Amazing Puerto Rican food. I cannot wait to go back. I ordered the skirt steak with rice and beans and chimichurri. It came with plantain. It was so delicious. Very savory and juicy. The beans and rice complimented the skirt steak so well. The chimichurri added this amazing fresh tanginess to every bite. I didn't need to add any extra sauce or anything to my meal. My boyfriend ordered a steak jarbarrito with no cheese. They got the order wrong and had cheese on it, they took it back and pulled the cheese off of it. They did not remake it unfortunately. Making the best out of it he still enjoyed his jarbarito. His only qualm was that the plantain buns were not even on both sides. The ratio of meat to bun is extensive. But It looked and smelled so good! We also ordered passionfruit juice, I don't suggest to order that because it's the blue can juice from the market. It is not natural passionfruit juice. Our waiter was not the best. They do have a lady server in there. We wish we had her because she was very tentative and did end up helping our server out. Ambience was very clean. It does get packed quickly. All in all great experience, we will be back!

This is the best Puerto Rican food I've had! You get so much for the price! Only $24 for all of this and I still had enough left overs to feed my husband and daughter, highly recommend!

This place is a classic for a reason. The jibaritos are good - I came here most recently because my friend is a vegetarian and really likes it here, so shoutout delicious vegetarian options. She got a vegetable jibarito and a side of mofongo. I enjoyed trying her mofongo and eating my steak jibarito, but the absolute highlight for me was the alcapurria. Sooooo good.

Super fast super efficient staff and super yummy Puerto Rican food. My favorite place in the world for Jibaritos. I like food here more than in Ouerto Rico. Try it. There's a separate take out store on the same street as the restaurant.

Wow, I can see why this place has great reviews! Jibaritos may be a Puertorrican dish but they were born right here in Chicago, massive portions for $9.20 plus a side of rice (more like a tray of rice) for $4.25 and alcapurrias at $2 a pop, where else can you find prices like that especially in this economy lol? Everyone working was wonderful & they were non stop busy the whole time. They have a separate restaurant and a to-go store right next to each other. Worth the trip!

Looking for great Puerto Rican food and options for vegetarians? Try this spot! Ordered some Tostones and Mofongo w/pork. I also ordered the Jibarrito Steak sandwich. It comes with puerto rican rice - it was phenomenal! All of the food was fantastic! I could not find an entire menu or website online however, but we ordered through DoorDash and it contained some photos of some of the entrees too. This helped. I thought the Mofongo was a bit dry, but everything else was phenomenal! I would definitely recommend here for great Puerto Rican Food!

This was my first time trying jiberitos and I am obsessed. We found this place through reddit recommendations when we were planning our Chicago trip itinerary and I am so glad we went here. The place is fairly easy to get to with public transportation. There is a separate location for take out and dine in orders but they are located very close to one another so it shouldn't be a problem navigating. We got seated pretty quickly and the staff were super nice. They gave us some bread and butter while we waited for our food. We got the bistek (steak) jiberito and it was delicious. The fried plantains were so good and the garlic smothered on top of it added a nice punch. The meat inside was soft was juicy. The lettuce and onions in the sandwich really tied it all together. I think I need a separate paragraph for the sauce that came with the jiberito. It was spicy in all the right ways and we were obsessed with it. For dessert, we got their Guava Quesitos. They were good but a little too sweet for my preference. I contemplated moving to Chicago just to eat here more often.

    Pulpo and Camerones jibaritos (gigantic)

I've never had a jibaritos before. Never even heard of it. But I was introduced to this place by a friend and I. AM. HOOKED. I'll be back and I plan to bring friends here too. Apparently, according to help, Jibaritos are sandwiches originating from Chicago's puerto rico community. We ordered a jibaritos (pulpo y camarones - octopus and shrimp). The bread is a deep fried plantain, which at first didn't sound that appetizing to me, but it was perfect. Inside is mayo, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and lots of garlic. The garlic was very strong in this, which I loved. But beware (or maybe ask for less if you're not a garlic fan). The octopus was good, but it wasn't really necessary for me. But the shrimp was really good (way beyond what I expected it to be). Fresh, great texture, really tasty. I'm definitely going to be coming back to get another shrimp jibaritos next time (and try more). The sandwiches are HUGE by the way. We only ate this as a snack, so I can't say how much I'd normally be able to eat. But it was so good, that next time, I am going to order one for myself. Thank you Jibaritos y Mas. See you again soon!

