Hired Jill Brazel to take our wedding photos. Jill was disinterested, did not provide any direction, and lacked professionalism. Didn't back up our wedding photos and lost them. Aside from not having something tangible from the wedding, hours were wasted taking posed photos that could have been spent with friends and family that traveled 1000s of miles. Gross professional negligence and a blatant disregard for other peoples' time. My wife and I had our "wedding" photos re-shot with another photographer, and the difference between the two was night and day. Despite being 8 months pregnant, this other photographer laid on the ground and put herself in compromising positions in order to achieve the shots she wanted. Jill did both our maternity photos and newborn photo shoot. She had great ideas for our maternity shoot and made both me and my husband feel comfortable. She also did a FABULOUS job with our newborn, you could tell she had worked with babies before. We were slightly late (because, baby), and the baby fussed a bit during the shoot, and needed to be fed and changed during, so that our session went over time by quite a bit, but Jill was incredibly patient and helpful. The photos from both sessions came out just beautiful. What's more, Jill was recovering from a serious illness while she did most of the work, but the quality of her work and her clear dedication to her clients didn't suffer at all. So..where do I begin? I work in the event industry, and the first wedding I worked with Jill was in December of 2003 in Kenilworth. I was immediately impressed by her ability to 'glide' effortlessly between guests to get the shot, and since then I have worked with her on 7 different weddings. The 2 things that impress me the most..1) She has SUCH a keen eye, and is so intuitive about what (and when) to shoot. Anyone that has kids knows that they don't pose, let alone know how to sit still! And yet..in her studio are some of the most amazing kiddo pics that I've ever seen. 2) She is sooo easy to work with. Jill has been photographing my children for years and I'm not sure what magic she uses, but she gets the most amazing, stunning pictures of all three, no matter what awkward stage they're in. I love that the pictures are natural- she let's them be kids, and catches the funny things they do that make them individuals. We had our family fall pictures taken by Jill in October. She did an amazing job at capturing our little family. We brought our puppy shiba inu and orange tabby cat to the shoot and the pictures we got were stunning.
