My daughter lives in Layton and I called Jimmy's Flowers on Thursday to order the 2 dozen roses special to be delivered to her today for her birthday. I ordered a get-well-soon bouquet for my mother's surgery about 5 days in advance. When I talked to her on that day she didn't mention the flowers- fine, she just had surgery, I totally understand. She texted me FOUR DAYS later that she had just recieved them. I was never contacted by Jimmy's about problems with the delivery or about it being late. I was disappointed that the surprise was so delayed and that the shop didn't (even a week later now) bother to let me know what was going on. Jimmy's always has the prettiest arrangements and quality flowers. We recently had to select a casket spray and side spray for my Dad's funeral. I wish I could remember the girls name that helped us but she was so kind, she answered all of our questions without rushing us. The first florist we went through did a terrible job... and when I requested a re-delivery, they refused. Enter Jimmy's - they did such an amazing job. So many beautiful flowers, coordinated all the colors (the last florist put so many colors in the bouquet that it looked hodge-podge - and the bouquet was supposed to be only pink and green)... finally, a florist who gets it right! The shop is nice and well kept. My experience here was not as pleasant. I'm not sure if it was because we used a 3rd party for our order for funeral flowers, but it was a little confusing from the beginning when I went in to add a custom ribbon banner. I'm frustrated because after specific instructions and verifying with the clerk who helped me, the flowers were not delivered on time for the family service Thursday evening, (even after asking a few times the time it was going to be delivered) but the ribbon which we went over for a bit of time with instruction - was never added either. So I was charged anyway. I doubt I'll use this flower shop again. I called in Friday morning to complain of my experience - which I will take up with the company we used - but still haven't seen a credit for the ribbon we were charged for from Jimmy's. read more

Jimmy's has everything you'll need, from the small arrangements for a nice preemptive strike that will keep the cobwebs in the doghouse, to the heavy nukes to get you OUT of the doghouse for naively answering your wife when she asks, "Honey, do these pants make me look fat?" Jimmy's also does the awesome fundraiser cards. For $30, you get a card that entitles you to one bouquet EVERY month. Talk about getting out in front of things! I buy 2 of them...that way every 2 weeks my wife has a fresh set of flowers. Either I just showed up all of the guys reading this, or I indicted myself that my actions require 2 bouquets per month. read more

I try to shop local and support local businesses but not getting a response, especially zero confirmation of any kind leads me to order thru a major floral company. I spent $90, it was not a frivolous amount. Poor customer service, will not use Jimmy's again. read more

However, the lady that answered the phone was extremely rude and kept interrupting me when I'd talk. Yes, it was Valentine's week and they were busy, but there's never a reason to talk to a customer like that. read more

Ordered flowers to be delivered to a location on Hill AFB. They called me the day of delivery and told me that they can't deliver onto Hill AFB because their driver called in sick. Then they asked me if the recipient could meet them at the gate, or, if I could come pick them up myself and deliver them. First off, I'm paying to have flowers 'delivered'. Such as, that's your job! That's part of the deal when I place the order. Second, I'm in Texas. So, no, I can't come pick up and deliver them for the flower delivery service I just paid to deliver them. And, nothing says surprise like calling who is getting the flowers and going, 'Hey, I know you're busy and I wanted to surprise you....but can you meet these 'delivery people' at the gate to get your flowers?' The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is that this is the second year in a row where I've pre-ordered Valentine's Day flowers a week in advance and they weren't ready when I came to pick them up. This year I was told that even though I ordered in person at the Layton store, that my address in Syracuse made me closer to the Ogden store and they made them there for pick up! They ended up being delivered the day of the funeral and didn't make it to the actual funeral. Very disappointed.
