It's still fast food, but it's prepared for you specifically and you get a glass, fork and knife. Other than that, it's selve serve. The space feels clean, but they don't clean desks after diners, even during slow hours. Quality is ok, but nothing to write home about. Aptly, price is halfway between McD and a proper burger restaurant. They could be a little more generous with the fries. read more

We stumbled upon Jim Block and had a good meal. Block Burger w/ Cheese w/ Meal w/ soda, Block Burger w/ Meal w/ soda, 2 Mini Cheese (burgers) and 2 still waters. On the burgers is some sauce that is yummy, lettuce and tomato. It is messy with hands, and I saw a lot of people eating burgers with knife/fork. Total Bill was 24 Euro. They only give 1 napkin per meal... I'll ask for more next time. The place is very clean. The patrons were mostly adults and variety of type of people. We had 2 kids and we were the only kids in the place. You order at the register and then go back and grab the food. The guy at the register spoke some English and had a small attitude (thus no 5 star). Definitely a place worth the try. read more

If I am not in the mood to cook Jim Block is one of my to go places being that it is nearby where I live. I think their hamburgers are pretty good (which is a high complement given that I am from the U.S.). I also enjoy their Caesar Salad & Chicken which comes with fresh lettuce, grilled chicken (love the seasoning on it) and fresh garlic bread crumbs. I've never stayed to eat there but the place is clean, staff is friendly and they have a small patio if you like eating outside. read more

Service is good, staff is great with kids so it's cool for a drink, but their steaks are average at best. The New York cheeseburger, is a garlicky meatloaf on a toasted focaccia bread, with sweet tomato relish on top, without a closing piece of bread in the top. It's basically a hot meat sandwich...Tastes actually ok, but it's got not much to do with a burger. Sorry read more

I had noticed that it's well reviewed here by German Qypers, and so when leaving the Reeperbahn S-Bahn hungry last night I popped in. The place is basically a hotdog factory, but they also have a few burgers if you want one of those. I went for a cheeseburger and it hit the spot. Not too big, not too small. it wasn't the best burger I've ever had, but it was better than most of what is on offer at other nearby establishments.

I ordered the single patty cheese burger. It comes with lettuce, tomato, burger sauce, and cheese. You have the option to add on items like cheese, mushrooms, and more. I added mushrooms. They were delicious! For sides, we all ordered something different to share. I got the cauliflower with yogurt dip. I tried the onion rings, sweet potato fries, and classic fries. We tried ketchup and truffle mayo dip with all the sides too. The truffle mayo was great. I enjoyed the cauliflower with yogurt dip the best. Nice stop to stop walking distance from the water. You can wear a bid if you don't want to get messy. Definitely did that!

Jim Block ist toll, das Jim Block in Othmarschen ist noch toller, wenn es nicht gerade Rush Hour ist und die ganzen Schüler und Geschäftsleute Mittagspause haben. Denn dann ist es eigentlich unmöglich einen freien Platz zu finden. Es ist dann eben so wie im Jim Block am Jungfernstieg. Kommt man zu einer ruhigen Stunde, ist es dort sogar recht angenehm, nicht viele Menschen, es ist nicht so laut und wenn man Glück hat, findet man einen Platz auf der kleinen Außenterasse. Vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis her sind die Burger Menüs optimal und sättigend. Die Zutaten sind frisch und die Jim Block Sauce macht die Burger erst so lecker. Die Lage am Bahnhof ist natürlich auch optimal. read more

Wirklich einer der leckersten Burger der Stadt, meist sehr gut besucht, lange Warteschlange, die aber relativ flott abgearbeitet wird. Hier sind mittags wirklich viele Schüler. Ich war mal fast jeden Tag bei JB, ein Stammgast. Aber was mich irgendwie nervt sind diese ständigen Preiserhöhungen. Ich nehme meistens sour creme und Saucen extra zum Burger. Die Sour Creme kostet mittlerweile 70 (in worten siebzig) Cent! Für einen meist nur halb befüllten mini Plastikbehälter. Finde das schon echt frech. Wenn man bedenkt, dass ein Burger 1,80 kostet und ich für zwei Saucen schon 1,40 zahle. read more

ein typischer Fall von Kundenabzocke! Ich kann die positiven Kommentare nicht verstehen, ihr solltet echt mal in ein RICHTIGES Restaurant gehen. Diese Systemgastronomie verdient weder die Betitelung von Restaurant und schon gar nicht von Amerikanischem Restaurant. Das Personal ist völlig überfordert und schlecht geschult. Das Essen absolut überteuert für dieses niedrige Niveau. Ich habe mich auf einen Sonntag Abend LEIDER zu JimBlock überreden lassen 16 Euro für kaltes ungeniessbares Fastfood! read more

Die Jim Block Filiale befindet sich direkt auf einer Insel, wo die Busse halten und direkt neben der S-Bahnstation Othmarschen. Der Laden sieht modern aus und hat natürlich das Typische Konzept. Die Bedienung ist also schnell und das Essen ist zügig zubereitet. Ich mag das Essen sehr gern. Die Burger schmecken einfach viel besser als zum Beispiel bei McDonalds oder Burger King. Der Preis ist zwar etwas höher als bei diesen Ketten, aber es lohnt sich halt. read more

ganz nette systemgastronomie a la macdonalds, nur das es hier eindeutig besser schmeckt. Das Fleisch ist lecker und wird immer frisch zubereitet. nervig sind nur die Zusatzkosten bei ketchup und Majo die mit rund 40CENT!! zu Buche schlagen. Das ist schon echt heftig. Mittags ist hier immer die Hütte von den umliegenden Schulen voll, und man muss etwas zeit in kauf nehmen, was sich aber lohnt. read more

Keine 3Minuten vergehen und man kann seine Bestellung am offenen Küchenpass abholen... selbiges prinzip ist in den USA Gang und gebe. Dort dauert es nur länger! Die Preise können mit MC-Donalds und Co. locker konkurieren, zudem wird man hier richtig satt! read more

Eine angenehme Lage direkt am Bahnhof Othmarschen. Relative gut besetzt der Laden, aber einen Platzt findert man meistens immer. Die Qualität des Essen ist gut und die Preise auch im grünen Bereich. Werde wieder kommen! read more
