I've been listening to this band since the '90s, so hearing them live was such a fun nostalgic night. Of course everybody gets older, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that... let's just say maybe Dispatch should now be called UB80. Bad joke, but it had to be done. let's face it. That's the dream to do what you love till you're dying day. I'm down for that. I'm definitely that girl. I'll go see you No matter what age if I love you! I love this outdoor amphitheater. The tickets were very reasonably priced, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it felt like the perfect starter concert to set the summer off right. I'm already planning my return for Sugar Ray and English Beat on July 23.A little tip: if you drink, the venue advertises cocktails, but it's mostly canned beverages. I'm sober so it didn't matter to me, but good to know ahead of time. Also bring cozy clothes because it definitely got chilly once the sun went down.Overall, such a great summer vibe and an easy five stars from me.

From the parking which was seventy-five steps to the main gate (we arrived two hours before show time), to the smooth entrance via the X-ray machine, the friendly employees, the easy access to the restroom, snack bar, souvenir booth and finally to our seats inside the venue. Everything was a smooth as can be when attending a concert. We only had kettle corn and even that was delicious. The sound here is AMAZING!! The view was perfect and the seats though hard, were comfortable. 8,000 seat venue is the prefect size to catch a concert and my family and I will definitely be returning here in the future

I was fortunate to attend a Banana Ball League game featuring the Savannah Bananas and Indianapolis Clowns. The Indy Clowns have a rich, pioneering history tracing back to the 1930s! It was about 7 to 8 minute walk from the Ayres Hotel. So can't really comment on parking for this particular game. Although exiting the game as a pedestrian was a challenge. For the OG yelpers, think of the video game, Frogger. At the gate, it was nice to be greeted by friendly greeters in banana suits! There were several yellow tents in the front selling Savannah Bananas merch and other Banana Ball League items. Although the lines were long, they kept it moving. The hubby and I were seated up in the upper level. It was a combo of an escalator and stairs to get up there. There are the big screens or just watching the action directly on the field from the upper level. In the latter part of the game, we took a break and went downstairs to to get Angel dogs and a drink. Those hot dogs hit the spot. The drinks were in a large commerative Angels plastic cup. Lines of course are long but they did a great job of keeping them moving. The Savannah Bananas/Indianapolis Clowns game was a good family-friendly experience at a nice ballpark. 4 stars.

Last night's show was SO FUN!! 1. Opener: Megan…read moreMcDuffee--beautiful vocals, danceable beat, lovely personality on stage. 2. Magic Sword--we'd seen them live at the Wiltern when they opened for Avatar in 2021. Three band members: drums, electric guitar and keyboard. Superbly entertaining, with their mythology about a magic sword that the keeper wields to fend off the evils of the universe. People in the audience were waving their LED blue swords and glow sticks along with the beat--exhilarating and mesmerizing! 3. Dance with the Dead --last saw them in San Diego in 2017, tried to see them again along with magic sword and avatar in 2020 but that was cancelled because of COVID, finally got to see them live last night and it was epic! No wonder this tour is called the FACE OFF tour! Dance with the Dead and Magic Sword brought their kick$&* danceable energy and the crowd went wild! So, the concert was 5/5! The venue was 4/5-love the intimate space, appreciated that the sound was balanced and not too loud. However, the parking situation was crazy. I realize the street construction by Santa Ana wasn't the venue's fault and they DID try to notify us that there would be detours... however, to designate three levels of parking as general-general; premier-general; and premier-premium is just stupidly confusing. We had the middle tier which made us think we went through the premier entrance but no, we had to do a U- turn in an already trafficky situation to go to the general entrance. Whatever. We got there. But maybe designate the tiers more succinctly and clearly?! Anyway the FACEOFF tour rocks! And the Observatory is still cool as a concert venue and we'll likely go again!

My first time here, but definitely not my last!…read more The Observatory is a fabulous venue in Santa Ana. Parking was easy for us as we'd purchased a pass and we arrived pretty early. The entrance process was licketty split - we carried everything in our pockets. Upon entering, there's a photo spot, merch off to the right, as well as a bar and outdoor seating. To the left of the entrance is a smaller room, this time used for vendors,, but I suspect could be a multi-use space as needed. Bathrooms - clean and well stocked throughout the night - are also this way. Up along a poster covered hallway, and into the concert area you go! There's the stage in the front and a bar in the back. It's GA here folks, but there's a balcony with seats above. We chose the first tier behind the dance floor as there's a standing bar/shelf that spans the railing which is great to lean on and space to put drinks down. The location was perfect for us - up high enough to see everything going on onstage, great view of the folks dancing, and again, offered a space for our drinks and a restful lean. The sound system and lighting effects were fantastic! The lighting perfectly fit the dark, moody, goth atmosphere while the music was as clean and powerful as you'd want. No muddy, echoy, indistinct sound here. And extra wonderful? A pumping AC that kept the packed house cool and fresh as everyone danced all night. Such a great concert and really, the perfect venue for it: intimate yet spacious enough for comfort. Really great venue!

The fair runs every summer from about mid‑July through mid‑August (this year July18-August17) and is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from around 11a.m.-11p.m., and Fridays & Saturdays until midnight -- lots of time for all the fun! Tickets are around $13 midweek and $15 on weekends for adults, $9 for seniors/kids (6-12), and free for kids 5 and under, and you can even get a $60 Every Day Passport to come anytime! Parking onsite is about $15 per car (and buses/limos around $30), with tons of parking and staff guiding you in -- even though it gets packed like Disneyland on summer nights! We always have the best time -- from grabbing pizza, pineapple fried rice, ice cream, boba, fried Oreos, or whatever catches our eye at the food vendors (prices vary by booth), to watching shows, visiting animals (the kids love that), and snapping so many fun photo ops! The atmosphere is amazing, the smells and lights are the best, and you seriously need like 10 hours to do it all -- we're so glad we went and can't wait to go back again next summer!

Parking is expensive and I often feel like I am getting taken advantage of, especially when I'm paying for the attraction or event and then additional fees for on-site parking. The grounds themselves are fine, about what I expect for a county fairgrounds. Reasonably well maintained and fairly clean so kudos to their custodial staff because many patrons and visitors are frankly pigs, dropping trash, food wrappers, and other refuse rather than walking to a trash receptical and disposing of it responsibily. Pacific amphitheater is a good place to see a show. Good acoustics and convenient location. It would be great if the management would invest back into the facilities. I'll return because there are events and shows that I want to attend at the oc fair and events center.
