Due to the strong yelp review we went to this lot for a tree. It's a small family property with plenty of selections growing around the house. We bought a modest tree and planned for it to live outside our living room window for added ambience as we looked into the backyard. We bought this in late November and I think added water twice. It's now early February and it's still alive and green. Just thought that was funny and amazing. read more

I'm hesitating to write this review because this Christmas tree farm is a hidden gem and I want to keep this secret to myself and ensure that there will always be many beautiful trees to choose from. But these fine folks deserve more love, so here it is. We first discovered this place in 2019 when there were only 4 reviews. We had already gone through a couple nearby farms without finding a suitable tree, so we turned to Yelp and found this place very close by. We went right by it on the first pass because we assumed that there would be a sign marking the location, but there was none (and there still isn't). We drove tentatively down the hill, wondering what we would encounter at the bottom. What we found was a relatively small farm with a remarkably excellent selection of trees. From the parking area above we immediately spotted several good candidates and then spent over half an hour agonizing over which perfect tree we wanted. Compared to the struggle of finding good trees in the much larger and heavily-trafficked farms, this was refreshingly easy. We returned again today after confirming that they were open for business this year (last year they weren't operating due to Covid-19). When I called to inquire, they told me that they were open by appointment only and sent me a link to their sign-up page. We found a convenient time for this morning. As before, there were numerous great trees and we spent much time fretting about our final choice. Finally a consensus was reached, the tree was felled, and we schlepped it up the slope and lashed it to our car. A short while later it was in our living room, fully decorated and looking fabulous. But what makes the experience here so great are the people who work here. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and given an orientation to the place. As I busied myself with securing the tree to the roof of our car, my family chatted with the friendly folks who live and work here, nibbling on cookies and playing with their dog. Parking is limited so don't just show up without an appointment because you'll just make it hard on everyone else and it's frankly just disrespectful to do so. There is an area that is easier terrain, but if you choose to go down the slope be advised that it is steep and footing is sometimes tricky, so bring good shoes and tread carefully. So there you have it. This is a great place to find Christmas trees. Now do me a favor and don't come so that we will continue to have our pick of the best trees for many Christmases to come. read more

We come every year and they are the sweetest people. $75 a tree pay with VENMO or cash. They even have a table with cookies with my 3 year old munched on. They allow you to bring an electric saw (we had a small electric reciprocating saw), or you can borrow a handsaw. There is limited parking so they prefer you make an online reservation. First thing, they were soooo sweet and helped us find the perfect tree. We mistakenly came at the wrong time and they were still very welcoming. There were little cookies for my daughter and a sweet dog that greeted her. There were no judgements as we had our sedan that was covered by a 12 foot tree! We securely got it home for our tall ceiling house! There were at least 20 other wonderful trees as full and as tall as what we were looking for. I can't wait to decorate it. read more

We were able to call and get the ok to drive down when we arrived. $75 any tree. It's worth it to drive past the packed tree lots to this less busy, more personal experience. read more

This was our first year cutting down our Christmas tree and we are so happy we went to Jim and Vicky's. I called and they mentioned you usually have to make a reservation since parking can be limited, but since it was the end of the day we were welcome to come by. We showed up around 4:00PM and were giving a brief orientation of the layout of the property. They kindly ask that you leave a few branches at the bottom when you cut down a tree so that another tree can grow in its place which we were happy to do. It was a flat $75 rate and they also provide some white cord if you need to wrap your tree up. Will definitely go back again as it was definitely a pleasure. They also accepted Venmo. read more

Great experience with a small business. I took my 3 year old for our first time cutting our own tree, and we both had a nice time. It was dumping rain, but Jim was there to greet us and show us where to select our tree. We roamed around for a little bit (maybe a little more briefly due to the weather) and found a really nice tree. Jim asked that we cut it high enough that it can regenerate, which I appreciate. I tied it down to the roof rack myself, but Jim provided the twine and some tips to make sure that I didn't donate my tree to 880 on the way home, and I got the tree home with no problems. It's a small operation, but the selection of trees was good, and I always appreciate friendly service. Please note, they don't have a sign, but the address is accurate. I called ahead to make sure they were open. The tree looks great, and I hope to come back next year! read more

We have been getting our tree at Jim and Vicki's Christmas Tree Farm for about 15 years! They are a down-to-earth, sweet couple! Very friendly and they love kids running around. They are so, very friendly! Any size tree you choose is the same price and you have a huge choice! We stumbles upon Jim and Vicky's on accident after going through all three tree lots at Black Road Christmas Tree Farm last year. We were at the top of the third lot and saw these beautiful, well pruned trees, on the other side of a fence. We hiked back down, drove up the road and found them! They are a sweet couple who take great care of their trees and they are the same price as Black Road. All of the trees are self-cut and they are all $60. This is our second year getting trees from them and we will continue to do so as long as they are around. read more
