This location is small, but efficient. They only have two bays so if you need major work done, it may be better to schedule an appointment. I like to take my car here when I need a small task done. I brought my car here a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning to get my headlight replaced. I was happy to see they weren't very busy. The employee came over to greet me and explained that they were short staffed, and that it would be a few minutes before he could get to me. I probably waited no more than 10 minutes and once he replaced the light, it took less than a minute. He was very efficient and was able to pull up my account using my license plate. The employee was cool under pressure. I only saw two employees while I was there, but when I left, a few more employees had finally arrived. I've consistently had great service the few times that I've been here. The staff is always friendly and they do a great job of completing the work in a timely manner. read more

As a visitor in Houston, on my way to the hospital to be with my husband, a parking curb pulled the front camera panel out from under my front bumper. It was dragging on the ground. I needed a quick fix so I could continue to the hospital. Jiffy Lube had come to my rescue previously in my hometown, so I looked for them once again. They were so wonderful! They pulled me close in behind another car already in the bay and were able to zip-tie the drooping panel from below and get me out again within minutes. And it was done free of charge. I tried to get my vehicle inspection today 11-6-2020 at this location: 2118 N Main St, Pearland, TX 77581(Be aware this place is racist). Before I can get out the car a young man claiming to be in charge spoke loudly yelling with an attitude stating I might not get approval from Wheels inc because its two months early from inspection expiration. He turned me down claiming Wheels would not approve the cost. Wheels has given me authorization emails daily since last week. The young guy in charge yelled at me repeatedly saying this shop is not allowed to do that inspection. I got on the phone with wheels inc and immediately they gave me approval to do the inspection but the guy in charge refused to accept the approval. He threatened to call the police on me because I wanted an inspection and also he said "Just because I have a company car doesn't mean I can come hear and get my inspection". Im embarrassed and completely feel so low after that experience. I was the first in line and was refused. I have been using Jiffy lube for all my company cars and personal cars for over 15 years and this is the first time I have been rejected service for unknown reasons. Taken my truck here twice for oil changes. Both times they have tried to upsell a lot of unnecessary items always totally more than $175 for a simple oil change. Also the "signature service" oil change specifies all tires and fluids checked and top them off...my tire is low pressure two days later. I also heard them tell three people, myself included, that the coolant was low and for 4.99 they could top it off. I'm not sure why the employee turn-over is so high (I've never seen the same employees twice) but every time I visit, they are very nice & professional. First impressions, the place is very well organized, no clutter, which is a great sign. Sandy greeted me right when I pulled up, and let me know where I could park the car, and then started taking a quick look at my car. Initially I came in only for an oil change, but they noticed that I needed an inspection coming up soon and let me know they offered it. They also did checks on my car and let me know of a need of a new engine filter as well as explaining what an engine filter does, why it needed to be replaced as well. Of course, like an mechanic they try to sell the service, but Joey, the one who I was talking to was very nice in explaining what it does without prompting. They did let me know about some other issues, i.e. wiper blades, coolant, etc, and explained what they were used as well. But I declined since I had my own blades that I hadn't gotten around to installing. The oil change took about 15 or so minutes, and went by very quickly. The waiting room does also have water and coffee for you coffee drinkers out there. I appreciate the friendliness, from Sandy and Joey, as well as the transparency for the services. They clearly explained what parts needed checking up/replacing instead of just pushing services. The crew here is quick, courteous and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to swing by for an oil change again, and I'll probably drop by again to get my car inspection with these guys. Worth driving the extra time over! read more

