STAY AWAY!!! RIPOFF!!! I really don't like to say bad things about people but I have to complain about this! My Mom & I ate at this place last night which is out in the Country in the middle of nowhere. We were charged a dollar higher for our meals than what their menu showed! We ordered an appetizer of Cheese Sticks & were charged about 40 cents higher than what their menu showed. The cheese stick appetizer comes with only (4) cheese sticks for $6.85. After all was said & done & we were through with our meal, our Final Bill came to $51 & change after leaving a gratuitous tip. Our total meal consisted of a 2pc. fried fish dinner, a 3pc. fried fish dinner, a bowl of potato salad for 52 cents, a cheese stick appetizer & (1) Pepsi to drink. My Mom ordered water to drink. (Thank GOD they didn't charge us for the water!) The total bill before I left the tip was $43.67. Does this seem high to you?? The food wasn't all that great either! My Mom said the potato salad was horrible! I'll never go back. read more

Well, I came to their new location to give them a try and unfortunately it was not a great experience. The food took FOREVER and for no reason. The service was less then average. I had to ask for my salad twice. All the vegetables are canned which is a huge disappointment. They were out of a lot of items too and for a Tuesday it makes you wonder why. No coleslaw, no cookies for the kids meal. Just a hot mess! The smoked meatloaf is good but instant potatoes take away from it. Overall not a great dining experience. read more

Poor customer service: Our family has been regulars at this establishment and sadly I cannot recommend them any longer based on our treatment this evening. Granted it was a busy Friday night for them but forgetting to put our order in and then coming to our table an hour after we had placed it to tell us that, "...we're sorry but your order didn't get put in and yours is now still 6 tickets deep..."! I'm sorry, but telling us that our order was not being put to the front of all others after already making us wait for an hour is not how you deal with that situation. In full disclosure they did try to pacify us by giving my wife and son their ordered slices of pie to go and they also included one for me that I didn't order, but it's of little help after you've waited 2 hours to get to that point including waiting to be seated! Never going back! Also, the pie was not really that great after trying a bite of it, but that's probably just me enraged over a very poor experience. We tried this place because of the great reviews, and so glad we did! Hole in the wall with great service, good atmosphere, and great food. I had the pulled pork. My husband had a sandwich special that included a hamburger, smoked cheese, pulled pork, smoked sausage, and bacon. I don't want to think about the calorie count, but it was absolutely delicious! Need to work on the sauce being more boom. Lumpia ... meh. Have had hundreds across the US and PI. Three little ones for $5 ... nope. Triple Pig sandwich ... pulled pork, ham and bacon. Found this place simply by driving by. Heading home from vacation early in the morning and nothing but fast food places until we came across this place. We figured how bad could it be all we wanted was breakfast. We were delightfully surprised. Breakfast was delicious. I had the country fried steak and eggs and hash browns and my spouse had the breakfast platter. Eggs cooked perfect and probably some of the best biscuits I have ever had. There was plenty of waitresses and all were friendly. The little general store had some very cute gift options as well as a dessert display case that we could not pass up. Wow, found this on my way to Pensacola and I am sooo glad we stopped. The owner was very friendly and came out to greet us. Then he brought us a house appetizer called "Lumpia" and said it was to try for free. They were fried Little morsels from heaven and we loved them! I had the Catfish Po-Boy and it was the best I have ever had. My GF had the Angus hamburger and she said the same thing. Then our server tells us they make the best and thickest milk shakes in all of Florida. So we had to indulge and she was right. I cant wait for my next vacation to FL because I will stop here again. read more

The restaurant is small but spacious. It has a home-ly feel and the staff and owners are really friendly. Everything on the menu is good especially the triple pig! I accidently got barbecue sauce on my eyes and now I don't need glasses!! What a miracle!! But all jokes aside this place is great and you can't get this great of an experience anywhere. Everybody should check it out when they come visit Pensacola. It will be worth it! As with any dining experience, there are positives and negatives. We drive out of our way to try Jimmy's - mainly because I worked with him at Coke. I was sad to see it's a Pepsi account. I'm sure Pepsi cut a large check to be in. Service is very slow. The staff do not seem to be focused on where their checks are coming from - the customer. They're all nice, but there is a lack of urgency. I don't think anyone realizes how long customers wait. I had a pulled pork sandwich and my wife had the country fried steak. Let's just say the grease needs to be changed more frequently. The bun should be toasted, not grilled and dripping w butter. Check should have been left at table so we could check out when we're done. Shouldn't have to wait as long after the meal as we did before it. For the $34 we spent, it had varying levels of disappointment. Attention to detail sums it up. Jimmy was outside working his crawfish boil - unaware of the troubles inside. Sad to see. Execution of the minute details make it or break it. This one is broken and in need of drastic overhaul and continued maintenance. read more
