For those who are fans it is a very nice memorial. I happened to be in Renton and decided to visit. Easy to get to and find.

Along with the Jimi Hendrix Park and the Jimi Hendrix Statue, there is a Jimi Hendrix Memorial which is also the resting place of the famous legend. Unlike the first two which are located in Seattle, this memorial is further away in Renton. The memorial is in the Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home and is right in front when you enter from Monroe Avenue. The memorial consists of etched portraits of Hendrix as well as quotes from some of his songs. In the center is a guitar tombstone that takes center stage. There is no dedicated parking in the area but you can temporarily park in the surrounding area of the gazebo while you check it out. It does affect cars coming through so you should not park there for too long. This was a very peaceful place and a great memorial.

This is an outstanding memorial and tribute to a rock and roll legend, Jimi Hendrix. When you park in the memorial parking, you will walk towards your right and the memorial stands alone. The memorial contains numerous pictures of Jimi, as well as guitar tombstone. This is a good place to visit if you are a fan of Jimi Hendrix's music and his rock and roll legacy.

Absolute must-visit for any musicians in the Seattle area. Memorial is well kept and honors the legacy of the late Jimi Hendrix appropriately with quotes, pictures, and a statue of one of Hendrix's Fender Stratocasters. A few people were confused on the final burial place of Jimi Hendrix, and I would like to confirm that it is in fact this location in Renton where he is buried and NOT the statue in downtown Seattle. Both monuments however represent the life and legacy of one of the greatest performers to ever live.

When I found out the Jimi Hendrix memorial was here I knew I had to come by to pay respects to one of the most influential musicians to rock this world. It was outside walking distance downtowns before turning in my rental I made sure to stop by the areas that needed driving to. So happy to get to visit the memorial. Quiet. Peaceful. Impactful. Rest In Peace Sir Jimi!

This spot was right across the street from where I was staying. It was easy to get to. We decided to visit around sunset and it made for beautiful views. The Memorial itself was absolutely gorgeous, clean and well kept. It wasn't crowded at all, in fact we were one of only two parties there. This is another place you should at least visit once.

Amazing memorial for Jimi Hendrix. The marble gazebo is beautiful and features some great lyrics and drawings etched into the stone. In the middle of the Gazebo is a beautiful guitar and just outside the gazebo is a sundial. Worth a visit to see if you're in the Seattle area.

I had no idea that this was truly where this musical legend was laid to rest. We were visiting my daughters in Seattle and looking for something to do for a few hours with them. I looked on Yelp to see attractions that were close to us and I found Jimi Hendrix Memorial. We figured we'd go check it out. I love to photograph old headstones and just cemeteries in general, so it sounded like it was right up my alley anyway. The memorial did not disappoint!! It was touching, yet sophisticated. We were the only people there, which was amazing!! I loved learning the history of iconic man and how much his family cared for him, even after his death. Go check it out if you haven't yet, my daughter's girl friend grew up in Seattle and had never been there!!

Back in the day there was nothing......I repeat, NOTHING better than smoking some "good stuff", laying down and throwing on the headphones and listening to Jimi Hendrix. It took you to a different world. Words cant even describe how good it sounded. Nowadays even without the "good stuff", Jimi Hendrix music is still the best! I decided to take a drive out to his memorial today. I arrived and nobody else was there. I snapped a few pictures and sat there in awe with Hendrix playing in my mind. It was a great time. The memorial is really impressive. Its huge! It also has lyrics to Angel, Voodoo Child and Little Wing on the columns of the memorial. Its surrounded by purple flowers. I'm glad I got to see it. RIP James Marshall Hendrix.....the greatest guitar player of all time!

Excuse me while I kiss the sky! The new James Marshall Hendrix memorial is spectacular. The Hendrix family really went all out to upgrade Jimi's final resting spot. I applaud them for not only giving Jimi & The Hendrix Family a beautiful viewing place location, but the Hendrix family also gave the fans who pay homage to Jimi an area they can spend some time, light a candle or even play a tune should they bring an instrument. Jimi's new grave site also allows people interact with Jimi and not to trample on other people's graves as in the past. I'd say this is the best musicians gravesite I've paid my respects to. Grab a candle & some picks and go pay tribute to Jimi, it's the least you can do to salute an ICON!

Easy to find. Visited the lovely memorial before road tripping back to MN. Hard to grasp his tremendous talent and impact on the world. Respect. Lipstick kisses everywhere.

