The rustic New England charm is just undeniable and never fails! The atmosphere at Common Man is incredibly cozy, welcoming, and perfect whether you're stopping in for a casual meal or a drink after spending time on the slopes It's the best feeling lounging around a nice fire, sipping a nice cold beer and enjoying some great food. The food is excellent - comfort food done right. A nice menu with great variety and a specials daily menu. Paired with excellent service, Common Man makes for a wonderful dining experience on all fronts. Looking forward to taking another trip there.

Everything about this restaurant made us feel cozy and right at home. The food portions are generous and just what we needed after a cold day outside. They have lots of tables (2 floors), but also are super popular and busy. I read from other reviews to get there early to avoid the rush. We decided on a very early dinner at 4:30PM on a Saturday and by the time we left (~5:30PM), there was a long wait for a table. I think that speaks for itself on how much people want to eat here. Our server always checked in on us and made sure we were enjoying our food and time there and they have complimentary crackers, dip, and white chocolate at the end. I would recommend this place for anyone visiting the area, especially after a long day at Loon!

Goodbye dinner with friends at this venerable restaurant in Lincoln, NH. The dining room is a perfect setting for New England-radiates warmth. Complimentary cheese and crackers are offered as well as white chocolate for dessert. Jamie, our waitress, was a hoot and kept the six of us extremely amused. My meat loaf was very good and smothered in gravy. The tomato basil soup app was tasty as well. Plenty of food, drink, company for a very reasonable amount.

After a full day of exploring the Kancamagus Highway--hiking, chasing waterfalls, and pretending we were in a travel commercial--I was ready for one thing: a good cocktail. We ended up at The Common Man, and it turned out to be a very uncommon treat. They kick things off with whimsical little offerings of creamy cheese and crackers, which instantly won me over. My potato chip-crusted haddock was fantastic--perfectly cooked and just the right amount of crunch to make me wonder why we're not coating everything in potato chips. My cocktail, crafted by our lovely server, was so good I rewarded myself with a second round (self-care, right?). We closed with a brownie à la mode that officially ended the day on a high note--decadent, warm, and worth every step we took earlier to "earn" it. Now, about the host... let's just say he might've missed the "common courtesy" part of the name. Our first impression was rocky--borderline rude, actually--and we almost left. But I'm so glad we didn't, because our server completely redeemed the night with her humor, warmth, and top-notch service. Bottom line: skip the attitude at the door, stay for the cocktails, the haddock, and the hospitality that kicks in once you're seated.

Cozy larger diner style restaurant with a big menu to please anyone. They also have a little shop with local items. Went on a Monday at dinner time and there was a 45 min waitlist so prepare for a possible wait or make a reservation ahead. Once seated, there is a complimentary cheese and cracker table. You're also given a nice dinner roll and crumb cake type roll in a bread basket. The pot roast was cooked nicely and had a heavy gravy sauce. The roast itself was a mid tier cut of meat, could've been trimmed a bit better though still fine. Beans and mashed potatoes were good and complemented the roast nicely. Got the apple sangria from the fall flavor menu. It was just okay but would've ordered something else instead. However, the apple cider cake was absolutely phenomenal. Wonderful strong apple flavor baked right into the cake and the frosting was the perfect amount of sweetness. I would definitely suggest saving room for dessert if everything on their menu is that amazing. Thanks

Had a great time the food was delicious and we enjoyed our dinner service was a bit off and not to attentive but the server was young and distracted. The restaurant had two floors and plenty of seating. Would definitely come back when in the area

Spectacular experience. Got there right when they opened. You'll definitely be waiting if you show up later as it's a very busy spot. Which it should be. Service is so good and so fast. We loved the crackers and cheese you can help yourself to at anytime. Food was spectacular. Best dinner near the mountain by far

A charming restaurant with great service and a pleasant atmosphere. The food was solid overall -- appetizers and cocktails were especially good. The only disappointment was the steak, which wasn't quite up to par. Everyone else at our table enjoyed their entrees, though, so I'd definitely go back to try something different.

We were welcome basically by everyone who crossed path with us. This is our first trip to this part of NH and we arrived just in time for dinner. The ambiance was very welcoming and pleasant, we had Brian as server (was being trained but he was amazing) He was very pleasant and attentive and made our dinner a more enjoyable experience. Both of our dishes were pretty good, the complimentary crackers and cheese, the cut up white chocolate at the end and signing the book makes this place a very memorable one. Thank you for the amazing experience!

