I've been going to this salon every two weeks for over two years--I'll never go anywhere else in town! The owners Lily and Phillip are so helpful and kind. They take walk-ins every day but I always book an appt because I like to plan my day around my errands. They offer dip, gel, regular and/or acrylic manicures and gel/regular pedicures with several options at varying prices. I get a gel manicure on an acrylic set filled two weeks, getting new sets as needed for growth. Phillip has never once hurt me or messed up a nail! He's actually the only person I trust to give me a pedicure and he is very gentle with my ingrown toenails. I could go on for hours about this place, I recommend it to all of my friends! They also play HGTV all day seriously what's not to love!! read more

This place used to be really good but the last few times I have gone (over a span of about two years ) they have gone downhill. All of the regular nail polish looks incredibly old and dried up. They seriously need to throw away most of it and replenish it with fresh new colors. Not everybody wants a gel manicure or fake nails I mean what is the deal also they don't even have the air conditioner on and it's 85° today and it was very hot inside. Unfortunately I will not be coming here again because it has been disappointment after disappointment each time I have gone. read more

If I could give less I would. Walked in and asked if they could do a pedicure-they said yes and put me in a chair. I sat for 40+ minutes and finally asked how much longer and was told 20 minutes. Just be honest and say come back in an hour or we can't today. Wasted so much time unnecessarily! Be an honest business and I will go out of my way to support you. read more

This nail salon is excellent! After a girls day out, we took our nieces to get pampered and the staff really delivered! We got two pedicures, a set of acrylic nails (for the teenager), and manicure (for the preteen). We all left happy, relaxed, and loving our nails! read more

To begin with this review is for Jimmy's Nails, Mountain Brook AL, not California. Not sure what's up with that but .... My husband and I went in for a mani-pedis. He had a pedicure. I had a manicure AND a pedicure and was finished within 5 minutes of his pedicure. It was sooo rushed. They certainly have the assembly-line process down pat. The atmosphere is blah, the employees didn't seem particularly happy to see us, the shop is so full of 'stuff', it's hard to move. There is absolutely nothing but location going for this place. Not a fan. I will spend my $100 somewhere else next time. read more

I do not think that they use clean tools on each client. Every time I've gone in to get a pedicure the buffer and files have white residue on them leading me to believe that they have been used on other clients. I also always feel that soreness in my feet that makes me think they aren't using clean tools. Go elsewhere. read more

I'm not a gal that needs her nails and toes done at all times. However when I do get them done this has become my go to place. The staff is always sweet and patient with my VERY ticklish feet. I usually get a basic pedicure and it seems to last until my nails grow. The staff is able to balance both being chatty if you're in the mood or are totally fine if you need to zone out. They defiantly have a 100 from the Health Department and have 8 pedicure chairs. They are located in Crestline, where all the shops are delightfully tight. read more

A friend recommended this place to me, and since I wanted to get coffee from Church Street next door it worked out nicely. I was a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon, so I was afraid I would have to wait a long time. Even though the place was busy (every employee had a customer) I only had to wait about 5-10 minutes. The decor isn't really anything out of the ordinary or very fancy, but that isn't super important to me. There were lots of polish colors to pick from, and I decided on getting gel. To just get gel polish (no manicure) is only $22, which I think is very reasonable. Two different employees worked with me, and they both did an excellent job. They did not make much small talk during my visit, but that's not a deal breaker for me. The service was fast and I was out the door in no time. I see more visits in my future! After you finish head over to Church Street for some coffee or grab lunch at Taco Mama right down the street -- great location for a fun Saturday around town. read more

The nail technicians did a great job! Did a walk-in and let my previous gel manicure soak for 20 minutes while finishing another client and then proceeding with my new manicure. Shaped my nails to my liking (which is hard to get even if you ask at other salons) and cleaned up my cuticles very nicely! My only negative comment was that some of the colors on the gel nails were different when they went on your nail. Took about 5 nails polishes til we found one I liked and matched what was actually on the display but overall, I am glad I went and will be going back. $35 too for a gel mani! read more

I'm writing this because there is only one review for this place and I fell into the "oh it's in Crestline Village it has to be good" trap. Sadly, it is one of the dirtiest and most cramped nail salons I've ever been to. Everything in there is worn, outdated and dirty. Plus it's small, there are only about 4 pedicure chairs and 4 manicure stations. When I was walking out I noticed they only got an 85/100 on their health rating. I've never seen a score that low. They have your standard $30, $40 and $50 pedicure, so if you're in the market for a manicure or pedicure, I'd spend your money somewhere that is a bit cleaner and nicer. The one upside was they have a wide and current selection of all the great home, food, celebrity and local magazines. read more

I have always been a big fan of jimmys nails but today I went in and had a new female staff member there put a full set on my nails. She cut up two of my fingers with a nail file and they are very thick. I would recommend the usual staff but not the new lady! You can see the cuts from the file on the two fingers. read more

I read the review from 2015 and am amazed that it said how dirty it was. I found it to be just the opposite. They use disposable liners for each client, are very thorough, and super friendly and attentive to special requests. And they have a ton of well organized and great nail colors. I love this nail salon. The people there are so kind and professional, and they take more time and put forth more effort than any salon I've ever been to. While the space is small and isn't very modern, they do a perfect job for a lower price than most, so it is definitely worth it. They also give a student discount on top of their low prices.
