And of course, that dentist recommends his colleague right around the corner to do the $4000 procedure. Business as usual. Well, we decided to get a second opinion, and Karen was recommended by a friend. Karen did a thorough evaluation, and informed us that my daughter's wisdom teeth were growing normally, not jagged or bursting, and that the procedure/extraction was not so drastically necessary right away. Ultimately, the procedure MAY need to be done for preventative purposes, but it wasn't an emergency, or even a foreseeable problem. It's reassuring and uplifting to know there are dentists like Karen; honest, comprehensive, and caring. Moreover, she takes the time to explain in-depth, what the future conditions might entail. Not like the other guys (and I presume, many dentists); trying to make a quick buck off unknowing clients via "drastic procedures". Karen is awesome.

I've been to lots of places that try to scare patients into unnecessary procedures in order to rake in the fees. Dr Duda is the antithesis of that style. He is very experienced and has a great chair-side manner. He was actually recommended to my wife by our pediatrician. My wife is crazy paranoid about her teeth - and has lots of horror stories by incompetent dental practices with terrible chair-side manner. This guy is really unassuming - but he is on a list of the top Drs in the Chicago area (sorry I don't have the specifics to cite it). So think about that -- he is well regarded by his peers and other medical professionals. This is not a guy that is just starting out -- he knows what he is doing. Bonus - he has classy music playing in the office... If you make it to the Plaza del Lago area in Wilmette - give it a shot.

From the moment I walk in the office my experience has always been positive: the staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and put me at ease throughout my entire visit. The dental assistant brought me in to the treatment area promptly, and efficiently took dental X-rays without a feeling of being rushed. This is my second root canal with Dr. Fayad who did the previous one as well. People who knew I was going for a "root canal" have terrible misconceptions about the procedure as well as the recovery. I had absolutely no discomfort during or after the procedure. I had the procedure yesterday at noon and as I write this review it is 9:30pm and my mouth has felt fine the entire time. I haven't needed any remedy for pain as I have had no discomfort! I feel so lucky to have been referred to Dr. Fayad (a kind, gentle, humble man who is a true leader in his field) and and with no hesitation or exaggeration state that he is the best And his staff is excellent. (And, his nurse called this morning to see how I was doing!) JoEllen K.

This review is a little late, but here it goes:…read more Around Thanksgiving I had noticed that a 6 yr. old crown was becoming discolored at the base, near my gum line. Subsequently I was experiencing some slight pain deep within tooth, noticeable every once in awhile. Due to a the occasional pain, my dentist suggested I visit the Endo and get their expert opinion before he put a brand new crown on a tooth; a tooth that possibly needed another root canal. My dentist gave me a referral to Park Ridge Endodontics I easily made an appointment at PR Endodontics. I arrived at my first appointment with my referral slip . Dr. C. asked me what was going on, examined the tooth and performed some tests, as well as more in-depth X-rays; X-rays my dentist couldn't provide. She did notice an area deep in my canal that needed to be retreated. She gave me several treatment options (pulling the tooth, leaving the tooth alone and doing nothing or root canal therapy). I chose the option that allowed me to keep my tooth intact. I made another appointment so that I could return for the root canal procedure several weeks later. Dr. C. cleaned and retreated my problem area and I was in and out of the office in no time. My tooth has been perfect ever since my visit with her. She was very kind, smart and explained what she was doing during the procedure. My treatment was taken care of in one visit and I was able to return to my general dentist for a new crown several weeks after. All my visits were done between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I really appreciated that. I was blessed with great dental coverage, so what I paid out-of-pocket was nominal in my opinion. I appreciated the reminder text messages about upcoming appointments. Super clean treatment areas and an inviting reception area. Friendly office staff. They answered my insurance questions with no trouble. Saturday hours! I've since moved away from the NW 'burbs, but I highly recommend PR Endodontics to family and friends still in the area.

I knew before my dentist told me that I needed the root canal and I didn't need to pay someone $125 to tel me that I needed a root canal. Had they been in network it would have been cheaper to do the work and had they been in my network I would have received a courtesy discount because I have year long waiting period. I REGRET paying the $125.00. If this business has any decency they will refund my money! FYI: In network root canal: $725 and out of network root canal $1200-$1500. Most people don't like getting dental work done, laying on the chair getting poked and prodded with needles, drilled, feeling your entire head vibrating with each turn of the drill. I was terrified, but Dr. Weisbart made me as comfortable as possible, making sure I wasn't in any pain or discomfort. I've been to other dentists who had an awful bedside manner and were just plain rough. Not the case here. Dr. Weisbart talked me through most of the procedure and didn't make me feel stupid for having a bad tooth. I was out of there in about an hour, and here I am the next day feeling almost no pain at all.