Came here with a friend from out of town and wanted something different. This place was busy but we got seated almost immediately. They moved around some chairs and tables for us. We sat right near the door next to two other pairs of people, which felt cramped but I was glad we got seated right away. Our server didn't speak much English, but luckily I know Spanish which helped! I got the steak sandwich. I asked for no mayo, but there was still mayo on it. That said, the food was delicious and a large portion, especially for the price! Great, authentic food!

It's been a long time since I've been to this location I used to go here in the 1990s it used to look like a hole in the wall now it looks more modern not necessarily bougie. Anyways I had a craving for bistek with arroz con grandules. I've been going to the one by Harlem and Belmont and I went yesterday but I was disappointed because despite that they close at 8:00 p.m. they couldn't have service at 7:30 to dining in I guess I was too late. Well today I went to this location cuz it was closer to after I left work and had a craving for bistek. It seems that the portions here are larger than the one in Harlem and Belmont. Ambience was more modern now and doesn't look like a hole in the wall service was decently friendly. My only thing despite that I like potato balls or rellenos de Papa. I was a little disappointed because it looked like it was too deep fried. It was black like it was burnt. It's still tasted good with the filling of beef it's just it was a little burnt thus the four out of five stars I will be coming back for the beef stew

Wanted to try a jibarito while I'm here in Chicago and wow I'm very impressed! This surpassed my expectations. The plantains were cooked so well, had a nice crisp and flavor. The garlic on top was soooo good--I just wish that they put the garlic inside the sandwich so your hands wouldn't get so dirty. The beef and vegetables were great. No complaints at all and will for sure come back if I visit again!

my first ever jibarito!!!!! i did a ton of research to find the best place to go for this iconic puerto rican sandwich that originated in Chicago, and pretty much everyone recommended Jibaritos y Más, and it did NOT disappoint. i am now a jibarito convert and i fear i cannot go to any other place to try one now because the jibarito con lechon here was soo delicious. my friends got the jibarito con bistec and that was also delicious!! doubt you could go wrong with any of the options here. our servers were rlly nice & service was quick! i think it's great they have a separate building solely for take-out orders (and speaks to the demand!) because I assume it allows them to focus more diligently on the in-person experience. i would recommend jibaritos y mas to anyone who wants to try a jibarito for the first time because I had a wonderful experience here!

They came out at the same time as the entrees. It only took about 10 minutes! We ordered a volcan with steak in red sauce (mofongo relleno de bistec en salsa), breaded chicken breast and lechón with arroz con gandules. The food was spectacular! Everything was very well seasoned and reminded me of home (born and raised in PR, moved here as an adult). I would definitely recommend that anyone come here for authentic Puerto Rican food. Be mindful that they are very generous with their portion sizes. We ended up taking about half of it home. There are worse problems one can have. :-)

A friend and I decided to hit the Humboldt Park area (Western/Division) and take in some Borinqueña atmosphere and sights. After walking up and down Division Street awhile we stumbled upon Papa's Cache Sabroso. The place was jumping! The weather was amazingly gorgeous and outdoor seating was packed. There was a line for seating and takeout. The friendly host was doing an amazing job of keeping it all organized. We chose takeout and ordered a steak Jibarito con arroz y gandules and a side order of plátano maduro all totaling $22.27. As another reviewer noted it is a tad pricey but not overly so. It took about 20+ minutes to get the food...but like their sign states, something on the order of, "this is not a fast food place and good food takes time, please be patient". The Jibarito tasted good overall like other Jibaritos I've had in the past, however my friend commented that although the steak was flavorful, it was a tad chewy and I would slightly agree. The mayo, tomato and garlic kind of brings it all together for me, but I would've liked way more garlic...and there was even a small container of garlic "sauce", but it was very light on the mashed garlic paste. Whenever I dipped my plátano maduro, I couldn't get any pieces of garlic on until most of the olive oil was gone. The rice was standard and flavorful and I really did enjoy the plátano maduro. I would probably return to try the garlic chicken.
