Hard to believe it's been a year since our last visit so we had to return to this enjoyable Italian restaurant. Salad and bread are included with the entrees and the pans are two meals in one. Jimmy Seas is not shy with the cheese so sauces are rich. We arrived and saw the same staff but my expectations were not met. People were friendly and welcoming but the salad was average at best and my chicken parm had watery marinara sauce. Portion size remains abundant but the quality has declined. Perhaps we had an off night but I will think twice about returning this season. 3.5 stars read more

If you're in the area trying to see fall foliage and forget to make dinner reservations, you're in for a rough time in Lincoln. We managed to walk-in at Jimmy Seas. Food was reasonably priced, and pretty tasty. The butternut squash ravioli, chicken hazel, seafood pasta, and mushroom risotto. Our favorites were in that order. The service was slowwww. People in the woods tend to operate at slower pace of life, so don't expect timely service. Most of their cream sauces were some variation of an Alfredo sauce, so fyi if you don't like Alfredo sauce. We were simple - we got waters and ordered the linguine carbonara. so we went with that! The portions are big so we just split that and then added on an extra salad for the app. The bread was super fresh and the salad was good - I liked the dressing that came on it. The carbonara was really heavy but so damn good! It was perfect for sharing. We ate every single bit. Our waitress was great and very helpful with answering any questions we had. The food was so delicious! I am gluten free, so I had the gluten free pasta, and it was great. Everyone loved what they got. I do wish they didn't add cracked pepper to the dishes, as I kept getting pieces and had to spit them out, but luckily it wasn't a ton. I would also suggest to please use a different cleaner. Every time they sprayed a table down to clean, it was all I could smell for the next 10 minutes or so and I'm extremely sensitive to chemical smells. This was incredibly strong is especially horrible to smell while eating. I will not remove a star for this, but would live if they'd take my feedback into consideration. Had a wonderful dinner experience here! On a whim, we chose Jimmy Seas being that most other restaurants in the area had closed at 8:30pm. The food and service did not disappoint. We had Laura as a server, who gave the BEST experience! She gave us some suggestions of her favorite meal choices, all of which were amazing. The restaurant is very small, but we were seated immediately on a Thursday night at 7:30pm. Menu items we enjoyed included roasted garlic with fresh bread, mussels in red sauce, seafood soup, lobster ravioli, and the shrimp pesto cream pasta. Everything was cooked to perfection. The pasta is served in the pan it's cooked in, and the serving sizes are definitely on the larger side. Laura visited the table just enough, making small talk with us as well. Solid food. I ate the MV location a few times. My big issue that they charge $12 to split a meal. Claiming you gotta pay for the salad and bread. For a high end spot that's ok, but if it's so high then bread needs to be fresh and not mass factory stuff. Also, I need real parmesan cheese. Our GPS had a hard time finding this place and their sign on the main road is very small and not easy to find. Once you find the sign it is hard to figure out where the restaurant is exactly located - it is in the shopping center on the upper floor in the back corner. The restaurant setup is strange but I guess the best use of the space they have. There was a sign to walk thru the restaurant to the bar to be seated - a bit strange... The ambiance is quite weird. They are trying way to hard to be old school "mafia-esque" Italian. It feels like it is staged and not authentic. And they also still had Christmas wreaths up. The prices are quite expensive but worth it - the portion and flavors were good. If you want water, spend the extra $ to get bottled water - as my son said their tap water literally tasted like the pool water he just got out of! Our food though - was good. I had the traditional bolognese, which I have to give them credit for because what most places serve as bolognese is actually just a red meat sauce which is not what it is. Their bolognese had all the classic ingredients and taste but had way too much oregano and other seasoning that felt dry in your mouth and took away from the great flavor the dish had. My sister and son shared the fettucini alfredo and I had to steal some - it was the best alfredo sauce I have ever had! Your pasta is served in a frying pan - and the portions are huge. As much as we were mad from the last visit, we figured we would give it another try as we really do love this place. The food is always delicious and great portions, the service when we have Laura or Jelena is always excellent, always request them you won't be disappointed. The ambiance is laid back, especially at the time we went, and we closed it down. We explained our last visit and concerns and previous bad review they really understood and were very apologetic about the last visit. We truly understand, and they promised that would never happen again. They are both really great people who care about the customers' needs. We had Laura pick our dishes, and they were amazing. We began dining at Jimmy Seas shortly after it opened several years ago at its Lincoln, NH location. We have consistently received delicious meals and great service through the years. It's very well managed. The food is served very quickly and is received super hot. The sliced bread is served warm, with a delicious garlic infused olive oil. All entrees come with a complimentary large family style bowl of salad. You will most likely leave with leftovers to take home with you...we do every time we dine there. Found small pieces of plastic and the hard bits of garlic in my broccoli chicken ziti in my pasta, the owner came out and came out with a piece of garlic saying that the chef keeps the hard ends of the garlic in their sauce. He didn't apologize at all for the fact that my entire garlic sauce was hard inedible bits and I had found plastic (claiming that it was the garlic skin that doesn't degrade when cooked down??) Beyond that all the sauces are so watered down they're essentially soup and the pasta is essentially flavorless We waited 1.5 hours when the tables weren't even full. Our server had an amazing attitude and she was actually the one that took back the dish and removed it from our bill, but given that we couldn't even get an apology from the owner and he refused to offer any compensation and it had to come from our server (he's the type of owner to care about making every dollar) - we will not be dining here and do not recommend supporting this owner! lovely wait staff though!! TLDR: PSA - garlic sauce here has inedible hard garlic ends in it and inedible plastic (that the owner calls garlic skin) and according to the owner only I didn't know that garlic sauces came like this so just a warning in case u didn't know either! Restaurant is a hidden gem! I didn't know this place existed until Ivana from South Mountain Resort next door suggested it as a place to go for my birthday. She couldn't have made a better suggestion. Laura provided excellent service. I had the Frutti Di Mare which was outstanding, it was loaded with little neck clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops served over perfectly cooked linguine. I requested it in a white wine garlic broth instead of the red sauce and they were more than accommodating. It was served in a frying pan and was easily enough for two. Save your money and go to Olive Garden. our first experience at this restaurant was fantastic we couldn't wait to go back. Our second experience was one of my most disappointing dining experiences to date. First our "family style" Caesar salad was brought out with maybe a handful of lettuce and I kid you not four croutons. Next one of our entrées was brought out before our appetizer. The staff looked offended when we asked them to take it back. Now any restaurant at this incredibly high price point should've re-cooked that entrée Not just out of obligation but out of pride... nope they didn't even keep it warm. They just brought it back 15 minutes later with the original spoon still buried under the sauce. Our other entrées were raw shrimp and pan seared scallops that looked like they were boiled. When we asked if they had Parmesan cheese, they pointed us to the pizza parlor shakers on the table. A restaurant that's gonna price their menu like a fine dining experience should behave as such and take pride in their product. I think you'd find better service at a McDonald's. $40+ dollar entrées should be on time, warm, and fully cooked. I also don't think it's unreasonable to ask for grated Parmesan At an expensive Italian restaurant. The staff was clearly offended that we dare to ask for things like cooked food and extra plates. Save your money save your time and save your stomach. This place has gone down hill further than any restaurant I've ever seen. read more