I decided to come to this location because it was not far from where I work and the reviews seemed genuine. No long wait, so they drove my vehicle right in. Older gentleman was kind in viewing my coupon as I asked him if it would be honored. He said he didn't see why not, it's a jiffy lube coupon. I get out of my vehicle, approach the door to the entrance of the building, as he's holding the door, and made my way to the waiting area. I was told they'd be in to tell me information about my vehicle. One question to up-sell the vents in my vehicle being changed. I declined. Next, I was asked what type of oil for my vehicle. I know my vehicle takes synthetic oil. My response was to use whatever oil that has been used previously from my jiffy lube visits. No response or update on what was being put into my vehicle. A younger male that "cleaned my windows" enters the building and calls me by my last name. He tells me the price. I ask why is it so expensive, he says "I don't know". I simply stated that I have never paid that amount previously when I came to jiffy lube. He asks when was my last visit. I clearly don't recall the date, but I'm thinking it would be in their database. He then says "well the prices did go up a couple of months ago". My response was "it would've been nice to know prior to servicing my vehicle". He then says, "well now you know". Very unprofessional. At this point I'm feeling I've been taken advantage of. The older gentleman comes in saying to go online to jiffy lube's website and pull up a coupon for synthetic oil. Didn't see the coupon for synthetic oil. The younger male puts the code in. Brings my total from $101 to $88. The cheaper amount is around the price I would've normally paid with a coupon. I pay for the service, he places the paper on top of his hand, I say thank you, and head for the door. He's saying to my back, take care ma'am. The gentleman prior to me that paid for his service had the door held open for him and walked to his vehicle, was also told where his keys were. My car door was left open and keys visible to where I could see them. Hmm, I'm a paying customer as well, why wasn't the same common courtesy shown to me?! I'll let you think about it. I'm still feeling uneasy about this visit. Needless to say I won't be returning to this location. One star for not having to wait, one star for the 2 of 3 people that worked on my vehicle. I used to bring my vehicle here for oil changes until they tried to commit fraud with a vehicle inspection. I was told my vehicle would fail inspection due to the window tint being too dark on my rear windows, but they would "overlook" it and pass the vehicle if I paid almost double the inspection cost. My window tint is completely legal, and I even double checked the TX DPS website and spoke with a DPS officer to be sure that no new changes had been made to window tint regulations. read more

I love this Jiffy Lube it's awesome the staff is very friendly. I do find it quite funny how a bunch of customers complain about prices when I'm a customer to and if you can't afford it then don't drive a vehicle.. Up selling? How is it up selling when you see your air filter is dirty in your wiper blades are torn and you got lights out on the vehicle so it's really not up selling it's just letting you know what's wrong.. I went for an inspection and I failed because engine light on I have to change oxygen sensor and the knock sensor I did then the second oxygen sensor failed and I changed this one too.. SO I changed the parts and then I came back and failed again and they told me to drive 100 miles that is nowhere on paper to drive 100 miles then after my 100 miles I failed again so they told me to drive 50 more miles. So I am going to drive 50 miles more for nothing and who is going to pay for this mileages because all has to be done in 15 days and I had to wait to get the parts to change them. SO now I have 3 day left and hoping that I dont have to drive 300 miles. read more

The front desk staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.They also offer coupons, so the conventional oil change was average price after using it, although I prefer to use synthetic. People who complain about them overselling; have you ever been to a restaurant when they offer specials, or MCDONALDS for that matter, when they offer to upsize you? Yes they offered me more expensive options, but after declining, they did not push me nor tell me stomething was wrong with my car when it wasn't. Pretty organized crew here. How can I give a ZERO star review to this location? I've been coming here for a few years and never thought to put them to a test, who knows how long they've been doings this to me and others. I specifically asked the person in charged if they change out the oil filter when then do an oil change and he said "yes". Well they did not change my oil filter and they didn't compleately change the oil either. They didn't say anything about my air filter, too. How do I know this? you ask. Well Before taking my truck there, I marked the oil filter and looked at my air filter( needed replacing). After they were finished I looked and needless to say the oil filter was the same one, the oil was black when I checked the level and they did not even bother to inspect my air filter. And they still tried to deny it. That is no way to run a business. Not going back there again. The rest of you...Think twice before trusting them. read more