Amazing as you would expect . A beautiful memorial for a legend . Must see not just for Hendrix fans but anyone that can appreciate music history or cemeteries

Opened in 2003, the Jimi Hendrix Memorial was a project spearheaded by his father Al. Originally buried in a normal grave at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Al wanted to create a monument worthy of his son's musical legacy. Unfortunately Al didn't get to see the completed project--he died two months before it's opening. On each of the walls of the memorial, there are etchings of Jimi's likeness along with lyrics from his most famous songs. The center of the monument was supposed to house a statue of the guitar god, but it has never made it to the spot--if it even exists. Much of the Hendrix estate has been contested among the family members and many suggest the statue remained in limbo as a result of that family discord. There's a large parking garage where we left our car and then enjoyed walking around admiring the aesthetically pleasing Hyatt. There's even some outdoor gathering spots with fire pits and comfy couches! The showstopper though is without a doubt Water's Table restaurant with gorgeous views of the lake, an innovative menu, and beautiful plating. I keep this place on my date night list whenever the husband asks me where I'd like to go. Perfect spot to enjoy dinner, the sunset, and a walk along the water after.

They aren't owned nor managed by a single company. The Bristol Apartments, for example, is owned by one investment company that is different than the empty towers and the Hyatt is a Hyatt property. It's a bit confusing if this review is for the neighborhood? Do we review neighborhoods now? And it is for all intents and purposes a neighborhood. There's one road in and one road out with the Hyatt, the Bristol, Tra, Peyrassol, the Seattle Family Center, Dock and Drink, and Water's Table filling out the portfolio. It is very pleasant with Coulon Beach Park next door and excellent viewing of fireworks when that resumes. With the parking garage there's plenty of parking though I cannot stress more than ever do not leave any valuables in sight in your vehicle. Southport may be isolated, but that isn't a deterrent for thieves. Personally I'd recommend parking where there's foot traffic since the upper levels are vacant I've only seen smashed out windows at those levels. And it is a pleasant place! In the summers it is busy. The water is so close and the views amazing. I love the four restaurants. It can get loud, and with the exception of a few incidents in 2020 due to people being angry about the mandates at the time it is a very safe space where families, dog walkers, and cute couples gather. Many a wedding takes place in the warmer months so it isn't uncommon to see beautiful gowns and fancy tuxedos, though I'm partial to the Indian weddings since the guests come in beautifully colored saris. There is a lot of diversity at the waterfront and that makes it a wonderful place to be. The winters can be busy too with Coulon Beach Park putting up lights for the holidays and Argosy cruises bringing the Christmas boats by. I always appreciate the carolers. I only wish people would acknowledge the road properly. Drivers ignore the speed limit signs, occasionally just stop in the middle street, or try to double park. Pedestrians often aren't much better because though there's a great sidewalk that connects the docks to the Bristol running up to Coulon Beach Park they'll just walk down the middle of the road like it's a bike path. I have seen a few close calls with pedestrians almost being hit because they're walking down the road instead of the sidewalk. It is a great area.

Seeing Seattle from that height gives you a completely new appreciation for the city and its surroundings. What made the visit even more enjoyable was the staff. Every employee I encountered was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. Their warmth made the experience feel even more special, and it was clear they take pride in creating a positive atmosphere for visitors. One observation I did have relates to the elevator experience. It has been two years since my last visit, and unfortunately, the elevator's video system is still not functioning. I remember when the observatory first opened, and the video played during the ride up--it added an engaging and memorable element to the experience. Without it, the ride feels noticeably less enjoyable. Interestingly, others seemed to feel the same way. I mentioned how long the video system has been out of service while riding up, and a couple riding up with us--visiting from Australia--commented that it would have been nice to have something to watch during the ascent. As an alternative, it might be a wonderful opportunity for the elevator operator to share a few interesting facts during the ride up. A brief, engaging introduction--highlighting that this is the tallest building in Seattle, along with a bit of history about its construction and facts about its tenants--could really enhance the experience and help pass the time in a meaningful way. Additionally, with all three video screens currently not working and visibly cracked, addressing this issue would make a noticeable difference. Either repairing or replacing the screens--or even temporarily covering them--would create a much more polished and welcoming feel for visitors and help elevate the overall experience. You can't beat the view though!

The experience felt much more laid back, with fewer crowds and plenty of space to take in the views. It is also technically taller than the Space Needle. The observatory floor goes all the way around and has lots of helpful information and displays explaining what you're looking at, which made the experience more engaging than simply taking photos from an observation deck. There's also a café w/ bar upstairs, making it easy to relax and spend some time enjoying the scenery. One of the biggest advantages is that you get incredible panoramic views of Seattle including the Space Needle itself, which makes for some great photo opportunities. We got lucky and it was a beautiful afternoon and were able to watch the sunset from there. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the overall value, this ended up being one of my favorite stops in Seattle.