We visit this spot every time we're in the White Mountains. We started with the corn dip (elote, Texas-style), which was delicious--I'd give it a 4.8 out of 5, though it would have been perfect with some cilantro. Next, we had the pesto haddock, a usual favorite, and this time it was even better thanks to extra pesto--definitely a 5 out of 5. We also tried the Mac and cheese burger. The burger and fries were excellent (5 out of 5), but the Mac and cheese itself was a letdown--more like buttered noodles with barely any cheese, so just a 1 out of 5 for that. Lastly, we ordered the New England pot roast. Compared to what I'm used to in Texas, this version was sliced and served with brown gravy, which I didn't care for--1 out of 5. However, the mashed potatoes and green beans were solid at 4.5 out of 5. Service was outstanding as always. We'll definitely keep coming back.

There weren't many people lined up, but we still ended up waiting about 30 min for a table. This seems to be caused by a lack of staff - we noticed tables weren't being cleaned up for a good 10-15 min after people left, and waitresses were rushing around. Honestly from what we observed - they could slash their waiting time by half by being more efficient and/or hiring busboys. But moving on. Food was definitely worth the wait! Boyfriend and I both had the "Cadillac" breakfast (because, well, our car) and we both loved it. He had pancakes with it and I had French toast - I *loved* the French toast. Delicious. Boyfriend also had a side of corned beef hash and I had a bite - it was my first time trying corned beef and I liked it a lot! He liked it too, and says he's usually picky with that dish, so... Roasted beets, feta and walnuts over mesculin greens. It was dressed with a flavorful maple balsamic vinaigrette. My husband and I both ordered the Karen cuts of prime rib done medium. The entrees arrived well past medium, which there should be no excuse for at 5 pm. The vegetable of the day was corn on the cob, which was as you would expect, overcooked and mushy. We splurged on dessert of chocolate mousse, which was unremarkable. It wasn't our worst meal of the trip, but definitely wasn't the best either. Final note, some of the tables have these giant chairs, shown in my pictures, that are too low (I told the waitress I might need a booster seat) and too heavy to even move yourself. My husband had to get up and push my chair closer to the table. I'd rate it no higher than 3.5 and since I can't give half stars, I will give a 4 because the salad was so good. Do better with your prime rib, since it seems to be what customers brag about, though I'm not sure why.

Having stayed two nights at the Kancamagus Lodge, I found myself compelled to eat breakfast here both mornings. Brittanny's Cafe is a small, country-style restaurant located within the Kancamagus Lodge Main Building. Attached is an outdoor patio for dining in fair weather. In addition, a wall of windows allow views of the indoor pool facilities at this establishment. Upon entering, a hostess immediately sat us, provided us with menus, and took drink orders to begin the meal. The menu offers a variety of options ranging from omelets, pancakes, french toast, etc. Apparently known for their unique omelet ingredients, I opted to test out the relatively tame bacon, ham, and sausage omelet. The bf tried out one mixed with peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and more! Unlike many places who dice their ingredients into itty bitty pieces, these omelets are filled with largely sliced portions. In a few words, they were fresh, cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. Day two, I ordered the pancakes with bacon, home fries, and toast. The pancakes were fluffy, light, and completely hit the spot. Bacon was cooked to near crispiness, home fries soft, flavorful, and plentiful. Lastly, the thickly sliced toast with butter was a perfect way to round out the meal. Bottomless cups of coffee made it a little easier to get going in the morning and search out the adventures easily found around every corner in NH. Service was quick and efficient, waitresses personable and accommodating. Almost all options on the menu were under $10. I wish I had the opportunity to eat here for dinner (as they do not appear to serve lunch) but will certainly keep this place in mind if I am to ever return in the future.

Our server, Jordan, was prompt, professional, and had some helpful recommendations. Versus most restaurants on the main road in Lincoln I'd say the prices here are a bit higher and the portions are a bit smaller, but the quality is a significant step up too. Salmon was great, and I really enjoyed the risotto in particular. The salad also had an apple cider vinegarette dressing that felt very homemade (I think there were little chunks of apple in it). The Rhythm Ciders were fantastic, the flight came with generous 5 ounce pours (the seasonal was my personal favorite). Our experience was far from that described in some of the negative reviews. Our server checked on us a number of times, the manager came by two or three times, and everything came exactly as ordered. Maybe there were some growing pains when they first moved to this space, but they've certainly been worked out now--this will be a go-to for us when we want a nicer dinner in the area.
