I'm usually not a cold sandwich person but we were in Rochester visiting family and needed a quick bite on our way to the hospital. We actually went twice since it was so convenient to our location. The restaurant is small but kept clean. The staff were super friendly and quick. Both visits I ordered a sandwich and my husband ordered wraps. They were both very good. Unlike other sandwich shops, they provide a decent amount of meat and toppings versus other sandwich shops. I've been to other similar sandwich shops in the past that are so skimpy with the meat and all bread. If you are in the area, this is a convenient, friendly sandwich shop. read more

poor service at this Jimmy John's. They wouldn't put any condiments on the sandwich, but gave us one packet of Mayo for an entire sandwich. Then we askEd them to cut the sandwich in thirds and they refused to do that, too, saying that they could cut it in half, but that was as much as they could do. And then, when we open the sandwich, they didn't even cut it in half! Sandwiches are OK but this customer service was awful. read more

My hubby loves Jimmy John's so we did an online takeout order. 3 subs. All were perfectly prepared as we ordered. The pick up experience was no-contact, since we paid online there is a shelf so just look for you name and go. They make it easy. We'll go back especially since we joined their rewards program. We get delivery from here regularly. I really like the lettuce wraps when I'm feeling like I don't want tons of carbs. The food is made fresh and is at our door usually within 15-20 minutes of ordering. The delivery drivers are courteous. Our favorite is the Club LuLu sandwich. read more

Best place for cold subs in Rochester. The bread is awesome, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is FAST. They pride themselves on being lightning quick and it is true. I can walk in, buy my sub, and walk out in under 2 minutes every time. Subs are the "in-between size" (8-9 in), so you don't get that stuffed feeling like you do with a loaded foot long and you aren't left wanting more like with a 6 inch. Love their turkey sub. Best in town. Flexible hours, fast service is handy when I only have a 30 minute or so break.

Such good reviews I had to try it.. We were from out of town staying nearby in a hotel. We called in our order and waited, waited and waited.. 1 1/2 hours later I called to find out what was going on. I was informed that our order had been delivered and they had our signature. I think they thought we were trying to scam them. They got the delivery driver on the phone and he states our children came to the lobby and led him to our room.. That's funny. We weren't traveling with our children. Zero kids in our room unless you count us being childlike at times. The lady on the phone (begrudgingly) states they'll make more and send it over as soon as they can. So I am a little angry and I go downstairs to our front desk clerk and ask her to call because she didn't see them come in either. - In a rush to correct their error they delivered it in less than 15 minutes. The driver apologized and stated that the food was delivered to the wrong hotel. Some kids there cabbaged on the error and stole the food and signed our name. They gave us our meal and free cookies we didn't order. The food was amazing but I was also starving by that time. We called a second time since the food was so good the first time and they were at the hotel so fast that I didn't think it could be the food at the door. So, in spite of their mistake I will give them 4 stars for being great to correct the error and the food being so good both times.. Thanks! read more

Jimmy Johns has 2 types of sandwich, a sub and a club. Now I've only been to a JJ's a few times, but I understand the difference. However if you order a sub on wheat, they give it to you on square sandwich bread. If I wanted a club, I'd have ordered a club. Nope, apparently they lack the technology to make a wheat sub. The peeps there are cool and do their job well but that's a lame policy. I woulda had them remake it but was already in a hurry despite their "freaky fast" creation. The food itself, eh. So, first time I had Jimmie Johns was in Florida; excellent. Then moved back up north and visited the new location in our home town of Detroit Lakes. It was ok, but the employees could have been a little friendlier. Regardless, I would occasionally stop in just to buy the bread because I loved it! Now, it's been a couple of years and a few diets later when I find myself needing some lunch at an establishment that would accommodate a semi tractor and trailer hence this location. Staff didn't smile, rushed us through (I get that part) but the worst was the sandwiches!! O M G, tasteless. My husband added onions to his #10 which made it tolerable. But my #16 had very little meat, a smatter of mayo but the travesty? the BREAD WAS STALE!!!! My husbands too. I'm going to check out my local JJ's when I get home to see if it is the new norm or an isolated incident. read more