3 of us went to Jonny Seas Pan Pasta last night, Oct 4, 2023. Food & service were excellent! As it's name suggests, the Italian meals were served in 12" pans w/ handles. I ordered shrimp scampi fra-diavalo (not on menu) but the cook did it up superbly! ... to include 12, yes 12, medium-sized shrimp over my choice of spaghetti cooked "al dente". Fra-diavalo was spicy hot! My wife & adult daughter "shared" a ziti bolognese loaded w/ meat, celery, mushrooms, onions & carrots (maybe a touch of red wine!) and, of course, ziti cooked "al dente". Sharing cost of $12 included a family-style garden salad of lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, carrots & green peppers w/ a balsamic vinaigrette house dressing. We 3 had water served in a bottle w/ requested lemon wedges. Oh, btw, we had 2 baskets of crispy Italian bread w/ a side of garlic & oil for dipping. Are u hungry yet? On the dessert menu was tiramisu, cannoli & panna cotte. We passed cuz we were stuffed! When we find an Italian restaurant whose sauce is excellent I don't mind paying a higher price. Johnny Seas was not fine dining giving you more than enough food even bringing some home. Too many reviews don't offer much insight into the quality of the food. If a restaurant's food & service is not of high quality I don't bore & bother myself even writing a review. Here's the proof: We met up w/ my wife's brother this morning who was excited to take us to his favorite Italian restaurant . . . you guessed it, Johnny Seas in the Village Shopping Center on the main rd, ry I route 112 in the heart of Lincoln New Hampshire. Going out for dinner in Lincoln is difficult. Most places including 'Jimmy Seas' are short on staff. We went to Gordy's and Common Man and they were jammed. When we got to Jimmy's we were meet by a short line. There was no one at the entrance and no one seemed to know what was going on. A member of the wait staff appeared said they were short staffed and would seat people as diners finished. As people came out they all said it was worth the wait. We were seated in about 20 minutes. Our server brought a chilled bottle of water, bread and olive oil. She was very attentive and we had a very enjoyable dinner. My wife especially enjoyed her cosmopolitan. Highly recommend. read more

