't massage your upper body/ head like they have in the past. I get that it's probably due to COVID but nothing was added as a substitute or to compensate the change. Atleast bring the price down now that the foot massage experience isn't what it used to be. - Great foot massage. As always the masseuse is knowledgeable about pressure points and what areas need the most attention. I appreciate that they also check if the firmness if comfortable. These 1hr foot massage always feel so short so that's a good sign. Overall I'm thankful for the service provided at Jiao. It's a little gem in Atlanta where otherwise I'd have to drive OTP to get a reflexology-based foot massage. read more

The worst costumer service ever. I called to make an appointment for next week and the "Manager" answered the phone like the place is not a public spot to call, indescribably Rude woman. I asked to make an appointment with them on a Friday trying to be ahead of time and ensure a spot for my friend and I. She was super closed minded and did not even put some effort to help, she made it looked like a policy to book people on her establishment only on Mondays who does that????? I hate giving such a low rating when I really love this place. The men giving the massages were great - professional & polite - but the woman answering the phones at the front desk didn't have customer relation skills at all. This is a great business & I understand the need for fees when customers don't show but her attitude & "take-it-or-leave-it" approach was very off-putting & we will not be back. A pregnant woman was going to come but ended-up not feeling well & therefore, unable to make it. We called and called on Monday & even left a message to alert them but there was no answer so, naturally, we left a message & considered it handled. At today's visit to the "relaxing" spa, we're told of this fee & proceeded to explain the circumstance & that a message was left. Her robotic reply was, "we're very busy here and you need to keep calling until you speak with someone." As career-women and mothers with families, we're busy too! Her approach was very dry and she made no effort to make us feel like customers that matter (which any good business-person knows is key). She proceeded to argue (although she was calm about it but it was a back-and-forth discussion) with us and charged us fees that a good business-person would waive given the pregnancy circumstance! To preface this review, I have a stamp card for Jiao that is almost full, so I will do my best to tone down my bias. As previously stated, I go quite frequently. This place is instrumental in my self-care. Every single time I've gone, I've been treated with courtesy and respect. The men are extremely good at what they do and the prices are very fair. I make appointments as often as I can, but when I'm out and about and I need to do a walk-in, they are almost always accommodating. I was traveling for work and really needed a massage after a long day. I am a HUGE fan of the Chinese style massages and normally enjoy getting one regularly in my hometown. It's always great to know that you can find one when traveling, but it can be scary to try a new one if you don't know what you're getting. Luckily, yelp always saves the day! Thanks to the many positive reviews, I felt confident in giving this one a try and I was not disappointed. I did the hourlong combination foot/back massage and while you have to know what you're getting into (it can be DEEP pressure!) I had a great and relaxing experience. A couple of things that made it not perfect include the atmosphere. My massage therapist spoke to others in Chinese quite a bit and I think the person massaging me even changed in the middle of the session. But, they did a great job and it was exactly what I needed. Today will be my last visit, as the woman running the front desk, who appeared to be asleep under her hoodie when I walked in, was verbally aggressive when I advised that my party was 2 people instead of 3, and suggested that I leave if I was not comfortable with her attitude. I even volunteered to pay for the missing party to cover the inconvenience but that offer was dismissed. I got a therapist who squeezed stress outta my feet. I want to say that reflexology cured my headaches, IBD, and much more, but I can't say that. On a visit to Atlanta two weeks ago my BFF took me here as a surprise. OMG. The experience was simply amazing. We did the Wednesday friends special for $50 (total cost for the two of us) so we were next to each other all the way in the back in a secluded, quiet room for the reflexology. I had no idea it was going to be reflexology + massage. I expected them to only touch my feet, but he massaged my legs, my shoulders, my face and scalp. I wore makeup because I didn't know someone would be massaging my face, so when the guy went from my face to massage my shoulders through my blouse, I jumped and said, "Don't get makeup on my linen shirt!" Poor guy, I scared him half to death. lol I pulled off my shirt to allow him to get to my back and shoulders. I was wearing a bra, but he still blushed a bit, which I thought was adorable. I guess most people keep their clothes on during reflexology. At one point in the treatment, the guy crawled on top of me and rested his weight on my thighs, which felt great but we stared at each other and started giggling. And then we couldn't stop and it was completely silly. My friend and her masseuse kept looking at us like we were annoying high schoolers. But it was fun that the guy wasn't so stoic and serious. But he wasn't creepy, either. As a bonus, the place is really pretty and very moody/dark. I enjoyed the entire experience. read more

