I use Schaefer Enterprises, Inc as my business insurance agency. They have always helped me find the right policies at affordable prices and I honestly never give a second thought to my insurance. UNTIL - Greg Schaefer (the President) suggested I consider renter's insurance. I have lived in NYC for 14 years and did not know a thing about it. Though I don't have a ton of valuables, Greg told me that if anything happened to my apartment or my valuables, I would be covered. It cost so little that I went ahead and signed up. Not even 2 MONTHS LATER, some pipe upstairs broke and I came home to a ruined leather couch and brand new 70 inch Sony LCD TV. I was devastated! And, guess what I learned? - The building is NOT RESPONSIBLE and nor are my upstairs neighbors. This is where renter's insurance kicks in - I got reimbursed for everything! Moral of the story - NYers NEED renter's insurance! And thanks to Schaefer Enterprises, I had it when I needed it. TTYL - I am going to watch TV now ;)

I'll be sending them a notice of non renewal of my car insurance I have had with them for decades (2 cars). Don't get much for customer loyalty these days. Avoid this company.