We come to Lincoln often and was intrigued to find a new restaurant option - in the rather outdated and somewhat abandoned strip mall that we used to walk through as kids, they're on the second floor where the ambiance is lacking through no fault of the restaurant owners. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. Meals include free bread and salad. We ordered the Zappa so Pesce, Chicken Gamberetto, and a chicken dish with a cream sauce and tomatoes. Everything was very good, not quite on par with our favorite Italian restaurants, but for Italian in the White Mountains featuring mostly fresh seafood dishes, absolutely worth visiting and returning. The portions were very big, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. Our daughter stopped eating to save room for dessert. They only had tiramisu and cannoli as option, but to be perfectly honest, the cannoli was one of the best I've ever had. It was a thick ricotta cream, but not an overpowering ricotta flavor- hard to describe but very tasty. It was a bit quiet when we visited, so I hope more people come so we can visit when we come back to Lincoln. read more

Knowing we would have leftovers, we decided not to share a dish, and got cheese ravioli, and shrimp with garlic cream over linguine. The food was all great, I was especially impressed with the tomato sauce on the ravioli; though it was quite oily it was very well seasoned and not too sweet like most restaurants. I also got the Peanut Butter & Jealous martini (peanut butter whiskey, raspberry liquor, half & half), which was intriguing. Meh. So we went to the Loon location which is inside of a mall. We were sat on the balcony. There were groups of kids running around being super loud - even running past our table. They weren't fellow dinners just kids whose parents were apparently in the brewery next door. The food servings size was HUGE and def could have been shared. The ragu was the best sauce by far. The pasta did not taste hand made, which I think should be common place with quality Italian. If we were in the area we would come back but it wouldn't be our first choice. read more

The yellow pamphlet was flapping on the windshield as we drove toward the Kancamagus Highway. Pulling to the side of the road we grabbed it and saw the promise of a free garlic appetizer at Jimmy Seas. Garlic! Free! That's all hubby had to hear. We started with the promised roasted garlic appetizer which is in a delicious pool of warm, herbed olive oil and served with fresh bread. I'm sure garlic will be oozing from our pores for days but it's a risk we gladly took. Hubby had an item from the specials menu, lobster scampi. A generous serving of lobster in a delicious white wine, butter, garlic and lemon sauce served over linguine. Delicious! I had the butternut squash ravioli in a creamy cheesy sauce spiced with nutmeg and fresh sage. I loved the generous amount of filling visible when cutting the ravioli in half. Another hit! Meals are served with a green salad freshly dressed with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and herbs and fresh, crusty bread. Our server, Jelena (hope I got the right) was kind, attentive, and friendly.