They used to be very good years ago when I lived in Atlanta, I went last week and instead of an hour is only 45 minutes massage, it was a terrible. Today I went again and gave it a chance to see if it was only a one time thing, and the same, awful massage, my 4 year old son can do better presure than that, it was a 1 from 10. When we finish and told the lady in the front, she was arguing with us that she checked the clock too. Ok! She wanted to keep going on, I honestly told her I don't care, I just wont go again. OMG I stopped by here while preggers cause I desperately needed a foot massage and I'm so glad that I did! So if you want to come here, definitely make sure you have made an appointment. When you first walk in, it's kinda dark and already having the aura of making you feel very relaxed. The front desk lady that I had spoken with was also very pleasant the whole time (even when I had mommy brain and would blank out at times, whoops!) Once the three of us in the party had checked in the front, we were led to the room for the foot massages and it was nice and dark. I like it dark so I could get in a light nap while my swollen feet were being taken care of. There are big chairs there for you to sink into and let the environment transport you to another place. They also had relaxing music playing the whole time. The only reason why I did not mark them fully as five stars is because the person who was giving me a massage, I could definitely smell that they had smoked earlier. It was definitely confirmed when they started massaging towards my head, other than that, no complaints! Amazing... my girlfriend and I took advantage of the special. We sat in a room with reclining chairs where our feet were soaked and we were given hot tea and I lovely cookies from a bakery that I love not far from where I live. The massages were amazing. Very methodical and intuitive . Most of all, relaxing, I almost fell asleep. The end of the foot massage, the practitioner addressed pressure points in my head, face, neck and shoulders with a light massage. Unfortunately, my practitioner is going back to China very soon. A very inexpensive treat! $35.00 for a 60 minute reflexology massage. This was an absolutely amazing massage with impeccable service. They bring you hot tea and a cookie to start, and then start working their magic. I really enjoyed the fact that they ask you what pressure and continually check to make sure he pressure is the right amount. They do some facial and head/shoulder massage as part of the 60 minute treatment. I was most impressed by the professionalism coupled with the overall setting. There is a level of privacy even in an open environment. It is very quiet and relaxing! It is located in a strip mall, so you may miss it at first. They do have a reward punch card program if you live in Atlanta. I highly recommend this location. I left feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated. I went here with a friend on a Wednesday afternoon for their two for one special. We had a reservation and showed up a little early - you'll need to fill out a little paperwork beforehand on your first trip. I've been to a lot of foot massage places in Atlanta, and besides the OTP Treat Your Feet, I think this might be the best. They even give you a little cookie to go with your tea. As far as the actual massage goes, I think the quality of this one was maybe the best yet. The man was gentle but firm - not too aggressive. The only thing I will say is that they do spend most of the time on your feet as opposed to the perhaps equal time on the face/hands/neck other places might spend. Still, it was really nice. What a find, I'm so glad a friend shared this wonderful place with me! Authentic reflexology foot massages, which isn't just limited to the feet, but also includes arms and head massage. My friend warned me that the head massage could be too hard, but I thought it was fine. Expect a certain, tolerable level of pain in certain pressure points of the feet (this is an indication of a potential problem area relating to another part of the body). It's very interesting if you take the time to learn what parts of feet correspond to various parts of the body (organs, etc.) I've had reflexology massages in various parts of Asia and did not expect this place to be as good as it is. Give it a try and see for yourself. Sometimes it might be difficult to communicate with your masseuse, but the receptionist can help clear up any verbal problems/questions you may have. Whenever my feet hurt from running/exercising daily - I need a foot massage. I probably come here every few months (Once a quarter?). I definitely come here on weekends I have races. My feet are kind of sensitive I guess. I really should invest in better shoes... Parking - plenty of parking. Jiao is in a 2 story strip (that includes restaurants) & next door to Varuni Napoli (and HobNob). Wouldn't be a bad idea to get food & get a massage or vice versa. I would call ahead to make sure they are available. Same day RSVP is fine, but I'm sure some days they are booked. The folks on the line are really nice. I just get the 1 hour foot massage ($35). Foot (I think this is like 50 mins) + head/arm massage (10 mins?). It's nice. I know some people only want foot for 1 hour, but I personally like the mix. They also only have males do the massages, which I appreciate. I've had male and female masseuses in the past, I just prefer males since my feet are pretty stiff and I need someone who can aggressively get the muscles to relax. Oh - and Jiao has a stamp card. Get it if you know you'll be getting a massage often. I'm on #3 for the 1st card! I also did see they have a special... 2 pp for $40 on Wednesdays (?). That's awesome. I've been looking for a good place for foot massages and I think I may have found it. I booked the 1hr foot massage for $35 and it was great! Bonus - You also get a little bit of a head/scalp massage, shoulder and forearm! Don't be shy about voicing how much pressure you do/don't like. **PSA** If you arrive early for your appointment or have to reschedule, you CANNOT leave your car in the the parking lot (it's monitored). If you decide to kill some time by getting coffee or even visit the Shell station adjacent to the parking lot, you stand a VERY good chance of getting booted. Even if you are a paying patron to a business in this strip mall and have a receipt as proof, the boot company will do their best to charge you to remove the boot. THIS IS NOT JIAO's fault, and it would be ashamed to have such a great experience ruined by unreasonable booting practices. read more

It's always a fantastic treat to take care of your feet. This place is dark, quite and worth the hour break to take. They have men come into a fairly large room with 6 or 8 chairs with curtains separating the rooms. They gently wash your feet, then preform reflexology to relieve your stress while you are reclined in a comfortable chair. Only caution is they do give you a quick back and neck massage after touching your feet. I was a bit worried they would touch my face, but they just did a quick ear massage. Great place! I called and made an appointment, was able to be seen the same day. When I walked in, the place was very quiet with the exception of two ladies trying to whisper but not doing a good job, (think Steel Magnolias hair salon scene). I prayed I wouldn't sit by them. Of course, I was seated next to them...lol. The assistant went over the details of the massage and what to expect, nice touch. Just when I thought I couldn't take anymore of my chatting neighbors, I heard the gentle sounds of snoring...yep, the massage put them right to sleep and that's all I remember because I fell asleep too!!
